Our first contact was made in August to get the estimate etc. We chose them because they seemed more reasonably priced (???) and they said it should take about 2 weeks. They said they could start in 5-6 weeks, which would bring it up to October to mid October. That was okay thinking it would be done well before Thanksgiving. They didn't start till about November 1st, using MANY excuses as to why. One excuse was their cabinetmaker was behind schedule. Another was that someone was sick, someone quit, and again the cabinet maker was behind! We said they could be doing other things while waiting on the cabinet! When they finally got going on the job, they would not be here for a day or 2 at a time (supposedly working on other jobs). We felt we should have had priority because of when we hired them. They said they would try to have it finished for us by Thanksgiving.... When they had problems putting our new stove in place, it didn't fit & they pushed it only about 1/2 way back, saying now we can cook for Thanksgiving. (This was on Wednesday.. the day BEFORE Thanksgiving!) Then they didn't show up till one week later! They were the one's who measured for the new pantry, and it did not fit when they went to put it in! They had to trim the window frame it was next to in order for it to fit! This whole time, we had everything in other rooms to accommodate them. We were crowded and remained as calm as we could through it all. When it was all over and done with, and he was paid, we had asked for the tiles left-over so we could match any in the event one broke etc. we had to call several times to remind him to drop them off. When he did drop them off, he just gave us 1 box and we know there were at least 3-3 1/2 boxes left from the job. No way would we recommend them for a remodel job to anyone.

I highly recommend Perfect Home Renovations. They have done several jobs for me and I would hire them again. In fact, I wouldn't use anyone else now. You will not find a more hardworking and ethical group of home renovators. They have a wide range of experience to do many things, as evidenced by my list; I'm not sure why this review is in the countertop category; that was actually the one thing I had someone else do. I feel like we got a lot for our money; their prices are very fair. The one thing I have learned about home renovations is that there will be bumps in the road and things will take longer than expected. So, was the process "perfect"? No, but then I don't expect it to be. That is the nature of home renovations; you don't always know what you're getting into until you get into it. And some of the delays were my own fault for not picking out materials in a more timely manner or changing my mind. When I did have questions or comments regarding the work or the process, they were very good about listening and working with me to get things right. Any minor problems were worked out and taken care of in a professional manner. Were the results "perfect"? Absolutely. I love my new bathroom and can't wait to get moved in. And I keep thinking of projects for them to do!
Description of Work: They renovated a Master Bath in our new home: moved a wall over; removed wallpaper then textured & painted; installed new pan and tile in shower (which included a bench and a nice big recessed area for shampoos, etc.); installed frameless sliding shower door in shower; installed new tile on floor; installed tile as backsplash around tub; installed plumbing and light fixtures. Also built shelf all around Master Closet, removed old basketball hoop at driveway, removed old awnings, and painted shutters on outside. Before they started this project, they also painted the exterior of our current house, including shutters and front door. Before that they textured some walls in our current home and cleaned & stained our deck. (This previous work is not included in the cost of renovations listed above.)

Showed up to do job that I was told would take 1 1/2 weeks. Job didn't get finished until end of December. I was always put off for another job and never given the opportunity when tile was backordered to change my tile choice. He made decision to wait until tile came in, which was the end of November. One person would show up to work and the work day usually only consisted of about 6 hours. I had to constantly stay on them about shoddy workmanship, i.e. needing another coat of paint, hanging door back so it would close... They sanded my lineoleum floor and didn't protect any of my furniture or other parts of the house (open concept) before they did it. Paint dripped on door handles and windows and not cleaned up. Said he would do everything I wanted done and then ended up turfing my electric by giving me a name and number. I had to have them back to fix things after work supposedly finished, i,e. leaking pipe in bathroom and countertop came loose. Communication was horrible and excuses abounded.
