Work was performed while I was not home. Dirt still remained on many areas after work was completed. It probably would have to been cleaned first which was not mentioned prior to work done. My house looks spotty and only partially cleaned.

Excellent! I highly recommend Richard. He returned my call promptly, and we made an appointment to meet the next day. He completed the proposal on the spot after examining the site. He and his son, Jason, were at the house within two days to pressure wash the front steps in order to prepare them for tuck pointing. They also pressure washed the walkway. They returned in another couple of days to finish up. The work was completed quickly and professionally.

I contacted Richard Nowicki about performing masonry work on my 75 year old brick home. Much to my delight, he personally answered the phone after my first call and we set up an appointment in which he arrived promptly with his son Jason. They did an inspection of the entire house, recommended repairs and why they should be done (all reasonable), and wrote up a detailed quote. Their estimate was fair, so I contracted with them to do the work; tuck pointing, power washing the front and side steps, and resealing at the house/driveway intersection. Richard and Jason indicated that I should get the driveway pavers on the side of the house leveled prior to resealing as they were tilting towards the house and causing leakage into the basement. Richard was nice enough to call me later in the day to recommend a company to do the leveling. I did get the work done and was do glad he mentioned it. Prior, I didn?t know that such a service could be done. Richard and Jason did excellent work. The tuck pointing matches really well with the rest of the house. Part of the tuck point work necessitated digging up a few plants which they replanted precisely. The steps look brand new after power washing. The resealing looks sound and hopefully my leakage problem is resolved. As I walked around the house I noticed that they did a few additional small repairs that were not in the contract which I so much appreciated. The clean up after job completion was great. I would definitely recommend (and already have) Richard and Jason.

Richard and his son were excellent to work with. From the start, they were very responsive, accommodating, and professional. We were very impressed with their work and the timeliness of it. After the work was done, they had extra supplies leftover and even went the extra mile to fix a part of our front stairs for no additional charge. They also gave us recommendations and tips for how to prevent issues in the future. I would highly recommend Richard!

This was one of the smoothest experiences we've had hiring a professional and getting the work completed. Richard answers the phone, responds to messages, and came when he said he would. He cleaned up each day and at the end of the job. I have recommended him to neighbors and would hire again.

Richard and his son Jason were excellent. They made every effort to save me money by re-using my sandstone stairs to my front door. They went out of their way to see the new bricks used matched the old brick. After taking apart the old brick riser - they added a concrete block pillar under the large top slab for support; they turned and reset the sandstone step to a good clean edge with the proper slope so water would not pool and they cleaned the green slime off the sandstone so it all looks brand new! They dug out the crumbling mortar in my chimney; tuckpointed everything and added a concrete cap so that water would drain off the top of the chimney in the future rather than running behind the brick. They also found that the mortared joints between a sandstone cap on a decorative brick wall were cracking, and the repaired that as well. They were prompt in responding to my initial call for an estimate. They performed all the work exactly as stated and for the price quoted. They cleaned up after they left and you would never know they were here except for the caution tape protecting my new front steps.

I needed to have my front steps completely redone. The mortar had deteriorated causing the bricks to fall apart and collapse. Mr. Nowicki provided me with an estimate immediately. Once he started the tear down, it was determined that we needed to have some additional structural work done. All of the work was completed in such a timely manner. There was never anything that did not get cleaned up and he was able to match the bricks to my house perfectly. Now, I have a beautiful set of front steps that I can be very proud of. I would definitely use Mr. Nowicki again and I would recommend him to anyone.

They responded to my email immediately and followed with a phone call and then came to look at the job and give us a price. They started as soon as they were available and did a wonderful job. If the weather was bad they always called to let us know they wouldn't be coming that day. They always let us know they were on there way. These men were punctual and very polite. They cleaned up after themselves and we would definitely use their services again. They were very detail oriented and have pride in their workmanship.
Description of Work: Replaced the porch slab and removed the railing. They also replaced 2 steps and repaired all of the brick work on both porches and steps. They repaired the broken porch in the front. The porches were power washed and waterproofed when the work was complete.

It was a wonderful experience from start to finish. Rich came out and talked with us about what they would do. When his initial estimate was more than we could spend, he worked to change the scope of work to fit our budget while still doing an outstanding job. We have had these steps repaired 2 or 3 times in the last 20 years and they never looked this good. We are extremely happy with the responsiveness and the quality of work and would definitely recommend Rich.

Our stone planter which was attached to the house was falling apart. I wanted to repiar it uning the same stones and keeping the original look. Rich removed the soil from the planter, cleaned the stones and rebuilt it. The new planter is better than it ever was because he built in weep holes so there will not be a problem in the future. He also arranged the stones so the structure is much more stable. We have issues with stonework in the back of our home and we have asked him for a quote to repair that also.

Excellent. Could not be happier with Rich and his son, Jason. This is the second time they have done work at our home, and we look forward to working with them again. Rich returns calls promptly, arrives on time, and keeps you informed. Rich and Jason work hard, clean up after themselves and care about their work.
Description of Work: Removed 6 old basement windows. Removed coal shoot and cut opening larger. Cut brick foundation and blocked out for a new glass block window. Matched brick to existing foundation, and you'd think a window had always been there! Removed all debris. Installed 8 vented glass block basement windows. All windows needed a concrete sill on inside.

Richard and son Jason responded to my somewhat desperate phone call after it became clear that the stonemason I had previously contacted was never going to come after saying he would do our work. A stone step broke last winter when ice heaved it; the railing attached to it was therefore unsteady and didn't provide support, which was really a bad thing because the steps are on a very exposed side of the house and get lots of bad weather and ice and snow in winter. In spite of having a very full calendar of work, Richard showed up and measured to replace the stone, then looked at the places where we had also lost mortar between bricks in the last winter. We signed a contract with him, and about three weeks later he and Jason arrived and began work. It took them a couple of days, but they not only replaced the stone step and reattached the railing, but also prepared lots of places where the mortar had failed. They in fact found more than they had at the time they did the first assessment. They had to rebuild the brick riser under the stone step as well as tuck point the bricks in the walls on 3 sides of the house. They also filled in a gap in another set of stone steps where we hadn't even noticed a problem. All of this was done within the originally quoted price on the contract. When they finished, Richard pointed out a few more places around some stones in the walls that would need to be repaired (tuck pointed) next season, as there wasn't time this fall and the stones are OK for now. We couldn't have found a better resource for repairing our brick and stone work than Richard and Jason Nowicki. We will certainly call them again soon to set up the repair work for next spring/summer.

Rich and his son were great. They spent a lot of time making sure that they were able to reuse the existing stones, which saved us a lot of expense. They poured a new concrete footer on the bottom step and also re-laid bricks and stones under the stairs for new support. Excellent work and a creative creative solution for the job.
