We thought the job went quickly and smoothly. In Jun, 2009, due to a tree falling into the 2nd floor of the house during a storm repairs were necessary. Farris was again called out to make the electrical repairs. A month ago it was decided to change a lighting fixture in the room that received most of the repairs since it could not be turned off. Another electrician was called in because Farris was too busy due to their commercial work. The new electrician asked what we thought had been done because all the original knob-and-tube wiring was still in place in and in service and did not reflect what we thought we had purchased. The wiring was producing a reversed polarity and our problem with the lighting fixture was a direct result of this failure to make the correct change on 2 occasions. Further no junction boxes had been installed and upon crawling in the attic and in the basement with me the new electrician confirmed that not a single piece of new wire had been installed. We are past the statute of limitations to sue ... but would if we could!
