horrible in general. Granted yes I did tell them that the job did not need to be done immediately and by the end of the summer, but it literally took them till the end of summer...I called them the beginning of summer and it took 3 months for them to finally take care of it. They kind of kept in touch with me about timing but not very well. Felt like they kept making excuses for putting off the job. Once they finally got here they did remove a tree and for us and take some of the dirt. Afterward we had a big pile of dirt in our yard and broken clay in the dirt. I feel like they could have done a lot better than they did.

After the Angie list contact he set an appointment that he was late (he said it was up late working on a job until 2am?) to but with the coupon I used I thought he did a good job. Called him to again to finish something I started and AGAIN HE SET THE APPOINTMENT that he employee's were LATE too and when I went back to check on their progress they had the sink/garbage disposal/dishwasher and toilet issue fixed in an hour but it took them 2 HR to fix my outside faucet. And that was with 2 guys there. I asked that the invoice be left at the location so I could pay it but that wasn't done and then owner called me to go over the invoice and I was told over the phone it would be one price but when I got the invoice it was $100 dollar's more. After I spoke to him later he states that he read the invoice off and I miss understood. I thought the charge for the parts was a little excessive that I had everything there except the new water supply hose for toilet and the new hose bibb for the outside hose connect.

They came out and I had 2 bathrooms where the plumbing fixtures needed to be replaced. The 2 hours did not cover the full job, so it took them a total of almost 4 hours, which was understandable. I bought the fixtures and the plumber said it would not work. I had to stick with the correct brand and I took mine back and used the fixtures that he purchased. I did have one issue and they came right back to fix it up. The new plumbing fixtures were not anchored well enough and it was lose, but then he put some silicone around it and it has been working great. I would advise Angie's List members to get plumbers into their home first, so they can advice you on what to purchase; since some plumbing fixtures are not interchangeable.

They did this work after we came back from vacation; it was a 2 day job. They did a wonderful job. They came quickly to analysis the problem. They hauled everything out for us too, so that we didn't have to.

We were very pleased with the service we received. The two guys who were here (their names are skipping my mind at the moment) were friendly, professional, and educational. They would make sure we were OK with them doing something before doing it, which made us feel better. We had only contracted them to fix the water spigot, but decided to go ahead and keep them on a little while longer to put in our vanity and sink for us because we were leery of doing it ourselves. We would hire them again if we needed a plumber.

He was neat, clean, efficient and very knowledgeable. I would use again.

So far, so good. I haven't had any problems with them.

It's a good work. They were very friendly, personable and they're actually coming out to do our other bathroom here in the next month. I would use them again in the future.

The guy was prompt and very friendly and helpful. I got a deal off of Angie's list for 2 hours of service and worried that it would really just be a sales call to try to upsell me on services. Turns out he just addressed what I needed done, didn't seem to be concerned at all about the two hour time frame (no hurry) and the only additional cost was the spigot head (which was to be expected). Very pleased overall and I will be calling them next time I need plumbing work.

They needed to reschedule as they missed the first appointment. It turned out OK. I would consider using them again.

The job went extremely well. The crew was professional, courteous and fast. They worked with us on scheduling so we could get the tub in before our girls returned for Christmas break.

It went well. He wasn't able to finish as he didn't have all the parts (my fault).

He came to fix a leaking facet, and looked at my drains but said he really did not work on drains, and I wanted my outside spickets replaced but it was raining, so he gave me a invoice showing that he still owed me part of the coupon and told me he would be back in 2-3 weeks to do the outside work. That was on March 29th, and I have not heard anything from him since. I cannot rate him because my service is incomplete.

Greg and Randy are terrific; two of the best contractors I've ever worked with. They are honest craftsman who take pride in their work, they're not happy until you are. Greg was very accurate with quotes and timelines for each stage of the job. I highly recommend.

They did a wonderful job. I have had them do work for me before and they make sure to do the job right. They asked me if I wanted them to put the flooring underneath the vanity or just go around. I told them to go around because it's a small space and I wasn't concerned with whether there would be flooring beneath or not. They suggested they remove the vanity and put the flooring underneath because it would be quicker (less to cut) and it would look better overall. Also, the flooring I had originally picked out (vinyl tiles) was not the best choice for my subfloor and situation and suggested I would be be better with solid sheet vinyl. I went and bought different (while they were removing/repairing the toilet) and it worked out better than what I originally bought and less expensive! They were right and I now have a half bath that I can finally use and it looks great! Very professional. Would definitely hire again.

Greg worked with me to complete the work that was convenient to both of us. He was punctual and professional. Work was completed in a timely manner. Will definitely use this company again!

We purchased two turnoff valves from the plumbing supply store to be sure there wouldn't be any delay in completing the work we had to be done. We expected that the dripping faucets would be repairable and that proper replacement parts would be available on the service vehicle. When contacted for the plumber to come to our home, we thought there would be one plumber for two hours. What actually happened is that two plumbers showed up for one hour each concurrently. This became a factor in that the two dripping faucets had to be replaced instead of fixed. [Due to our ignorance of reputable manufacturers selling two lines of product (less expensive non-reparable, more expensive-reparable) through "big box stores", we had purchased the less expensive faucets which now had to be replaced.] As soon as I was told this, I made the trip as quickly as possible in order to choose the price/style of faucet to purchase, and to save time since the time remaining was limited. I assumed that the travel time needed to pick up parts would be counted as work time on the part of the plumbers. The fact that we essentially had only one hour for the work to be completed caused concern. The plumbers were courteous and explained the situation well once they had a chance to assess our situation. They prepared the two worksites while I went for the new faucets and completed the work in time.

Great job; would use McLean Plumbing in the future.

I was going to install a toilet in our basement (replacing an extremely old one that I had already taken out) on Saturday in preparation for relatives coming to visit Sunday evening. I was having issues getting the old cast iron flange cleaned out enough to install the new toilet which I had already purchased. I called McLean Plumbing around 11:00am and spoke to Greg and explained the situation. I sent him my info and pictures and he was able to respond and come over shortly after 2:00pm on extremely short notice, which was definitely appreciated. Greg was very professional and was able to install the toilet in just under an hour. He made sure the toilet was level and installed wooden shims to eliminate the possibility of slight rocking. He even diagnosed an issue with water pressure coming from the hookup which was good to know. The price was very good for the work performed and I appreciate most of all his quick response that very same day to our desire to get the toilet installed in such a short time frame. We will definitely use McLean Plumbing again and will recommend to our friends and family in the area. Thanks again!

Called on a Friday evening about my water heater that began to leak. Arrived around 10:30 Saturday morning and was done by noon. Very professional and courteous, no surprises. Charged what was quoted. He was the first plumber I contacted that returned my call and based upon the reviews on Angie's List I did not hesitate to give him my business. I would definitely use him again in the future for any other plumbing needs.

The employees were on time and explained an issue when they found out it would take a lot more time and money to remedy my issue. The only thing I think they need to do is wear removable booties so they wont track gunk on my carpet! Will use again though

Once the old faucet was removed he found that the hole in the Corian countertop was too small for the faucet I had provided. He was able to drill the hole bigger without any issues. Greg does quality work and gets it done efficiently. Will use him again in the future

It was fine. The guys were great. They showed up on time. They did the work efficiently, effectively. There was nothing negative about the service. I would use them again in the future.

Guardian Angel Plumber!!! We first contacted Greg just before the Super Bowl started. I expected to get a voice mail rather than a person. He was just great! He came out the next day and asked that we troubleshoot through Bosch the next business day. He left without charging us a dime. Through our own error we had the wrong part overnighted OUCH!!! Greg tried to make it work. He was doing his best to keep all the charges down which we really appreciate. Someone else could have taken us to the cleaners. And Kudos to Angie's List. We chose McLean Plumbing after reading his reviews. Something I would really like to point out is that, we chose him because of the manner in which he dealt with a very negative review. The complaint seemed very unreasonable to me. Mr McLean was polite, apologized and was quite the gentleman in his response. We find it really helpful to read as many reviews as possible to make informed decisions. I frequently learn more from the negative ones... Now after getting to know Greg a bit. He's just a great guy!
