I purchased the Kenmore Elite washing machine in February 2013. I chose this one because Consumer Reports said it was a best buy. This washer took FOREVER to go through a cycle and constantly would get out of balance. Sometimes taking a whole day to try and wash a load. As soon as I called for a repairman the service for Sears tried to sell me a maintenance agreement. Which I declined. The machine was 1 year and 5 months old. The repairman came on Aug 21 and told me the rods were bent (the washer basket is suspended by rods) and that the valve that lets the water in was plugged. I waited for 33 days for the repairman to come back and finish with my washer. I ended up paying $229.17 to repair a 1 and 1/2 year old washer. I will never purchase another KENMORE appliance. SEARS is not what it used to be years ago.
