+ -1 moreWe had a beautiful coffee table that was crushed in a move. One if the legs snapped off. The legs are a crisscross design. Mr Plunckett made it look like it had never been broken. Excellent job!

+ -1 moreHe is very knowledgable about furniture and wood. He has a working knowledge of what things are made out of and really likes antiques. Everything comes out beautiful, things that you can't think can be repaired he can do it.
Description of Work: I had a victorian loveseat, a small chair built in the 1830s, and a Martha Washington sewing chest that were repaired and refinished.

+ -1 moreI first called Mr. Plunkett to repair the dresser. He and his partner came to pick it up, repaired it, and had it back to me in about two weeks. I was so pleased with his work that I asked him to look at the sewing cabinet and table. These repairs were more involved than the dresser repair. When he returned the pieces, the table legs were very sturdy and not at all wobbly. He had taken the base of the table apart and replaced the wooden pegs that had shrunk over the years. The sewing cabinet was reassembled so now I can open it without pieces falling out. Both pieces look good and work very well. I would ask Mr. Plunkett to repair any furniture that needed it.
Description of Work: Mr. Plunkett repaired a drop-top table that had wobbly legs and an old sewing cabinet that had come apart. At another time he repaired the side of our dresser where the two pieces of wood had come apart. Both times he did an excellent job and the pieces looked as if there had never been anything wrong with them. He was very professional and friendly and takes great pride in his work - rightly so.
