We have a pool in the back yard. We had been using an extension cord ran from the pump to the outlet by the patio door. Because the cord was so long, the breaker tripped quite often. We needed to have electricity ran to the deck and then we could plug the pump into the receptacle. I called one company and it took them over a week to come and make an estimate. When they showed up they said that it would cost $925.00 to run the electricity to the pump. You could tell that he really didn't want to do the job. He also told me that I could save money by digging the trench for the conduit myself. He said that he would knock $100.00 off the price. So I called Whitney & Sons. He showed up when he said he would and gave a very reasonable price. When I called him to schedule, he scheduled a time that was very convenient. He showed up on time and did the work as required. He was prompt, professional, and did a goood job. I would definately use him again and will recommend him to everyone.

We found Whitney and Sons on Angie's list. Called Whitney and Sons and the call was answered right away. Received Mr. Whitney (the father of father and sons) on the phone. He said he would come the next day and gave an approximate time. The next day he arrived right when he had said. He was very curteous and personable and went right to work. He fixed the light perfectly and his charges were reasonable and in line with what we have paid in the past for electrical work. We would certainly call Mr. Whitney again the next time we need electrical work. He was easy to get hold of, punctual, very professional, and reasonable on price; overall a great experience.

After finding Whitney and Sons Electric Co listed on Angie's List, I called him on a Tuesday and asked if he would be available to do some minor electrical work on Thursday - the day that was most convenient for us. He came on Thursday and completed the job. We then walked him through the house pointing out various projects that we intend to do in the future. He suggested several ways that we might take care of some of the projects ourselves and save money by not hiring a professional. Some of our plans include the need for an electrician and we'll be calling Ed when we're ready to proceed with those.

We are happy overall. He came out right away. We called him Friday and he came out the following Tuesday. The overall experience was excellent. He showed up on time. I would use him again in the future.

Got Ed's name on Angie's List. He was very responsive...came the same afternoon that I called....and did very good job. I'm calling him again for another project.

After reviewing Electical Repair companies on Angie's List, I decided to call Whitney and Son's to come out and look at my problem. Ed Sr was able to come out the next day and take a look at my wiring job. He fixed the problem in approx 30 minutes. I then asked him give me a quote on installing some new light fixtures throughout my house. His price seems very reasonable, and I plan to use him for future work.

It was an excellent experience. No problems and the price was great. We will call Whitney & Sons for additional electrical needs.

When I first contacted them over the phone, they could only give me an approx. quote! They said they'd have to check the price of the new breaker box to be sure of the finish price. It was late in the day & the suppliers had closed. So it wouldn't be until the next day that I received the final price quote. The next day they called me & said after checking the price of the new breaker box, that the previous estimation would stand as the finish price. We set a date for the following Friday & agreed on the time of day. They arrived @ the agreed upon time w/ all the materials & went to work. Within 2 hrs the job was finished. The only problem would've been that the utility co. didn't show up to remove the seal from the meter. But they weren't going to wait & hold up the job, so they went ahead & removed the seal. Later the utility tech showed up ( just as they finished the job) to put on the new seal & in the process found that my old meter wasn't working properly & replaced it w/ a new one. Overall, the job went very smoothly & efficiently. I won't hesitate to call them for my next electrical project!
