+ -1 moreThere was a sale offer good during the open house which required us to sign the contract that day and take delivery of the material by 3/31. We rented a storage unit to hold the contents of the old barn, and made quick arrangements to have the old barn torn down. March 31st came and went without a build date. The materials were finally delivered on June 4th, and the barn was completed on June 8th. There were several delays along the way - one of their architects was out sick, the permits were delayed, etc. We were disappointed with the fact that we had to keep asking for updates. We ended up paying for several extra months of storage, and dealing with the inconvenience of having much of our outdoor equipment buried in the storage unit. The construction crew was great and went above and beyond to make the new building fit on the existing pad. They were punctual, hard-working, and very professional. In the end, we did get a beautiful new building that we're very happy with.
Description of Work: We visited Morton's Wilmington, Ohio facility during their annual 'Open House' event in early March 2007. We contracted with them to replace an existing 30x50 pole barn with a new 30x40 barn. Morton handled all of the planning, permits, and construction.
