Electric City

We have a funky 1920s house with plaster walls, so fixing things is always an adventure. We were lucky to get the owner, Jeff, on our job. He was extremely competent and seemed familiar with working with older homes. He and his assistant were careful not to damage the plaster walls and ceilings. They also put down plastic and cleaned up after themselves--even vacuuming. I was so pleased, I am planning to hire this company again to rewire our "man cave".

Had a small electrical fire in one of my outlets, called as soon as they opened at 8 am and they were promptly onsite at my house at 0930, diagnosed the issue with the outlet and replaced 5 others as a precaution. All told, it was about an hour. Super professional and efficient and very friendly. He took the time to answer as many stupid questions as i had time to ask, all with a smile. I will definitely being using this company in the future for any and all of my electrical needs!!!

Based on all the previous "A" reviews on AL, I called Jeff Wednesday of last week for this job. Scheduled time was 12 noon today, the following Tuesday. When he had not shown up or called by 12:50, my husband called him. He finally showed up at about 1:30. Handled the job (replaced two 3-way bathroom switches) fine. However, most of the time he was here and working, he was also on the phone trying to hire a helper. Seemed obvious he has more business than he can handle at the present time. This job probably could have been done quicker if it had his full attention. He also did not give us the advertised 5% discount for Angie's List members, even though I told him I got his name from Angie's List when I made the initial appointment with him. The 5% was not that big of a deal, guess it is the principle of the matter. Overall this was a disappointing experience, and would probably not call Jeff again.

Handled my electrical problem very professionally. This was not an easy find. He spent a good hour plus locating the bad receptacle. Once found it was mater of minutes and repair was completed. Top notch electrician I would definitely call him again.

Jeff did an outstanding job!! He was quick and professional, spent time in the crazy-hot attic, which I was very thankful for, and he made sure to cover our bed with plastic to prevent ceiling debris from getting all over it. He also spent extra time cleaning up and making sure everything worked right before departing. He earned repeat business from our end! The price was about what I would expect for the work and time... top quality, professional job; you get what you pay for.

They came out and new exactly what to do. He was only there about 30 min. He is always on time, and very professional.

Very professional and efficient service. The owner even came back later and "fixed" the outdoor light by replacing a bulb (free of charge) after I called and said the light was not working.

It went great. Jeff was friendly, and very prompt. His appearance was very neat and was clean. He listened to my problem and was very professional. He seemed to assess the problem very quickly and was finished in no time at all. Jeff Tilton also cleaned up his work area and DID NOT leave the pieces of wires for me to clean up. This was very thoughtful and professional. I would recommend him to anyone needing electrical work and would not hesitate to call him again.

I called AJ Electric and talk with Jeff Tilton about adding the circuit. As luck would have it he had an opening in his schedule and was able to come to my house in minutes. We agreed on price and what I wanted and he was able to start immediately. In little more than an hour Mr. Tilton was finished and I am very pleased with his workmanship and quality of materials. He also took the extra effort to re-anchor my main breaker box which was very loose. Job well done and I will use AJ Electric for my future electrical needs.

Did initial quote. Never communicated, had to call him for followup. scheduled two appoints and never showed for either.

It went great. Responded quickly to inquiry for bid. Scheduled it in conjunction with our specified scheduling wishes. Work was scheduled within a few days of original bid request. They arrived at the exact time they said they would and wasted no time getting to work. They did not take any shortcuts or breaks so they finished all work in a very timely manner. It was extremely hot and they had to work in the attic. They worked very hard. When I asked them to move their 2 vehicles so that I could get my car out of garage they responded promptly and politely. It was an "easy" experience and I appreciated that. Will use again-should I have a need.

Jeff quickly returned telephone calls. He called ahead of arrival to let us know he was on his way. He quickly diagnosed and replaced faulty photoelectric control. Highly recommended.

Quite well! Very pleased with Jeff's work and professionalism. Jeff assembled and installed two ceiling fans; had to go up in attic crawl space - it was in the high 90's that day too.

Job went very well. Jeff came out to my house at the end of the day on the 15th to see what all needed to be done, and informed me that he would be back at the end of the day tomorrow to do the install. I got a call early the next day from Jeff, and he asked if he could do the work that morning since had a cancellation. I said sure, and he showed up not long afterwards. He did all the work and cleaned up after himself all in about 30 minutes. He was more than on time, he did good work, and was professional. On top of all that, his prices were very good. I would definitely use him again in the future.

One of my circuit breakers wasn't working and he figured out why in a very short amount of time.

Jeff set reasonable expectations when scheduling this appointment to replace our existing bathroom heater/fan since he had another large job before us. He promptly called 15 minutes before the appointment time and informed us of a new arrival time since he was running behind schedule, which was expected and not a problem for us. Jeff was professional and courteous in his interactions, charged us the agreed amount, and he arrived at the revised arrival time. He completed the project in less than two hours, was careful to keep insulation off the carpet, and cleaned up the work area afterwards. We appreciated that he was working in a hot attic on a 90 degree, humid Oklahoma afternoon. The installed heater/fan looks and works great. We will call Jeff at AJ Electric the next time we need electrical work done.
