They were looking for work I guess because they removed gutters and brought aluminum gutters which were unacceptable to me because it was a historic house. I called and told them that they removed perfectly good gutters from the house in order to make work for themselves. I now have no gutters on my house in the dead of winter when they can't be replaced. They also used the gutters they took down from my house as scrap. Originally they told me there was a piece of damaged gutter they were going to replace and I told them sure as long as it was under $500. They instead removed all the gutters on the front of my house, first floor along the porch roof, second floor and along my garage. They scraped them and gave me no compensation whatsoever. Originally they charged me for fixing a gutter along the side of my house which is now completely unsuable and frozen over because they did it wrong and didn't finish the job. They charged me for that and for a lot of expensive gutter hangers which wouldn't even be used with aluminum gutters had I allowed them to put it up. They absolutely cheated me. It's very annoyoing to me that there are still people that think they can get away with that behavior. They've done perfectly adequate gutter cleaning at an apartment for us before and so I thought they could come and clean our gutters here and make all the necessary adjustments but suddenly it became a huge and expensive job. They led me in the wrong direction. Since I thought they were only cleaning the gutters and making a few adjustments I didn't think a conract was necessary for that kind of maintenance work, but obviously they had a very large replacement job in mind. Originally they said they would replace the gutters at the top where a tree had fallen on it and he was only going to charge me for just the new gutter as long as I allowed them to put their sign in my yard. I told him it was fine as long as it was done before the bad weather hit. His sweat pants are still sitting on an outdoor table in my back yard, it's draped over a chair and the expensive gutter hangers I bought are scattered all over my yard. There were ladders still left in my yard until a week and a half ago. When I told him I was not going to pay for replacing gutters that shouldn't have been torn down and scraped in the first place he told me I was ruining Christmas for his children. I think he thought he would just come here and do unnecessary work and get paid for it. I can't believe I was treated this way, I probably would get a lawyer if I didn't think that would cost me more than replacing the gutters.

Response from Master Spouting
Hello,I would like to respound by saying that there is not one bit of truth to these comments by Member.Prior to looking at his house I worked for his mother at a large apartment complex. That he and his mother managed together.I never had any complaints from him or his mother for over two years. On november 11, 2010 I Was paid in full for the years cleaning.Directly after being paid I explained to him that two building were in need of new spouting. They were already aware of the pending problems.Upon recieving payment for two completed buildings Member asked me to come to his house and give him my professional opinion on the spouting. On november 29 I stoped by his house to let him know the problems.I explained that four sections needed replaced due primarily because his old galvanized steal gutters were rusting through. We then walked around the house together while I explained the problems.I said that I would install five inch .027 seamless aluminum spouting. The same spouting he received two weeks prior on the apartments. He said very good!Between the end of november and the first week of december I started working on the house.Repairing a section of spouting on the back of house and replaceing four bad sections. On december 8 he came outside and said he did not want alumunim K style guttering he wanted galvanizied steel installed.I said we just went over it all a week ago you said that the five inch K style was fine. I told him I would get the galvanized but it was more costly and he said he understood. After already putting out over two hundred dollars on material I returned to the local distributer.I then bought all the remaining half round galvanized spouting in stock. At a cost to me of an additional $100.43.I also put in an order for the remaining material that was not in stock.Between the eighth of december and the twealth I was at his house working. He witness the original material leaveing and the new galvanized at the house never saying a word about it.Then on december thirtinth he asked me to come in the house to talk.He then explained he wanted the galvanized installed for the same price as the original price of the aluminum spouting. My first quote was $550 I explained once again that the material for galvanized was just under that.He said well if I can't have it for $ 550 I don't want any.By this time I had already lost out on over $300 in material And could not possibly lose any more time or money.I tried every thing i could to please him and nothing worked. Not only was this the first complaint by him in three years but the first in all my 15yrs of installing ever.It was close to christmas and I merely stated that the $300 dollars hurt during the holiday season and that the way he went about it all was deceiving and wrong. He allowed me to work at his house watching every step before he said he wanted it all with no labor cost included. My workmanship is "AAA" And I have never needed for work.I was there souly at his request.Anyone that knows this field in the area knows my work is flawless. And my customer service is top notch. This is a case of Member trying to get something for nothing. Also the gavanized spouting that came off the house was under thirty dollars not even close to all my money I put out.I have all paper work to prove this all. I am the victim here ! Please do not let his lies deter you from calling. Sincerely,Robert Master spouting
