They were excellent and I would recommend them to anybody. One thing was, he worked with me as far as the price was concerned and as far as timing was concerned because I was having other work done in my house and they wanted that to be the last thing done because wallpaper was very delicate and they didn’t want it to be torn once it was put up. I was getting new carpets in and they said that they wanted that to be done before the wallpaper so they worked around my schedule with the carpet being laid. He just really worked with me and he kept in touch with me, I didn’t have to call them but he called me.

It was very good. They were very professional. They came in, they had it done in two days. It was just excellent. No complaints at all.

After reviewing Rockwood Painting on Angie's list I called Dave and left a message to call me and what I needed. He called me back in about 5 minutes!! We set up an appointment and he arrived exactly on time!! He was very professional but also appropriately friendly. He surveyed the damage and we discussed what needed to be done. He explained in detail what he proposed to do in terms of length of time, what to expect disruption wise during job, and actual job details and reasons for using oil based primer do to bleed through of smoking stains. I signed the proposal on the spot! He said he would be able to start after St. Patrick's Day. The week prior to St. Patrick's Day he called to say he would be out on the 18 th. On the 15 th his company called to confirm and set up a time. Dave and his painter arrived at exactly the appointed time!! They were always prompt and considerate. His painter cleaned up each evening prior to leaving. He left my kitchen so that each evening after he left I was able to use it. There was a minimum of disruption to my household! Dave is very detail oriented. His goal is a happy customer and a job well done. He completely succeeded on both counts!! He is the consumate professional!! I have never had such a fantastic experience!!! I will be calling him again for additional projects. I would definitely recommend him to everyone!!

We are in the process probably of going with them. We really kind of clicked with him. We were out for the whole month of January, so we didn't want to rush and do something we left. He quoted around $1500 for the work. We are planning to call back and schedule an appointment with him. He was very thorough. He was very well-versed on everything. He was here for at least half an hour to 45 minutes just to check everything over really thoroughly. He did what we were looking for. The experience was very good and we were very pleased with him. He called us back within an hour or so from the time we left the original message. He was very prompt on that as well. He was right here when he said he would be. He also checked the outside area, to see if there was another source that could be causing the problem. He was very good. It's a family type business. He cares about his reputation for everything. He makes sure people are satisfied with everything.

This company was superb in all areas. From timely arrivals to courteous service to exceptional workmanship, Mr. Rapanski clearly understood and valued the idea of customer service. He offered very helpful suggestions and completed every section of the contracted work. The work is beautiful and I am beyond pleased with the results. One day as he was getting ready to leave the faucet in the bathroom broke and the hot water line began throwing hot water everywhere. Within a minute hot water was spraying all over the bathroom, down the hall and down the stairs. He ran in, helped me grab all the towels and sheets and throw them in the floor to soak up the water. Then he ran down to the laundry room and turned off valves until he got the water shut off. He stayed an extra hour helping me get control of the mess and the water. If he had not been there to help there would have been thousands of dollars of damage done to my home. Talk about going above and beyond!!!!!!!!!

We had numerous issues dealing with the insurance company as well as the contractors that we were trying to hire to complete the repairs. We had approximately 5 estimates for the painting and drywall repairs. The majority of the contractors were questionable and their prices were outrageous. The first and only contractor that came out to our house that was honest, trustworthy, fair in price, and a overall great guy was David (owner of Rockwell Painting). I liked him so much during his visit to provide an estimate that I gave him a large bag of all kinds of fresh vegetables freshly picked in farm country. When he walked out the door my wife said , "I really like him and trust him, please don't ask any other contractors to come out." I of course had the same impression. We were concerned about the price that he was going to give us because of our previous estimates ranging from 4000-8000, but it turned out to be a great price and fair. He had a drywall contractor come out first to redo all the patching and drywall. His name was Charles and he was a h*** of a guy and did great work. A few days later David agreed to come out with his team and complete the rest of the work. The team showed up early in the morning ready to work. They were all great guys and I felt comfortable leaving them in my home while I was gone. When they arrived I decided that it would be in our best interest to paint more then we agreed on. They ended up knocking off a huge job all in 8 hours. The price was great. The work was perfect. They cleaned up everything when they were completed. All of the concerns that I had while they were painting and working I never needed to address because they addressed everything. When my wife arrived home she was pretty emotional because its been a long haul with the insurance company and we had a tough time finding a good contractor to do the work. We feel like we have a new home right now. The colors are beautiful and you could not find a flaw in the job. Thank you to David and your entire crew. You are all great guys. It was a pleasure doing work with all of you. I will pass your name onto anyone that needs your services. To anyone needing this work done use Rockwell Painting. You will not be unhappy. I hope to have the opportunity to do business with them again in the future. Rockwell painting has eased our stress and frustration about our home. There is no place like home and you have made it our home again and for that we are blessed. Thank you so Much!!!

He is more on the lets get more money attitude. His comment was to me was that "job is to small for me to do". He considers small jobs out of his area of expertise. He was polite about it though. I just felt that he didn't want to waste his time.

I was impressed with the owner of Rockwood. I have nothing but good things to say about them! They were punctual, professional, and dependable. They were very meticulous and detail orientated painters; ensuring not a drop of paint was out of place. They also accommodated me by fitting me into their busy schedule. They were pleasant overall to work with! From start to finish, everything was superb! I will call him again if I need any other painting work and will surely recommend them to anyone I know!

It went extremely well. I am very pleased.

The contractor spent all his time making excuses for why he couldn't do the job, even tho he was accepting work, a complete written job description was given to him and he had no time contstraints. The contractor also wanted to do extensive lead abatement for exterior work on a house that hasn't seen a child around for decades. I never did get a bid out of him, despite repeated phone calls. While the contractor appears to be qualified, they are way more trouble than they are worth.
