Pat was just phenomenal. He was punctual, professional and a great conversationalist. His pricing is beyond reasonable and I would not hesitate to hire him again, and would have no qualms recommending him to anyone. Absolutely one hundred percent recommended. I’m keeping your number, sir. Thank you for an excellent service and such a quick turnaround.

Electric switch was put in but couldn't put plate over it because wires wouldn't go into space far enough. I did have to replace the already broken plate after he left so he didn't realize that was the case. He definitely saved me by coming the day before the surgery. The outlet was crucial for my after surgery recovery care.
Description of Work: I needed a new outlet put in place of one that was there.

Pat Thomas had been swamped with work so it took him a few weeks to come out, but he made an effort to come as soon as he could and took care of it. We were very pleased with his work and felt his price was reasonable. In addition, he also gave us a few pointers on how to care for some of our outside wires during the winter months! We will definitely use him again.
Description of Work: We needed to have the point of attachment (outside wires attached to the house from the pole) secured to the house because it was loose.

We contacted Pat last fall for a quote to install some lights over a bar. He came out gave us a quote and made some suggestions on what our choices might be. We finally had him come out recently and install some pendant lights we had purchased for the location. He came out promptly to quote us again and then scheduled the job within a week. The lights are up and we are very happy with the experience with this provider and would not hesitate to call Pat again.

The entire building was wired--and 3 lights installed, 1 ceiling fan, 5 outlets. We were extremely pleased with service. We will use Thomas Elec. again. Always called before coming and came on time (each of 3 visits). He made suggestions that we had not thought of; we also got an estimate on our electrical box in our home. Great work!

Pat responded to my voicemail within an hour (other companies took multiple days). He was able to work around my schedule (other companies wanted to charge me 'after-hour' fees). He just decided to charge me by the hour. He was very prompt and very knowledgable. He spent about 45 mins explaining a bunch of stuff about my new home, as I wanted his expertise for future projects. It appeared as though he could be handyman for just about any project.

I called the business number and spoke directly with the owner. He was very cordial and came over that day to give me an estimate. He returned promptly as promised. Completed the job in less time they he originally thought would be needed. He charged me less than the estimate and did a great job. And all of this on the day before a holiday!

Excellent! Tom even suggested another electrical supplier where I got a good contractor discount on higher quality materials when I mentioned his name.
Description of Work: I wanted some pole lamps installed outside. Tom came promptly, reviewed my current electrical setup and made some good suggestions. He fits the work in between other bigger jobs he has which was fine with me.

Description of Work: Although busy, Pat answered my phone call and came out to my house that same day! I needed immediate help with a pool pump and he was able to service the need and even gave me some pool tips based on his experience. In addition, he noticed my generator and opened it up and taught me some things about it that I wouldn't have otherwise known. I know Pat does a lot of industrial work and also works on a lot of upscale homes, so the fact that he treated me so courteously, fairly, and professionally proved that he cares about ALL of his customers. I will definitely be calling him again soon for more electrical work, and I will recommend him to all of my family and friends.

Description of Work: We have a peaked high ceiling in our kitchen, and wanted pendant lights hung. It was complicated because we didn't want a bunch of holes punched in the walls and ceiling to bring the wire over to where the pendants were to be hung. Pat Thomas walked me through all my options, explained the different lighting types, and he got on the phone with the electrical supply company and helped me with them. He came up with a very clever way to run the wires that didn't require holes in my walls or ceiling (other than where the lights were hung, of course). He's very good at his profession - not just as a highly skilled technician, which he is, but he is able to think "out-of-the-box" when a different solution is required. He did extra work that wasn't in the quoted price and did not charge my for it. By all means, call him, hire him (he's in demand so you may have to wait, but in my opinion he's worth it).

I got Pat's number from a referral. I had left him a message in the evening, and received a call early the next day. I needed 30amp breaker switch and a 240V outlet installed for my electric dryer in our new home's laundry room (in the basement), as the previous owner used a gas dryer instead. The breaker box was in the finished portion of our basement in the Rec room. Pat was able to stop in real quick between appointments and take a look at it so that he could give me a good estimate. After showing him the breaker box and where the dryer was, we managed to locate an old, 3-prong outlet for a dryer -- hidden behind/within a peg board above the washer and dryer. This saved me some money in parts and labor, as he wouldn't have to fish wire through the ceiling. My dryer had a 4-prong cord. Unfortunately, the breaker box only had 1 switch for the previous owner's dryer, but at least the box had ample space for him to install a 30amp switch and still keep the old one in place, in case I ever do get a gas dryer in the future. He thought he could save us a few more dollars by checking to see if he had a spare 3-prong dryer cord in his vehicle, but unfortunately he didn't. He asked if I had to be anywhere, as he could grab one real quick at a local hardware store and complete the job in a matter of minutes. He returned and replaced the 4-prong cord on our dryer with a 3-prong, verified that everything was working, and reinstalled the exhaust vent on the back of the dryer and leveled the dryer for us after it was pushed back into the proper spot. Not only that, but afterward I had asked if he did more than just electrical, to which he said he does do some handyman type of work as well. I told him I'd definitely be giving him a call again in the future, as we discover more things about our new home and what all needs repaired or redone. He even said that if it's something he can't do, he'd be more than happy to refer me to others who can do the work and do it well; he's a general contractor and so he has those types of connections to fall back on. In the end, he didn't charge me a ton, even though I still had no estimate in hand and should've been worried; I wasn't. He completed the job in a little less than an hour, including the time it took him to go to a store and buy parts. The total cost was $71.00. Excellent service at a very affordable price for a new homeowner like myself!
Description of Work: A 30amp breaker switch and a 240V 3-prong cord was installed on my electric dryer. Initially, I had expected to install a 240V outlet as well, because the previous homeowner had a gas dryer and we didn't see an outlet for our electric dryer. His business card states that he is licensed, bonded, insured, and that he does commercial, industrial, and residential work.

I've used Pat before because he is thorough and always takes the time to explain the whys and the fixes. He took the time to learn the specifics of the driveway heaters, even calling the company that makes the units. He also did a quick check on the rest of the box to make sure nothing else was going to a problem. The driveway heaters are unusual and I'm grateful he took the time to familiarize himself.
