Electric City

I initially spoke with the owner, got a ballpark quote over the phone and set up appointment for them to come to my house to do the work. I took time off work to be home, but they never showed. An hour past the appointment time, I called the owner to get an update. It didn't seem like he remembered our conversation. He told me that his employee was working at another job site and wouldn't be able to make it. He then told me that if I wanted to take more time off work the following day, they "might" be able to squeeze me in. I opted to go with a different company rather than risk a second no-show situation. Electric City has a lot of good reviews here, so I was looking forward to working with them. Apparently they're great if you can get them to show up.

I had been using a mix of wireless and power-line wired networking in my home. Because I recently began working more from home I decided to have gigabit ethernet ran through out my home to improve performance. As with other times I have had them out, they were on-time, did a professional job and left the place clean.

They arrived on time and did a great job. They were professional in every way.

As with every time I have used them for personal or rental properties, they arrived exactly when they said they would, did a great professional job. On another note, I have had to vacuum debris or dust on floor or baseboards with some other tradesmen. Not with these guys. They vacuumed and left the worksite clean.

Other than making a mess of my back yard everything went great. The mess in the yard was unavoidable since is was raining about every other day. I agreed to hold back enough of the payment to rent myself a machine to smooth my yard after it dried out (just in case they did not come back). After a few weeks of letting the yard dry, they came back and finished smoothing the damaged area in the yard as promised. If I ever need an electrical contractor again I will definitely call them.

It went fine. Shane was the tech that arrived and replaced the breaker. He also checked the other breaker connections to verify they were secured properly and had power. Shane was very pleasant and answered several questions that i had concerning the circuit breaker.

These guys are incredible. Showed up on time, did the job right the first time, and was less than I expected on price. This honestly has been the best experience I have ever had working with a contractor, let alone an electrician.

AJ Electric is the best. If you are planning any kind of electrical work look no further. My project included new lighting indoors and out, new outlets and a new circuit box upgrade. AJ’s two man crew were professional and offered good advice and options along the way. The job was completed in a shorter time than I had expected. The final cost of the project was within my budget. The new lighting is stunning and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results. I am happy to add AJ Electric to my list of companies I would use again and will refer family and friends. On the hottest day of summer our AJ professional worked in tight, dusty spaces of this old house bringing the wiring up to code. They also noticed an unsafe lighting situation (for these senior citizens) in the basement and corrected that . Thanks to AJ Electric we feel much safer and have plans for another project in the future. They are prompt, professional, friendly and reasonably priced. We certainly recommend AJ.

They are highly professional and careful inside the house. Someone came over, assessed the project and gave us a fair price. They sent over the electricians promptly and stuck with that price even though it took much longer than expected. They were super careful when they brought in what seemed like the tallest ladder on planet earth to change some of the bulbs. If you want most any job done well, on time and for a solid price, I would recommend AJ Electric Inc. highly.

The owner was the one on call because his team was on July 4th vacation (which I thought was very admirable). He was very nice, punctual and fixed what was needed.

The crew was fast and knowledgeable and the owner inspected the work. They price was fair and they were upfront, professional and trustworthy.

They came out early in the afternoon (the issue occurred at around 11am) and checked everything and replaced the light fixture because it was bad. We ended up having to call the technician for the phone system because all of the electric check out good.

Was easy to make contact and schedule. Were on time and got the job done. One thing I found somewhat "annoying" was I listed out all the repairs I needed done in advance, which included several GFCI installs. When they came, they only brought white ones because that is standard and informed me I should have told them in advance if I needed a different color (my outlet are black with metal coverings) and it would cost me more labor and materials for them to go get the proper color and plate coverings. I went ahead and did that so it all matched for the new homeowner, and I'm not sure how much more I ended up paying for that in the end, but I found it silly it was my responsibility to know to provide that information up front. That being said, I will still use them in the future. All else was great.

Very good. The electricians were efficient and professional. They performed the work properly and quickly. A few days after installation, one of the new receptacles was found to be defective. AJ Electric was contacted and came out that day and replaced it. No hassle, no worry, no charge. Price was reasonable, less than I expected to be charged.

Very professional and a job well done. I would hire them again.
