Description of Work: Called Keith with broken seat in recliner. He said he could fix if I brought it to him (60 mi rd trp). He said price would be about $75 if I brought it to him. I took the chair that day. He easily saw the problem and said it would cost more - maybe $250. I said I didn't like getting a price to drive there and then find it would be much higher. He said "Well how about $150 .. no .. $175." I said ok and when. He said by Saturday. (This was Tuesday, 2pm) I said ok. Next morn he called and said it was done and I could pick it up. I drove to his shop and he was gone. I called and he said I should have called before I came (this was 2 hrs after he called me). I was not happy and asked what we could do to be sooner since it was ready. He said he would be out working the next two days. I asked where on Friday and he said Norman/Ada. His route would pass within 1 mile of my house. I asked him to meet me at the exit close as he went by and he said he would think about it. He called back Thursday eve and said he had to use extra hardware and would add $5 to the bill. (This turned out to be a small angle bracket with 4 screws - $.85 at any Walmart.) I said ok so he said I would need to pay an extra $25 since he was delivering. This is when I got angry about price gouging and told him so. He said well how about $10 for the delivery. I said how about $50 off for my trip when you weren't there. Now you want extra money to pull over on your way to a job? After him telling me he didn't want to do anything to help since I was too hard to work with, I said when will you be at your shop for me to pick it up because I would pay no more than the $180. Finally he agreed to meet me on his way to the Friday job. When we met, I paid him and loaded the chair. I noticed that the springs on one side were not attached. He didn't have the job done and started "jury-rigging" with extra pieces. I saw what had happened. When he reassembled the chair he left the piece with the spring hook off! He ended up hooking the spring to another spring just to get it to hold. It sort of works but is not done well at a high price and a surly attitude. I will never go back to him!! The overall rating is not an F because it works, but nothing about the experience was pleasant.

Description of Work: We needed work on our sofa and love seat. A cushion needed to be fixed on the sofa and a mechanism for the recliner of our loveseat needed to be replaced. I had the part for the recliner and just needed someone to come do the work. Keith replaced the mechanism but did not fix the cushion.
