Very nice, professional and thorough. Only negative feedback is he didn't seem all that motivated. We had a lot of needs and promise of more work, but we never heard back from him. I don't recall the amount paid for service, but it was absolutely reasonable.

He has done a number of things for me and he’s been excellent. He made a couple of referrals for me. He got me a garage door guy and he got me the best plumber guy ever put on earth. Gary has been great. As a matter of fact, I’m getting ready to call him again for a couple of small things again next week. He has worked really well. I don’t know what we would have done if we haven’t found Gary before we found anybody else. He is really good. There was one job that he came that he did for me and it turned out it was more than he could do and he really had a lot of doing and he was there forever. He was there for 3 hours and he only charged me for 1 hour of his work and he brought a buddy of his back who is more experience in that particular thing and finished the job for free. I didn’t ask him to do that. He just said that it’s what we have to do. His pricing is very reasonable. He is fine. If there’s something that he can do, he tells me. If he thinks the job is beyond him, he will get me somebody else. He is very dependable.

Gary does a great job He was my Lawn Care company for all of 2013 and still is though he told me recently he will no longer be offering this service. Services rendered were as follows. Mowed my lawn...mulched all around my house, weeded my beds and clipped shrubs on an as needed basis. I would not hesitate to use his services again. He is prompt, neat, mannerly and shows up when he says. I can't say this for a lot of companies I have used in the past no matter what service they provide. Everything went as we agreed upon. He came and took care of my lawn and I left the check for him the same day he came. All went fine.

He did a really nice job and he was a really nice man. I talked to him and he was not the least bit backward or hard to deal with. He was a very nice person. He was a runner like my kids are. He was just a very nice person.

I called 6 recommended contacts from Angie's list for this task. One called back a week later only after I called three times. Another stated I needed to have a $5K contract of regular lawn maintenance in order to have any work done?! The others never called me back at all. However, Gary (Task Wizard) called the same day (within an hour of my call) AND came the same day to look at the job and give me an estimate. Frankly, I like being able to assist the small business man and was happy to give him the job. We booked the job that day for the end of the week. He estimated the job would take about an hour and quoted me $60. When the day came, he arrived with an assistant prepared for the task in the blistering heat/intense humidity. The work took him longer than anticipated; the bush was a beast! Even though he had another job to go to after mine, he did NOT rush my job to get done. He was meticulous in what I asked him to accomplish and I am quite satisfied with the outcome. He completely cleaned up the trimmings and honored his original quote. Gary is personable and professional. It was a pleasure working with him and I would definitely consider him for additional work at my home!

Task Wizard answered all of my questions about my project, then took a look at it (damaged porch awnings), then called me with a bottom line figure. A few days later the problem was taken care of and he sent us ?before? and ?after? photos of the job. Looks great ? on time, no problems.

Gary fixed several problems. Screen door locks, installed new ceiling fan and new faucet in kitchen sink, screen on side door and other small jobs. Everything worked fine. I am pleased with his work.

He charged me $60 alone just for travel fees when he only lived about four miles away; I found this out after I did a Mapquest search on him . He did a good job, but he was so expensive! When I called him to schedule he was going on a hiking trip so I waited, and then he charged me double for travel expenses.

He was very helpful and easy to deal with. I recommend him.

If you don't feel like reading the whole report, here is the main point: When you need an electrician, call an electrician. When I first talked to Gary, I listed the things I wanted done and asked if he would be able to do the exhaust fan - mentioning that it would need to be wired into an existing light switch. He said he definitely could do everything else on my list, and if the electrical work was beyond his capability, he would give me the name of an electrician who could do it cheaply. On his first visit he replaced the toilet mechanism and noticed that the toilet was rocking and fixed that too. He also installed a robe hook, two towel racks, and a toilet paper holder. I thought it was taking him a bit long to do these things, but apparently one of the towel racks was giving him trouble. It fell off the first time I hung a towel on it a couple of hours after he left. He had installed one of the brackets in a crevice of the shower surround, and it was too recessed for the screw on the towel rack to catch and hold. I fixed it later, and it has held ever since. Since he did a lot of different things - some well, and some not so well - I'll grade him individually on each part below: Replaced toilet mechanism and handle: A Fixed rocking toilet: A+ (He did this without me mentioning that it needed to be done.) Installed robe hook: B (My written list specified to put it 2 inches away, but he put it on top of the spackle from my failed attempt to install the hook. This will make repainting my mistaken effort a bit tricky - a minor annoyance.) Installed small towel rack: B (a tiny bit crooked) Installed toilet paper holder: C (more than a tiny bit crooked) Installed large towel rack: D (fell down immediately and I had to figure out how to fix it and get it to hold.) On his second visit he was about 10 minutes late, but did call to tell me that - hence the B in punctuality. On this visit he replaced the ballasts in some overhead lights, anchored the bathroom sink, attached the bathroom baseboard, and attempted to install the ceiling exhaust fan. Again - these items need individual comments, so see below. Replaced ballasts: A Anchored bathroom sink (and tightened a screw to stop a leak): A Attached bathroom baseboard: C (In several places the top of this isn't snug against the wall.) Attempted to install ceiling exhaust fan: F After Gary had been working on the ceiling fan about two hours, I peeked in to see how it was going. I was surprised to see the main light switch cover off since I had asked him to hook the fan to the light switch controlling the shower light, not the main light switch. I also noticed the hallway lights flickering on and off, so when Gary came down from the attic, I asked him if he was sure he was going to be able to do this. He said that the wiring in the attic wasn't labeled and he almost had it figured out. After about another hour, I checked again. This time, when he turned the power on, the main light in the bathroom didn't work, the shower light didn't work, and the fan didn't work. I told him that I needed to use the bathroom. He said he was going back up to the attic to switch wires anyway. When I saw him through the hole in the bathroom ceiling, I yelled up - "I'm still in here" and he yelled down - "I'm not looking" - hence the grade of C in professionalism. When he came down from the attic, I told him that I had lost confidence that he could do the job and that he should re-hook up the lights the way they were and give me a bill for what he had done. At this point the shower light worked, but the main bathroom lights didn't work. He went back up to the attic and switched the wires again. When he came down and turned on the power, the bathroom light switch controlled the hallway lights, the shower light still worked, and the fan didn't work. At that point, he was going to try to switch them again, but I had had enough and asked him to leave. To his credit, he didn't charge me for the time he spent working on the ceiling fan - hence the A for the grade in price. It was 2 weeks before I could get an electrician to come out and fix everything. So for 2 weeks, I had no main light in the bathroom, no fan in the bathroom, and the hallway lights worked off of the bathroom light switch. The electrician who fixed it had to switch all the wiring in the attic, so I ended up paying another person $140 to fix the wiring issues + $200 to install the fan. Moral of the story - don't hire a handyman when you need an electrician.

Gary was great - he even went to a store on the wed (9th) to get me an airconditioner.

He was wonderful. I plan on having him come back to do other things. He was fast and did a fine job.

Gary and Joe were just a little late starting, but worked for almost 7 hours on one of the hottest days of the year (90's) with their own equipment. They took out 3 pickup loads of debris, cleaned up after themselves, hosed down the drive, and had me do a final walk through to be sure I was satisfied with the work. I would have thought that amount of work would have taken 2 men at least 8 hours if not more. I never saw them slack off and the only break they got was to take a load of debris away. I plan to recontact Task Wizard for several other projects that we discussed: Power washing the siding, staining my deck and scraping and repainting my cement porch. I took before and after pictures but I can't seem to attach them...but the difference is amazing. A friend told me they really noticed how nice the house looked after they drove by a few days later

I was very satisfied with the work that this company did for me. The man that came out was very up beat & worked the entire time that he was here & he was also very friendly & his prices were fair.
