Sooner Chimney & Air Ducts

I called Sooner, he did identify a problem in the fire box and fixed it for less than $100. I had used him before and he is the best.

Mr Jamison came in identified the problem, gave us a price. However, he also told my husband how to do it if we wanted to. He explained what to do and even gave looked over the fireplace to make sure it was good to use this winter. I highly recommend him. He is Honest and seems to know his trade well.

He told me the chimney was not in need of a cleaning but could fill some cracks and insulate some openings if I would like. Since this is my first fireplace, I really appreciate the fact that he did not sell me a service I did not need even though I would not have known better. Great job!

It didn't need it! I lived quite a distance from the owner, so there was still a trip charge to pay, but he was very upfront about that at when I called. Also, he explained things about my situation that I had no idea about. It was a gas fireplace that had been changed to burn wood with an insert. It had a blower with several options on the switch that I wasn't sure of, and there was a catalytic converter on it. He also stayed long enough for me to feel comfortable that everything was working correctly.

External inspection revealed spalling brick damage requiring a brick mason to correct. Fire box was inspected and repairs were made to fireproof caulking as well as installation of wool insulation behind glass doors to prevent embers migrating from the fire box to the inside of the building walls. Inside of the brick chimney was made and determined there were no repairs needed there.

Promptly returned my calls. Showed up on time. Did a great job.

Jesse arrived on time--a little ahead of schedule in fact. My house is a 3 story split level and the dryer vents to the roof so cleaning it is not something I can do myself. We called Sooner Chimney to have the chimney cleaned, upon inspection, he informed me that it didn't need to be cleaned but he found several cracks in the fire brick. We agreed to have the fire brick replaced and the price he gave us was very reasonable, quick turn around and we are happy with the service

He was the only chimney repairman I could get to call me back. I was told by a home inspector that the chimney cap needed replaced. When Sooner came out they determined it would be fine if it was sealed. It saved me thousands of dollars. I felt like they were honest and fair. It took about 2 weeks before he could come out to repair the fireplace but it was well worth it.
