Description of Work: This is the second time they put insulation in our house. We were only able to afford half the house the first time. They worked with us so we could get our house insulated properly over a two year period. We had the best salesman and the company did a great job.

Description of Work: they came to insulate the crawl spaces on either side of the bedroom over the garage. When they came to insulate they said the crawl spaces were already insulated but they could pack them more fully. We agreed to that. This summer we had reason to open the door to one of the spaces to find there was no insulation whatsoever in it. I called USA and they came out immediately to finish the job. When I was asked to look at the completed job, I saw a small section of the rafters & flooring straight ahead of me that needed more insulation & they complied & filled it. Because the manager was so apologetic and professional, and it truly was not his fault, I would use USA again but would watch them & check their work. The original men who first came to do the job are no longer with the company. We will never know what originally happened.

Description of Work: They did well for the most part. We have some soffits going around our house that were somewhat difficult to get to. Not sure if they were able to stuff all of them. The sales rep started to get a little testy after we started thinking about updating our electrical lines before getting the insulation. Felt a little pressured, but overall, the insulation works great. Too great in the summer when the second floor of our Colonial is now hot instead of it going up into the attic. But at least it lets us know that what they did worked.

Description of Work: They used a foam type wall insulation by drilling holes between the studs and pressure filling the cavity. Replaced the siding beautifully and now I am enjoying every room in the house with consistant temperatures. I am already saving money because the furnace doesn't turn on half as much. Go USA!

HE SEEMED TO BE, BUT IN THE END I FOUND OUT THAT HE FAILED TO CHECK & SEE IF THE HOUSE WAS ALREADY INSULATED (IT WAS ON THE FIRST FLOOR), HE "THREW IN" INSULATION FROM THE FOUNDATION BELOW THE FROST LINE (THE SITE SUPERVISOR SAID THIS COULDN'T BE DONE ON MY HOUSE- BRICK TO CLAY TILE- SOMETHING THE SALESMAN SHOULD HAVE KNOWN), & HE FAILED TO MENTION THAT WHEN THE FOAM INSULATION IS INSTALLED THERE'S A CHANCE THE POWERLINES IN YOUR WALL CAN GET DRILLED THROUGH (THEY DID, KNOCKING POWER OUT IN 4 BEDROOMS, A BATHROOM, & AN ATTIC). USA WAS GOOD ABOUT IT, THOUGH (WITH SOME ENCOURAGEMENT), & SENT OUT AN ELECTRICIAN (9 DAYS, BUT THANKSGIVING WAS IN THERE).

IT WAS A PLEASURE WORKING WITH SUCH A PROFESSIONAL COMPANY. IF WE NEED ANY INSULATION WORK IN THE FUTURE, I WILL BE CALLING THEM.
Description of Work: INSTALLED INSULATION IN UNIT AT THE STONEBROOKE CONDOMINIUMS. I WAS VERY HAPPY WITH THE SERVICE. HE OFFERED SPECIAL ADVERTISED PRICING THAT I WAS NOT AWARE OF AND I SIGNED THE CONTRACT THAT EVENING. I HAD THIS PRODUCT INSTALLED IN MY LAST HOUSE AND I WOULD NOT INSULATE WITH ANYTHING ELSE. IT CUT MY GAS BILLS IN HALF, HAS NO ODOR AND IS SAFE, UNLIKE UREA-BASED FOAM. I WILL POST AGAIN AFTER THE WORK IS COMPLETE, BUT RAY WAS SO PLEASANT AND EASY TO DEAL WITH I COULDN'T WAIT. TO THOSE WHO EXPECT TO BE PRESSURED BY THIS COMPANY (FROM WHAT I'VE READ POSTED HERE, I DID TOO), ASK FOR RAY SCHNEIDER, YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

+ -1 moreTHESE GUYS WERE WONDERFUL. THEY ARRIVED ON TIME AND WORKED VERY THOROUGHLY. THEY WERE EXTREMELY CAUTIOUS OF OUR GARDEN, AND WHEN THEY LEFT, YOU COULD NOT TELL THEY HAD BEEN THERE. OUR HOUSE IS MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE AND COZY, AND IT REALLY DID LOWER OUR BILL EVEN WHEN GAS PRICES WENT UP LAST WINTER. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THAT OUR HOUSE IS ONLY 1400 SQUARE FEET.
Description of Work: THEY REMOVED SHINGLES FROM THE EXTERIORS OF OUR HOUSE IN ORDER TO BLOW IN THE INSULATION, AND THEN REPLACED THEM SO WELL YOU COULD HARDLY TELL WHICH ONES HAD BEEN REMOVED. THEY BLEW IN FOAM INSULATION THROUGHOUT OUR ENTIRE HOUSE AND HUNG PINK INSULATION IN OUR ATTIC AND BASEMENT.

AT THIS TIME I AM SATISFIED WITH THE WORK. I AM NOT SURE IF I RECEIVED THE BEST PRICE. AS A SIDE COMMENT I HAVE HEARD FOR MANY YEARS THAT BLOWN IN INSULATION SETTLES. MY BACK BEDROOM WAS INSULATED WITH BLOWN IN INSULATION BEFORE I MOVED HERE 30+YRS AGO. THE CREW CHECKED TO SEE IF IT HAD SETTLED. IT HAD NOT SETTLED.
Description of Work: I HAD MY 80 YEAR OLD HOUSE INSULATED WITH FOAM IN THE SIDE WALLS MINUS THE BACK CORNER BEDROOM WALLS AND ONE WALL IN THE KITCHEN.THE DORMER SIDE WALLS WERE ALSO DONE.THE CONTRACT STATED THAT THEY WERE TO FILL BETWEEN THE BRICK AND TILE ON THE FOUNDATION. THE INSTALL CREW SUGGESTED AGAINST IT SAYING THAT THERE IS LITTLE OR NO GAP BETWEEN BRICK AND THE TILE. IN THE LARGE SPACE AROUND THE OLD GAS FIREPLACE CHIMNEY BLOWN IN FIBER WOOL WAS USED INSTEAD OF FOAM.
