The Universal Painting team is topnotch, hands down the best painters we have ever hired. We had questions and were a bit indecisive when we were trying to pick our colors. Jay (owner) walked us thru several different color schemes & combinations and really helped us get to our final decision. We could not have been happier with his expertise and guidance, it really took a lot of stress out of the process. The Universal Painting crew really paid attention to all the little details when prepping the walls and baseboards. They repaired all the holes, gashes, knicks and screw pops on the walls which made all the difference. The final results are amazing! My walls literally look brand new! I will be using Universal Painting on all my furure painting needs. Its a no-brainer!

I couldn't ask for a better experience. They went beyond what I expected. They repaired all the wall imperfections including my wall of windows. The finished result was absolutely beautiful. They are so professional and fun. They showed up everyday at 8:30 and completed the job when they said they would. In fact they left my house cleaner when they left than when they started. I would highly recommend them.

Jay was a genuine pleasure to work with. He remained in touch with me throughout the day with questions he had and took care of a couple of things that needed attention right away. I would hire his team again without question. The rooms in our home are fresh and new once again. Truly, exquisite work.

Wonderful window cleaning job by Jay and Jonah. The building was an older, 1930's building with high windows that needed to be reached by a ladder. The screens and outside windows were cleaned and debris was removed in the tracks and sills. The workmanship was meticulous. No need to point out something they missed because they saw everything themselves. Extremely professional and easy to work with.

I was very pleased the way Jay and his crew from Universal Painting and Window Cleaning Company cleaned my windows inside out and cleaned my screens. They also cleaned my chandelier ( it sparkles) beautifully now. They were very professional and through. I will definitely hire them again and I highly recommend them.. Anoop.

The Job: Everything is gorgeous! They worked on our porch that is enclosed with several sliding doors. The removed and cleaned the screens, cleaned the tracks, and of course the glass. They got on the roof and cleaned the skylights. Used a leaf blower to clear off the helicopters, too. One of my screens has an issue and they made sure to point it out to me. People: the owner and his crew were very nice! The owner called me right after I messaged him through Angie’s List. I was scheduled for a week out. They wore masks while they talked to me. I plan to hire them next year when I need the job done again.

We have used Jay and Universal several times over the past five years and they have painted the entire interior of our house. We could not be happier with their work, attention to detail and friendly, professional crew. We are redecorating my daughters room for her upcoming birthday and Jay fit us in during a busy period to make sure she got her birthday present on time. He even let our kids do a small section of the room so they felt included, which was so appreciated. We recommend Universal to everyone and will never consider using a different painting company - they are the best.

I could not be happier! Jay and his crew, Daniel and Jonah, did a wonderful job. Jay first tried to remove the paper in the foyer, but it was nearly impossible, as the walls had not been properly prepped when the home was built. I was crushed until Jay assured me this happens often, and he would be able to seal the paper, mud, sand, seal again and apply two coats of paint. Jay worked on the foyer. He also made sure that popping nails and seams would not show, as he told me when he came out for the estimate. When complete, the foyer looked better than it had with the wallpaper! I cannot see drywall seams or any nail heads. I’m amazed! The soffits in the kitchen presented a challenge because I had used painters tape when I painted a basket weave years ago, and there was some paint buildup in spots along the tape lines. This meant the soffits could not just be sanded; mud and sanding had to be done before painting. The hallway leading downstairs and the sponge painted bedroom also required extra care. Jay and his crew were here on time every morning and immediately put tarps down everywhere. They vacuumed and washed floors, steps, carpeting, etc, before they left each day, leaving my home cleaner than how they found it! Throughout the process, it was obvious how important proper prep is before painting. The prep was done meticulously, and the actual painting as well. I was very impressed with Jay when he came out to give me an estimate, and even more impressed with him and his crew after spending several days with them. My husband and I didn’t think twice about leaving the house most days. I wish I had done this years ago! I will be having Jay and his crew wash the windows next spring.

We chose to hire Jay at Universal Painting and Window Cleaning for our drywall needs, and we couldn’t be more pleased with his professionalism and with the results. After reaching out to Jay, he came to our house, examined our concerns, explained the needed process and provided a reasonable estimate. He was great at communications with us regarding his schedule and his arrival times. Several days later, Jay came with an assistant and completed the job. We are very pleased with the outcome and the bill was in-line with the estimate. Throughout the process, Jay was personable and professional. Before he left, he thoroughly cleaned up the workspaces. Hired Universal to skim coat walls that were in bad shape after removing wallpaper. Jay did a great job and was able to fit me into his busy schedule. Experienced, professional and would definitely use them again.

Absolutely terrific. I cannot say enough good things. They are professional and meticulous to detail. This was a difficult job, with walls that needed repair and ceilings that are vaulted to 18 feet. Jay, the owner, assisted us with choosing colors, he was very patient through my indecision and spot on with his recommendation. They arrived promptly and cleaned up before leaving every day(they were here 2 weeks.) They were courteous, friendly and clean and neat. My home looks fabulous, and I have already booked with Universal for painting needs in other rooms. I will not use anyone else and highly recommend Universal painting for all your painting needs.

For the last 4-5 years Jay and his crew at Universal has performed Window washing for me twice a year on my home, a second home and my place of business. They do an excellent job and I have no worries about them being inside my homes and business. They are trust worthy, clean up after themselves, thoughtful and... do great work. Hire them now before the word gets out.

Painting exterior: Terrific prep and workmanship. On time, excellent communications, courteous. Clearly shows interest in the work, wants customer satisfaction. Painting interior: basement wall remove previous coating, repaint..Again excellent prep and workmanship. Checks with owner during work to verify satisfaction. Ceiling: Above and beyond expectations by adding screws to secure existing plaster before crack and gap repair. Excellent clean up. Does job as tho his name is on it. Window washing outside: Of course they are clean! Good care with shrubbery. Triple trac windows a bit of a nuisance but handled with care.

Excellent! I had a new hardwood floor and baseboards and door trim installed and was fearful the painters would get paint on new flooring. Not Universal Painting; they were very care and did and outstanding job. They were professional and on time and were very flexible in working around the woodworking team.

Large area that needed to be patched was done do well you can’t tell where the patching was done. Workers are professional and courteous. They arrived on time and cleaned up everything before leaving. The room looks awesome. Would definitely recommend and hire again.

The team from Universal Window Cleaning was outstanding! I own a home built in 1890 that was vacant for 15 years before I acquired it. You could hardly see out of the windows. These guys were extremely professional. They took great care of things inside as well as outside of my home. Beautiful job! The best part is the sun can now shine inside my home. Jay and his team are very professional, courteous and clean. For a professional look, they fill all cracks with caulk and fill all holes and imperfections in the walls before painting. First project they removed wall paper, smoothed walls and painted my kitchen and bathroom. Also had Jay removed two unused electrical outlet/boxes and when finished the spaces are completely smooth. Second project they sanded, primed and painted the woodwork and painted the ceiling and walls in my living area. The finished project is perfect. Would highly recommend them!

Outstanding results! - Quality: terrific- I had walls with holes, dings, and some sad drywall nail bulging issues, along with a hole where intercom systems were. They took extra time to fix every single spot perfectly. I went over every inch and you can't even tell anything was there. FLAWLESS. Paint on the walls and along ceiling were straight and even. Even my fiance, who tends to be a perfectionist, commented on what a great job was done and was impressed. Jay takes great pride in his work and it shows! - Professionalism: Jay communicated well through the whole process, let me know each day on status and what time they'd be there, and was very personable and nice. Crew was polite and worked hard, and were pleasant to have around. - Price: the quote from Universal was slightly lower than another one I got AND yet included paint whereas the other one didn't. Very reasonable for the job. If you're looking for a painter, do your self a favor and get a quote from Universal Painting. I've hired painters in the past, and they are, hands down, the best.

Wonderful! Did over and above what was expected. If problems were found they were discussed with options to fix situation. The crew was pleasant and worked well together. Politeness and respect to each other and myself was evident. Language was not offensive and radio, music or talk, was appropriate. Quality of work was excellent! Could not of asked for a better experience! After clearing out another bedroom discovered it need patching and painting as well. Jay returned my call promptly and we arranged to have painting commence within a short period of time. I would and have recommended them to family and friends. Thank you.
