TruGreen Lawn Care - 5458

TruGreen is one of the most unresponsive, unprofessional companies I've ever dealt with. They came out and only did a portion of the work I purchased but still wanted full payment for it. I will never use them again or recommend them to anyone. There are far better companies out there. I paid more for their promise that my yard would look better because of their system and concluded the season with a yard that has a number of dead spot and a very dull green in the fescued areas.

The lawn care service was wonderful. Our lawn looks much better than when we were managing it on our own. The lawn care providers who came out were all very gracious and knowledgeable. My frustration with TruGreen came from dealing with them around billing issues. On more than one occasion, I thought a matter resolved, just to have to call back and go through the full explanation again. At one point, I had halted service, telling them I would not continue with their service until the billing current billing issues were resolved ... and someone came out to my house just a few days later. Since they frequently provide service even when residents aren't home, I was billed for THAT service, until I initiated ANOTHER dispute. ....The lawn care service itself has been quite good, so we have continued with the company while we watch to see if the billing issues resolve.

Yard was spotty semi green and never thickened. Both dogs had fleas even after 2 supposed applications.

They do it four times in the summer and do the lawn. We've been going around and around over three years with some of these weeds.

Absolutely terrible! If one picture is worth a thousand words, please look at the attached photos. They have caused these barren spots in my front yard and have allowed crab grass to grow. This has to be the worst lawn service I have ever had the displeasure dealing with. I have called them numerous times trying to resolve this matter with no success. They simply do not care! One example of their bad attitude was one day I came home from work and saw their technician applying fertilizer to my yard. I noted that along the road next to my yard, about 10% of their fertilizer (white pellets) was on the road, not on my grass. I spoke to the technician and explained to him that after the first rain all of their fertilizer on the road will end up in our community lake and it will cause eutrophication and algae blooms. He said that his boss will not buy him a guard for his fertilizer spreader, so every client he has will have about 10% of the fertilizer on the road! Do not prepay or give them your credit card number for an autopay. The only leverage you have with a very poor company like TruGreen is your payment. Do not pay TruGreen unless you are truly satisfied with their work. Good luck.

My yard looks worse than any other around. Weeds everywhere, still brown weeks after others started to green.

Not well. I had repeated trouble with this company. They would say they were coming (phone call) and then not show up. They left the gate open and my dog got loose. I sold my home and would never do business with them again. When you call them you usually talk to someone in another city. Don't think messages ever got delivered.

I was happy with the way they did my front yard but not my back yard -- I still have a lot of weeds. I also had to call them a couple of times to get them to come back. I've had better service from them in the past.

The cost for the services is $30 per treatment. I paid for the whole year. This is my first year to use them. So far, their work is fine. My interactions with them were good.

It has been good. We have had to call them back to treat weeds. They come out five or six times a year and spray or whatever.

We had to call after 2 weeks to find out they didn't service our area. They did, however, charge our credit card. It is a shame we had to call to find out. Very very disappointed.

The cost we paid reflected on a prepaid deal that we got from them. The first time we got the application, so far it was fine. They come; they call ahead before they come so that's a good thing there. I guess I've only seen them there because they occasionally came. They look and seem to be professional.

They killed a bunch of fescue grass. It turned brown at first then it went away because the grass died. They did come out and planted some seeds for me. I have been using them for years. They broke my underground telephone line and it took the phone company about a month to get it re-buried. I feel that they should know how to treat my grass since I have been using them for so long. I feel the prices are very high.

Lawn treatment did very little for my yard they would just tell me that I need to water and that I had clay soil that's hard to grow grass on. I put up with their treatments for 4 years but every year it would get worse, so that's the end of TruGreen for me. I will also share that 2 of my neighbors have gone elsewhere and 2 more are thinking really hard about doing the same.. I WILL NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!!

I have fescue grass not bermuda. Three times this or overfertilization. I now have a mess on my lawn.

They are fine. We use them all the time. We are satisfied.

Provider visits property regularly to control bugs, inhibit weed growth and fertilize for grass. Guys are always very professional and take good care of things often without my knowledge (a good thing).

We have had good experience with them. If they haven't seen weeds they will come back and fix if we call them. They are probably too expensive.

They always come when they are supposed to and do the job they were hired to do. They had two workers doing the insulation. They had to go up into the attic which is not very user friendly. They completed the work in one day and were very hard working. I can really tell the difference in my garage.

After calling to cancel service due to their rude no call no show, I ended up talking to 2 different people and neither canceled my service as requested. I then got an automated message informing me the appointment I had canceled twice already would be ran. I called the main customer service number and spent 10 minutes informing the customer service rep that I had canceled service 2x previously and that I did not want to do business with TruGreen under any circumstances. Her response: and quot;When can I re-schedule your service?and quot; After hearing her say that 3x she finally offered me a discount, 4x...That's 7x I had to tell her to cancel my service before she finally did. Keep in mind this is after going through a similar experience with 2 other reps. TruGreen showed the worst customer service and communication skills I have ever seen. They tried to strong arm me into staying a customer and forced me to explain myself to 3 different people and cost me approximately 4 hours of wasted time all together. I would not recommend doing business with this company.

Their service seems to be good. They do it on a proper time for different kinds of treatment. I am satisfied with their service and they are thorough.

I called them to get a free estimate and I was sold- apparently an estimate had been done on this property a few years ago so they were able to provide an estimate within an hour. Not only were they fast, but compared to the other companies that provided me with automatic e-mail estimates, I had a conversation with TruGreen and found the staff pleasant and informative. I have only had one treatment so far, but my weeds are starting to die and I'm excited to see how my yard turns out this year. I would recommend TruGreen, my parents use them as well.

They always ring the door bell, to let me know they are in my yard. They do their job and then leave paper work on my door. They are quiet, quick and always do a good job. If we have any questions they always take the time to answer them.

I have been a TruGreen customer for approximately two years, not continuously. The services that they provide are tailored to our specific needs and have been satisfactory. I am giving a poor rating due to their customer service. We requested a call ahead before each service so that we can secure our dog, preventing her from any contact with the chemical. This has been done sporadically and has resulted in me making several phone calls to reiterate that we really need advance notice which have been met with rude remarks and shortness. I don't know why this has been so problematic. We have also had issues with billing and service performed and billed to us for a prior address after moving. If you don't anticipate having any special requirements you should be fine. The second you have a special request or need customer assistance the experience deteriorates rapidly. We will honor our existing annual contract until I have to call customer service again. At that point, we will cancel.

33rd Place4Extremely reliable - quick to respond and are there timely. I had truly hoped that by changing lawn care services my lawn would be a deeper green. I have done more than my fair share of watering in their sprayings, etc., plus extra, and my lawn is still no greener than my neighbors who do not use any lawn service at all, so from that point I am disappointed. I had switched from TruGreen, and can't really tell any difference. I will use them a few more times, then consider switching.
