Put in complete new system 2 years ago this past May 6 at a cost of $14,000.00 plus. Jack Nelson’s has done an admirable job of maintaining the system regularly according to their schedule. Fast forward 2 years, coil in condensing unit is dumping the Freon and has to be replaced. After only 2 years of usage mind you! And for my $14,000 I now get the added pleasure of giving them another approximately $2,000 in labor charges to replace coil and recharge the unit with freon! Not exactly what I expected to happen 2 years ago when Jack Nelson sold me on their service and product. Waiting on delivery of new Coil (none in stock) and hoping this thing doesn’t crater in this heat before it gets here and gets installed. I’m old enough I probably won’t be in the market for any more AC systems, if I do it again I probably would do it differently! Now I’m going to have almost $17,000 in this one !!

Eric responded to my call to Jack Nelson Service within minutes. Eric came, surveyed my situation, gave us a price, and scheduled the installation the next morning. We had to install a ceiling mounted unit in the attic of the garage because I have used all the wall space and the exterior is rock and brick. Installation was only two days later! The technicians SCOTT and SAM were/are the best in the business!!!! They are perfectionist!!! I can not say enough positive words to tell about their commitment to doing a great job and their desire to see it through to fruition. When their work was completed, at 8:00pm, Scott and Sam still had smiles of accomplishment and satisfaction on their faces. Oh yeah, today I am elated with joy to be working in this wonderful climate controlled garage. THANKS ERIC, SAM and SCOTT. A VERY HAPPY CUSTOMER, TED BERNKLAU

They come out twice a year. They'll come out here probably at the end of August or September to check the heater. I pay $250 for the annual program.

Todd called before to let us know he was on his way and an approx time he would be there. Todd was very professional and let us know what the problem was how much it would cost and how long it would take to repair. very happy he got my heat working in about 45 min from the time he arrived

The only reason I gave this company a good score in any area was due to their 2 guys that did the install. You could not find anyone more dedicated with providing the customer a good job. They were proud of their work and so was I. The big issue was Danny, the salesman that lead the job promised things that he never followed up on, and that was also lead to a problem with company management. I had 2 concerns that Danny attempted to put to rest with his assurance that they would be resolved: #1: The A/C unit had a short cycle due to the unit being previously sized for an additional room, and that the humidity was running high we thought was due to a crack in the slab at one time that was repaired. Danny stated that the way he would design and split the air, it would solve the short cycling and should also resolve the high humidity problem. #2: I called to Danny's attention about the register in the kitchen being a small one to feed the kitchen and pantry room. My opinion was that when heat was applied to the kitchen area the air flow could not keep up. (Originally there were 2 large floor registers to feed these areas). Danny stated that he thought it would take care of it and to try it first. If it didn't work correctly they would come back and easily make an air change. The first time we cooked in the kitchen, you could hardly tell there was any air conditioning. That is when I got on the phone calling his number numerous times always asking nicely and professionally to return my call. After not receiving a call back I called his office and reported my experience. They noted my complaint and said they would make sure Danny returned my call and take care of the problems. No one was ever heard from on this issue at Service Experts again. About 2 months later I received a followup call from their home office asking me about my satisfaction with the install. After explaining the situation, they too said they would report this to management at the Tulsa office and make sure they took care of my issues. Nothing ever heard. A few months after the home office call, I received a survey call from Service Experts service department asking my rating of their service. The guy on the phone had no knowledge of any previous issues. I don't need to elaborate on my story to him. NEVER WOULD I RECOMMEND ANYONE DOING BUSINESS WITH A GUY OR COMPANY WHO WOULD NOT CALL BACK AND MAKE AN ATTEMPT TO SATISFY CUSTOMERS!
Description of Work: Change air/heat unit registers from floor ducts to attic ducts and resize 2 air intakes for proper air balance.

Over the last twenty plus years I have had a total of five new HVAC systems installed in houses I've owned. All of these systems were installed by Jack Nelson, Service Experts. In the past I have been extremely happy with Service Experts until I recently had a new system installed in a rent house in Jenks, OK. To begin with, the crew was five hours late. I was told by the person that sold me the unit that the crew would be at the house Friday morning around 8am. They showed up at 1pm. My daughter sat at the house for five hours waiting for the crew to arrive. Later that evening my daughter called me to let me know the unit was installed but that the installers did not install a filter in the unit and also refused to remove/replace the filter in the return. I asked her if they showed her how to use the new digital thermostat, she said they did not. At this point I called the sales person and asked if he had gone by to inspect the unit after installation. He had not. He did however send over a technician to remove the old filter from the return and inspect the unit. Obviously neither the installers, or the technician tested the heater after installation since the next day when the heater was turned on briefly visible smoke was blowing from vents into the house. Once again a technician was sent out. According to my discussion with the technician there can be an odor of burning oil on a new heater unit, however he said there should not be visible smoke. I still have not received a detailed explanation from Service Experts on why smoke was blowing out of the vents. The technician worked several hours on the unit relocating a gas line and installing a filter pack that should have been installed when the unit was initially installed the day before. The next call I made was to the General Manager of Service Experts. He gave a basic explanation for the poor service and lack of communication and agreed to provide a free one year service contract free of charge but only after I asked for the free contract initially. The bottom line is I will not use Service Experts again.

I have them put a two new furnace and air probably eight or nine years ago. Then I signed a contract with them. They come back two times a year, or anytime call them. They come in and check everything. Like in the winter, they do winter check-up. They check the furnace, and make sure everything is working properly. In the spring, they do the air conditioner. They make sure it is working properly. They put in new filters. Basically, clean up the air conditioner at the outside unit. It's probably worth it.

Called at 8:00 a.m. on the hottest Saturday of the year so far. They were able to get to the house by about 10:30 and finished within about 30 minutes. Service call charge was waived since a part was needed. I couldn't be happier to have my AC back on so quickly! Called several other places and was told it would be Sunday or Monday before they could get anyone out.

I would not use them again because I did not get treated fairly on the pricing and I had to replace one of the combustors just recently after it went out of warranty and the company that did the replacement said that is was due to an installation problem. I called Service Experts and they did not have any encouragement for me since it was out of warranty. I will not use them again in the future.

Central Air unit went out completely overnight Saturday during a 105+ degree heatwave. Sunday was projected 108. I called the main number and a live person answered and was very nice. She contacted a repairmen who was nearby. He showed up in less than 30 minutes. The repairman was pleasant and worked quickly. He showed me how to fix the problem for myself in the future. My only gripe was the $400 repair fee for a $50 part and 1hr labor.
Description of Work: Sixteen year old Carrier Central Air Unit was dead. Problem was diagnosed as a capacitor that started the compressor. The Fan was also inoperative.

They were hard to get to come out here. It took them 30 days to come. I bought a service agreement. When I called the office the next day to discuss them honoring a coupon with Angie's List, they said they never heard of Angie's List. They said they would get back with me and they never called back.

When our AC failed, I called at 10:00am on a Tuesday to schedule service, and Donald told me that someone would be out to perform service between 6:00pm and 8:00pm that same day. Later, approximately 4:00pm, their office contacted me to say that they needed to reschedule service for Friday. Very disappointing that they would schedule to get my business without checking actual availability first. By waiting until the end of the business day, they even kept me from finding someone else to handle the problem until the next day. Very sloppy at best, unprofessional at worst. I am not really frustrated that their schedule would not permit same day service, but they should not tell people it will in the morning and then change their story in the afternoon. Based on their ratings I am sure their technical abilities are great, they should give as much attention to their business practices.

Their representative was timely, very professional and explained our problem thoroughly. The issue was an ill-installed thermostat. Two other companies have serviced our furnace since this thermostat was installed and they could not make it work properly. The representative from ''Jack Nelson'' has made our furnace work better than it has in many years.
