Dingey Movers did a fantastic job. They excavated around the building in preparation for putting steel beams underneath to lift it up. Work was suspended temporarily when it was discovered that the building was too rotten to be lifted without replacing and reinforcing the framing, including floor joists, studs, support beams. When the building was reinforced, it wa elevated about 8 feet so that the old foundation could be cleared out. New footings were dug, poured, and a new wall was laid that matched all the wiggles in the old building. One end was a couple of inches longer than the other end, for example, and the walls weren't straight, but the foundation was built to match the building. When the foundation was laid, concrete was poured into the spaces in the concrete block to strengthen it, the building was lowered, the steel beams removed, and the holes that were left in the foundation for the beams were then filled. The work was performed in a very competent manner, with great foresight as to the things that could go wrong, and steps taken to be sure that they did not go wrong. The company is very trustworthy and fair to deal with.
