They told us to put all our things in the middle of the floor. We did just that. However, dust was all over our things, a lot of it. They cut around the perimeter etc. Added the sump pump. The main reason for hiring them was that our basement was wet, sometimes had a little water on the floor and the dampness caused so much mold! We couldn't use our basement with it in that condition. Although there is not any actual water on the floor, there is so much mold on the floor and the smell of the basement is so musty. There are signs of mold everywhere. Also the sump pump pipe on the outside of the house leaks, flushing water out into my flower bed. I'm so disappointed. We still can't use our basement. It doesn't matter who lives here or who owns the house, the basement is not how we wanted it and the mold causes many illnesses. I, the daughter, called Jes Co. and told them the basement was still damp. I also called the BBB. Jes argued saying that I do not own the home (yet I do live here). But Jes did not address the issue of the dampness and did not bother coming out to inspect it for themselves. Nothing else was done about it. Highly disappointed. We were willing to work with the company, but they didn't seem like the cared to correct the problems or come out to look for themselves. Taking the money and running...........It didn't have to be this way. I will not use this company again.

Chip is an excellent carpenter and very honest. However, he underestimated the project by $20,000. His sub-contractor costs seemed very high and he didn't seem to want to confront them about their costs until we held his feet to the fire. We would use him again but would require a firm estimate from him (or hire our own subcontractors).
