Showed up on time, stayed busy and did rather quickly. Due to overall bath remodel he was not able to put up all the hardware. My only complaint about this company is that they are so busy and I am unable to schedule more hours from them to help complete my remodel project.

Joe was very thorough and asked a lot of questions to make sure he understood the scope of the project and the "critical" items on our remodeling wish-list. The bid was returned by email very quickly and was comprehensive and complete and itemized. Doing a remodel with Home Guard Construction would be a "hands-on" project for the home owner. If you are wanting to go to the Home Store and pick out your cabinets, tile, paint, countertops, flooring and trim and have someone install them then Home Guard Construction would be a good fit. Unfortunately, I wanted (needed really) more "design" help. I was looking for a contractor that would be able to work with me to achieve the "look" and functionality that I wanted, not one that would do the installation. Overall, I was impressed with Home Guard and would not hesitate to use them for a building or installation project.

This company did an excellent job with all aspects of the remodeling. The workers were courteous, on time and cleaned the area well before they left. I would absolutely use this company again. I have no complaints about any aspect of the work that was done.

Mr. Hummingbird is a man of his word, both in dollars quoted and work completed to my satisfaction. The problems arose when a devastating wind storm struck Tulsa, forcing his crew to stretch thin. Secondary craftsmen were called in, resulting in less than sterling work. (The laundry room had to be repainted and some cabinetry redone). Additionally, material such as flooring and countertop took longer to arrive than originally thought. Of course, these incidents prolonged the completion time, but Mr. Hummingbird made certain whatever had to be done/redone was completed to my satisfaction, without additional cost. Yes, I would hire him again, and have already done so. I know his prices are fair and that the work, as executed by his regular crew, will be professional. If not, there's always the prospect of a grade F on Angie's review.

Wonderful, we could not be any happier with the work done by HomeGuard Construction. We had not used a remodel contractor for years so we got on Angies List to find a good one. We got better then good, we got EXCELLENT! We are senior citizens and needed an honest and reliable company. My wife is on oxygen and during all the construction they were very professional and considerate of her condition. The craftsmen were on the job and busy from start to finish. They were very careful of existing surroundings and precise in their cleanup. Pat was always there to make sure all work was going as we had agreed. He is easy to talk with about your project and any concerns you may have about certain details. We are planning other projects in the future and will use only HomeGuard Construction and highly recommend them to others looking for a remodeling contractor. The price, workmanship, professionalism and overall customer service was outstanding.

The crews were very professional and responsive to my concerns. I would hire them again in a heart beat.

I was pleased with the work that was done, although it could've gone much faster if more than one man was on the job each day.

The whole process with Homeguard was a pleasure. The bid was itemized so that we could decide on each step / item individually. We had thought about taking out a double window in a bedroom so as to install doors. We decided not to do that. No issues at all. Homeguard suggested that we purchase on our own the doors, windows, and carpet. This allowed us to shop sales and save money. When the doors and windows arrived, they helped with the delivery at no cost. The workers were always pleasant and would explain what they were going to do at any time it was needed. From the reviews here, this seems to have been one of their larger projects. At least it is one of the larger ones reviewed on here. I'm sure they can handle whatever you may need.

We had a contractor deal go bad which left us with a supply of sheet rock and numerous unfinished sheet rock jobs. I turned to Angie's List for help. I emailed Mr. Hummingbird and explained the general work needed. He responded to my inquiry in a timely manner and scheduled an appointment. He arrived promptly and assessed the jobs. He priced the jobs separately which gave me more planning flexibility. He provided the below quotes: Bedroom ceiling: Skim coat or drywall over existing to keep from having to demo. Mud, tape and add knock down texture. Labor only $425 Bathroom: Build wall with and add door around hot water tank. Add drywall and repair walls and ceilings. Mud, tape and knock down texture: Labor only $1500 Closet: Build wall, add drywall as needed. Add Knock down texture: Labor only $750 Door way trim: Cut back studs to match wall. Add trim and finish around trim: $250 Door attic in living room: Build access door to attic in the living room area: $250 Pull down door attic: Frame in pull down attic door and add trim: $150 I decided to proceed in phases with the Closet and Door Way Trim being phase 1. They started on a Thursday, worked Friday and completed that Monday. I had to work and therefore, was not present during the entire job. When I came home on Monday, I had some concerns regarding the finish job. I contacted Mr. Hummingbird and explained my concerns. He stated that he wanted me to be pleased with the job and asked when would be a good time for him to come by and inspect the job. We scheduled the visit for 6:00 that Tuesday. We agreed on the areas that needed attention and concluded there was a communication breakdown. He committed to having a worker out at 8:00 on Friday. He also offered to complete some trim work at no additional charge that was not included in the initial quote. The worker arrived at 8:00 and was done at 9:10. When I came home on Friday, I was pleased with the finish job. There's always a risk when selecting a contractor. However, it was refreshing to work with Mr. Hummingbird who was adamant about ensuring I was satisfied. He refused to accept payment until the job was complete to my satisfaction. I would certainly recommend HomeGuard Construction Inc.

Pat was very prompt and professional from the time of the initial contact until the job was completed. The work completed by his team was excellent and quick. We would not hesitate to utilize his services again.

Everything went really well with the quote we got from Homeguard Construction Inc. The person that came out listened to what we had to say and then made some good suggestions that helped us kind of make a few decisions that led us down the path, closer to actually being able to get the job done. We got their quote back and we're still in the process of kind of going through everything.

Very quick to respond to my email, set up appointment and was very prompt, courteous and professional. They provided the estimate very quickly as well. We did not choose them to do the work only because we found someone else who was a better fit.

I hired them for my mom who had an add-on room that was damaged. Very prompt on estimate and started within a couple of days, which was needed due to weather possibly further damaging the room since it was exposed. Rebuilt part of wall, replaced door and did brick work to match existing brick. Mom did have one issue with the top bead on the brick, but they got right back out and resolved with no questions or hassles. Mom was very satisfied with the work and they came in under the estimate the insurance people had given.

Perfect, exactly as promised and on time and left no mess for us to clean up. Everything was done right the first time. I have re commended them to several friends and clients and NO complaints.

We have hired this company to remodel several parts of our home that we have moved out of and moved to another state so we could not be available while the work was being done and throughout the process. They also maintain our home until it was sold which requires alot of trust to be put in someone else's hands. The are very professional, show up when they are suppose to or say they will, trustworthy, and honest. I feel their pricing has been fair. They have had total access to our home and we have never had one complaint throughout this process. Would recommend them to anyone.

He came one day and found the leak and did the caulking. He removed the shower door. Next day he came with a new shower door and installed it. Repaired sheetrock.

The project which took six (6) days to complete went very well. The first couple of days, there were 4-6 workers on the job. After that, the number varied but there were always at least two (2) on the job. The workers always showed up early in the day, usually on/near the designated start time. Their craftsmanship was excellent as was their ingenuity when dealing with small but unexpected problems was excellent. Recommendation to homeowner (regarding any remodeling job) ... without hovering, generally stay aware of the work in progress so that you can answer any questions or provide general directions as required. Follow-up after the job was prompt; small (and typical to remodeling) touch-up and repainting was promptly addressed. Communications between the contractor (and workers) and homeowner were always cordial and clear.

Pat Hummingbird of Homeguard Construction Inc was not professional. He didn't even bring a tape measure. The only information I have is his name, not the company's, nor their address. He was late. Because he didn't bring a tape measure, he didn't know how big or small the area was, so he quoted me on what he thought it was, which made him way too high. I didn't even bother to write the quote down, and he never sent me one.

I called Homeguard and they came out and gave me an estimate as well as Allied Fencing, after reviewing estimates we decided to go with Homeguard they were considerably less costly and had great review. We scheduled for Friday and I received a call letting me know they could come Thursday, which was great. When they finished the gate it looked great. If anyone is looking for fence work I would highly recommend Homeguard, My husband informed me we used Allied Fencing last time and their quality was questionable.

I've used Homeguard Construction in the past. They painted and repaired the exterior of the house and have done a kitchen remodel for us. So when I needed a fence replaced, I knew who to call. Pat Hummingbird was quick to respond and send someone over. His guy worked hard on the fence despite the 105 heat and had it completed in less than a day. He even matched up the height of the fence with my next door neighbor's. Something I would not have thought of. It seems that no matter how large or small the job, Pat's guys pay attention to the details. Of course the old fencing was hauled off and my yard was left in the same condition it was in before the work.

I was purchasing a new home and wanted to replace the office flooring with vinyl. I pulled three companies from Angie's List and contacted them. Pat was on time and gave me a fair estimate. I purchased the flooring at Lowe's and he picked it up on the day that he was installing the floor. The carpet was taken out in one piece as requested and hauled into the garage. The flooring was completed in a day and it is perfect for the office. Other than paying for the flooring, no money was put down. After the floor was in a bill came for the installation.Friendly, efficient, and no pressure. I will call them for any further remodeling.

Pat & Chuck worked very well with me to get the flooring installed in a timely manner as soon as Lowe's got the shipment in. They arrived on time and got to work immediately removing the carpeting and doing all the prep work while Chuck went to pick up the flooring. Danny, Craig and Chris (the installers) were very prompt and efficient. They did excellent work and their perfectionism is greatly appreciated. I am very pleased with the outcome - they responded promptly when I had some issues with the product (not the installation) and they worked diligently until the problem was resolved. I will use them again for any future flooring installation. I am very pleased with their work and quick response time. I highly recommend them. Ours was a very large area and no one can see any of the seam lines and the pattern matches up perfectly. It really looks like one big piece of vinyl that was never cut. GREAT work!!!!

I went to Lowe's who had a good selection, but the earliest I could have it installed was 10 days. I went to Home Depot and they don't carry vinyl instore - special order only. I decided to try Angie's List. I contacted two contractors. Pat Hummingbird, the owner of Homeguard, came out that evening to give me an estimate. I asked him if there was anyway he could have the job done by the end of the next day. He said - yes!! I cancelled the second estimate. Not only did he have the flooring installed before the next evening - I ordered the materials at Lowe's - he picked them up (and he paid for them) - he was on time to the job site and did an excellent job. He billed me (providing the Lowe's invoice) and accepted a check as payment. I highly recommend Homeguard for your remodeling.

I will not use this company again, due to the length of the job. They quoted that the job would be done in two days but it took four weeks. The company stated that the entire crew would be on the job site but when they came to work there was only one person every day. Then the last day there were two people working. The work was done sloppy. I complained how the work was done and they sent someone else in to fix it and did not do anything. We are just going to fix it and not let them do it again. They would pull nails out and not fill in the holes and they would beat in the nails further in the wall. Then they would paint over these mistakes.
