On time and on budget

We hired Jay back in November to build a chicken run on a tight timeline. While he completed the job on time there were multiple issues: the roof was not secure (huge gap where animals could potentially get in) the door latch didn?t work properly, sharp wire stuck out, and he left cut wood pieces behind. He also used regular staple gun staples instead of galvanized fence staples. When I reached out about the door not closing or latching, he initially responded that he had shut down his business due to a family emergency. We were understanding and told him to take care of his family. However, I recently discovered that he was taking jobs just days after our conversation when I came back on to Angie?s list to find a handyman for another project. He was one of the suggested contractors and the reviews reflected this timeline. I feel misled and disappointed in both quality of work and honesty. I would not recommend this contractor.

I recently hired Jay for some small plumbing repairs. I needed a garbage disposal installed and a leaking toilet repaired. I had a concern with the garbage disposal after he left and he returned to my home within the hour to look at my concern and made changes for my peace of mind.
