"WE WOULD NOT DO YOUR JOB EVEN IF YOU ASKED." -Diana from German Roofing This is by far the most unprofessional, rude, and insulting contractor I have ever dealt with. I am a Construction Project Manager with a B.S. in Civil Engineering and deal with contractors of all trades during my day job. Here is the full story: I reached out to this contractor initially to perform some standard concrete tile maintenance and a minor repair. They were very responsive to my initial request and sent me a line item cost estimate for me to review. My wife and I were out of town when they sent the first estimate and when we returned home, a section of our roof had fallen off. The section that fell off was part of the scope of work in the original estimate. However, now instead of being partially detached, it became fully detached and destroyed on the ground. I then contacted German Roofing to ask if they needed to conduct a second estimate and they said yes. The second estimate that came back was significantly higher so I decided to do some market research and ask coworkers what they thought. I came to the determination that some line items were priced high for the amount of work that needed to be accomplished. I marked up the estimate and sent back my counter estimate with questions next to the line items I marked down in price. This point forward is when I had the negative experience. The contractor came back saying there is no way they can lower the estimate and accused me of assuming I think they pay their employees unfair wages: "I apologize if you don't understand how this works or think that we just pay our people $50 for working in 100+ degrees on the roof but that's not how we do business and we can't lower the estimate any further." -Diana from German Roofing I further explained my reasoning and math behind why I felt the estimate was inaccurate and they got even more emotional and unprofessional. At one point they even said: "We would not do your job even if you asked." -Diana from German Roofing Negotiating cost proposals is nothing new. It is part of the construction business. There was no room for negotiating with this contractor. Instead of being professional and reasonable, they decided to be emotional and rude. They do not care about customer service or having a respectable company.

German roofing was professional from start to finish - they came out and gave free and accurate quote, were so responsive and their follow-up was great. The installers were so meticulous with the job and I couldn't be more pleased! I would highly recommend them and intend to let others in my HOA know about them.
