Chris did the work in only a few hours, cutting, fitting and cementing in the new paving stones. The quality of his work was excellent, and you can't even tell this was a repair job. We would hire Chris for any masonry work we need.
Description of Work: Tree roots in our patio have pushed out and damaged the paving stones cemented around a small pool. I used a concrete saw to cut and remove some of the paving stones to prevent further damage, but cutting and cementing in new, smaller stone blocks to match the surroundings was too much for me. We hired Chris for this job because he has worked for us on earlier, much larger jobs and he always did excellent work.

Description of Work: He came to look at an issue with my fireplace. It turns out it was not a masonry problem but an insert issue. He asked around and got back with me the next day with the name of a place that he thought could help me. Was very professional and I appreciate the time he took to help me find someone who could address my problem.

Chris and helper were prompt and efficient. They found the original stone border around the mailbox did not have a foundation under it, so they put one in for the damaged part. The old blocks were put back in place in a very professional way, matching the remaining undamaged part of the rock border. It looks great, and you can't tell were the old work meets the new.
Description of Work: Repaired stonework around mailbox that was ripped up by the city during street repairs. Also did minor grout repair on stone wall of house.

Repairing the stone wall in the patio took less then a day and was done very professionally, including trimming back the part of the tree that had pushed out the wall. Chris had to disassemble part of the wall and re-cement in the stone blocks. He did such a good job that we hired him to add two feet of rock height to the back of the house. The work he did was very professional, followed by a thorough cleanup. The only disadvantage to his work was that he was also helping his wife in her house cleaning business, so part of the work had to be done in the evening, for a few hours each night when the temperature was going to stay above freezing. The delays this caused were not a problem for us, but could be for someone else. So you need to ask him about how busy he is and how quickly he can do your job.
Description of Work: Chris Phillips did two jobs for us. First , he repaired a stone wall in our patio that was being pushed out by a tree growing next to it. Chris had to disassemble part of the wall and re-cement in the stone blocks. Next, we hired him to add to the rock covering the siding on the back of the house (to improve the sound-proofing of a back bedroom). He gave us the name of the cheapest rock supplier in the Tulsa area and helped us accurately estimate the amount of rock needed.
