Joseph was on time, finished in the time promised and they both work perfectly. I’ve used him before and he always does a top notch job.

Joseph received my request, and he immediately replied. My laptop is 5+ years. After a brief conversation, Joseph made a few recommendations, even though he could not profit. Joseph is professional and pleasant, and I will keep his number handy.

Computer Genius is the best computer service I have ever used! I have hired them three different times, once at my office and twice at my home, first for my own computer, then for my daughter's. I wish I'd called them years sooner because my computers have never worked as well as they do since they've fixed them up. The owner answers the phone himself, and he's the one who comes out to do all new service calls. He even gives you his personal cell phone number so you can reach him in an emergency. And they guarantee all their work, which I have NEVER before gotten from any other computer place. The owner, Joseph, has been doing this for over 30 years, and it shows. He's probably the most knowledgeable computer guy I have ever dealt with, but he's also easy to understand, and he explains everything he's doing and gives you options on any possible solutions. While Joseph was here working on my computer, I asked him about a problem I've been having with my home theater system (sound not working properly) and he got up, quickly eyeballed the connections in the back of my stereo, did something with some wires, AND FIXED THE PROBLEM I'D BEEN HAVING FOR YEARS!!! It took him about 10 minutes. I'd had two different stereo "technicians" look at it before, and neither could explain the problem, and Joseph figured it out and fixed it in the blink of an eye. Computer Genius is fast and very responsive, and once they fix your computer, it stays fixed! I am totally happy to finally find a computer service that I can trust. It's about time!

The person who came to my door had a very arrogant know-it-all attitude to what I asked to be done. He started pulling out wires and moving things around. Since I would be the operator of the devices I tried to learn what he was doing but he made it very clear he didn't like that. At the end of the day the TV worked but sometime after he left, I realized that my security cameras were off and not recording 24/7. It was then I realized that the Camera was not working and I had to pay someone else to come out and re-wire everything and I had to buy a new 24/7 4-track recorder to monitor the security at my home. Then I got a call from the worker, Joseph, to tell me my payment did not go through and when I asked him for a physical address to send him a return certified check. He refused and so, with a little research, I found out he had LLC'd himself and he and his business' street address were listed with the Secretary of State. I sent him a certified check and he was so angry that he said he would just give my check to the District Attorney. Luckily, I had the certified check copy and the shipping information from FEDEX. So, I'm out $2,000 worth of video equipment and my system doesn't work hardly at all. What a sad way to do business. Ordinarily I would have a video of the person who carried out my equipment but he was smart enough to disconnect it and to leave with the video recorder. It just is ridiculous how some people treat you when you allow them into your home. I learned my lesson.

He solved the problem, and got things working. Will use him again if needed.

My experience with Joseph this time as with days past was very pleasant and he was extremely helpful!!! I would have and have no problem recommending his services and knowledgeable help to anyone who needs help with their computer. First class and 5 star stellar service!!! Kudos good friend to you!

Joseph felt it might be the hard drive after I described what I troubleshooting I had done and results I had seen. He drove from his location to mine that evening (impressive!). He spoke to me later that evening keeping me informed of what he was doing and how it was going. The next day he continued to work on the computer concerned it might be the motherboard due to certain indications. After in depth troubleshooting using certain software, he determined it was the hard drive. He replaced the drive, then added back the software. Joseph returned my Mac Book Pro the next day (amazing!) with the computer up and running with all the basic software installed. All I had to do was restore my data to the Mac. I was able to head out of town with my Mac. Thank you Joseph. You will be the only person we will call in the future.

Thank goodness I didn't try this myself. It went well--much more complicated than i thought. Everything is working and there was no down time for the business.

Every time we have called Jonathon for computer service and/or repairs we have a positive solution.

The contact with him was fine, I called him directly. He said he could come out that evening and look at my computer and he did. He spent about 1 hour going through the computer and installing antivirus and letting me know what I could do to make more space on my hard drive. He also showed me how to speed up my startup by not having so many programs going. I will use him again if I have another problem, because he was very responsive.

Excellent. Call me I have another piece of business.

He promptly called us back but it turned out that we didn't need him to come after all.

I called Mr. Holmes of Computer Genius after a lightning strike had ruined my modem. Much to my surprise and relief he was able to come out that very day. He was courteous, business-like and it was immediately obvious that he knew what he was doing. I sensed that he wanted to be thorough and that he took pride in his work. I felt that his charges were reasonable and I would certainly feel confident in using his services in the future.

"He was responsive and came out as promised on time and began work quickly on my computer. As others have said about his work, he gives advice and suggestions about how to avoid junk, etc on your computer that you don't want. He offered suggestions for making sure it runs effeciently and fast. He was able to clean off my computer from some of the things that were slowing it down. He put AVG security software on it to protect it and suggested I ask for a refund for protection I had just purchased online. He told me the AVG software was free. He was unable to resolve the issue with my cursor jumping around. I ended up finding a fix from a friend.But my computer did run better. Several weeks later I received an email pop up asking if I would like to update the AVG basic security software. Because it said, "AVG" and I knew that was the software he had downloaded, I assumed it was just the free program he had supposedly previously loaded, so I said "Yes." thinking it would just continue the protection. Evidently, I either had a trial AVG program on the computer or I misread the message because it wasn't but a few days later that I got another pop up asking if I wanted to purchase the AVG basic security software since my trial version would run out. At any rate, I called Joseph to tell him what had happened. And he basically said it was on me because I answered a pop up window. In my defense the message said AVG and since I knew that was what he had installed I was sure that was a legitimate popup. He said he might be able to come by and maybe he could get me back to the free version without much trouble for no charge. He never came by or called me. After a few days I called him about coming back out and he said it would be fine - that it was no big deal. I continued to get messages with a "Countdown" to when my trial version would run out. So I texted him and asked if I just let the trial version lapse, would the free version he put on still be on there protecting my computer. I didn't hear from him so I called him again. He suggested I go out to AVG's website and get the free version and download it and install it myself. I did my best to follow those instructions but I was unable to get the free version on my computer. Final result, I ended up paying AVG for their basic security software download although they tried their best to upsell me all kinds of other services - Express install (which they said was like having a computer tech there doing it for you.) LOL! I thought that was why I originally hired Joseph. Anyway my security software is in place for a year now at an additional cost of $60 in addition to the $335.00 I paid Joseph. When I texted Joseph to tell him all the trouble I had getting the software loaded, he said to contact him next year when it was time to renew it and he would walk me through the renewal process. I would have preferred he come by as he said he would and possibly much of my trouble could have been avoided. I need a computer guy I can call when I have any number of problems with my computer - regardless of if it is my fault due to my lack of computer skills or just a malfunction of software or hardware. I think Joseph is good at doing cookie cutter decluttering of computers and giving instructions on how to keep one's computer free of too much junk. But I think that's really primarily the bulk of what he provides with his service. I will find another computer guy that can actually come out when I call and trouble shoot the problem regardless of why it happened.

He was professional and responsive. He cared about my problem. If I need computer repair in the future, I will definitely keep this company top on the list.

wow is all I can say. computer is much faster. fixed wrong settings. fixed sound problem. better anti virus installed. all of this and more in about 30 min. Joseph can give you advise to keep your computer running smoothly.He came out in an hour after calling. Cordial and professional. I would call him for any computer needs. He will save you money in the long run.

I have NO objections to the work he did. However, since this is my work computer, I called him and asked him to please send me an itemized statement of services provided so it could be included in my income tax. The first call he said he would get it in the mail. The SECOND call he said he had told his assistant to do it. He would ask asst. again to mail it. THIRD call he said he would just mail it himself. Did not EVER receive requested statement in the mail, nor did I receive a call from him. I called him a FOURTH time. He did not answer. I left a voicemail. NEVER returned my call. I will not use him in the future nor refer anyone to him.

Excellent. He was willing to share his knowledge with me so I could maintain my personal computers at home as well as my student computers in my classroom.

He was very fast and fixed the problem plus he removed viruses we did not even know we had and improved the speed of the computers vastly! He also explained in context the workings of the computer in a way I have never had explained before plus showed us how to operate the computers in a much more efficient way!

He came out three different times and there was a couple of times that he didn't even charge me. He was really good. He was very nice. He definitely knew what he was doing. He is very good. I would definitely get him first.

He is very thorough, explains all details, and is very knowledgeable. His performance was exceptional. The repair of the computer took several hours. Mr. Holmes was very patient with the whole process. I highly recommend him if your computer is not operating effectively.

Joseph did an outstanding job removing a nasty virus from my laptop. During the house call he took the time to explain the basics of computer maintenance, health and internet safety. He's extremely knowledgeable and thorough. Joseph had my computer cleaned-up and working smooth in less than 45 minutes. He also stands 100% behind his work! I've called him twice after the initial fix for phone consults, and he was able to talk me through each issue on the spot...absolutely phenomenal technical support and customer service! Joseph has my highest recommendation.

He did a fantastic job of what I wanted him to do. When I called and talk to him he was straight and direct. He called before he came and did the work I wanted. He was working on both laptop simultaneously I have and he did ok. One of the laptop was a problem where you could not see the screen. He seemed knowledgeable about what he was doing. The communication was excellent and I would use him again.
