The Northcoast College Painters did the most amazing job on my house and deck. I have lived in my home 33 years and this company made me feel like a valued customer. To begin, all things promised on the contract were delivered plus more. The more was a courteous, respectful, and honest experience. If you are a homeowner, you know how important these three things are when hiring someone to take care of your home. The estimate was sincerely reasonable. The owner Keith said he aims to provide a good estimate and a outstanding quantity job!

I am very disappointment with the owner of this company. We signed the proposal in May, 2023 to have our garage and trim of our house painted and the work was scheduled for mid-July. We were told the painters were two weeks behind in late July due to rain, and then we were told the painters went back to college in August, and there was no one to paint. We waited patiently all summer and nothing was ever done, as promised. It is unprofessional business ethics. Be leery when signing a proposal with Keith, because you may or may not make the list to get the work done even though you had an agreement.

*** YET ANOTHER CUSTOMER WARNING *** I contacted them before May 15 of LAST year and got a quote with a discount included for signing contract early in season. I checked in a few times to see when I was going to be on schedule. First Keith said July, then in July said August, then in August said September. End of September he said "we had a very rainy August and September, I will put you at the head of the line as soon as we start in spring 2023". I contacted him again in May to check in. Whether it was a text or a voicemail every month, I would reach out. He would respond that he would look at schedule. I saved all the messages and the contract and asked him what I should do. I forwarded the messages to him and the contract number. It is a shame the communication is so bad. I spent time and money cutting back bushes to make it easier on his guys. I signed early. I checked in monthly. I didn't contact another company because he kept putting me on. Now I am two years behind thinking Keith would communicate, follow up, or do the right thing. I rarely do bad reviews or reviews at all. I just hope this helps him realize how easy it is to just communicate instead of leaving people hanging. Once I saw the other complaints I realized I'm the foolish one.

"WARNING!!! He promises to come out but never does! He did this four times! BECAUSE OF THIS, WE NEVER GOT THE HOUSE PAINTED SINCE WE BELIEVED HE WOULD DO THE JOB. We then gave him a negative review, (similar to previous negative reviews left by others.) He then came to the house in person to TELL ME TO DELETE THE NEGATIVE REVIEW upon which I told him I would, ONCE HE PAINTS OUR HOUSE. He promised me that he would come out the next week, (Now in September), to paint the House. He never came out AGAIN and wouldn't answer his phone or return any of my calls. In hindsight, it looks like he came here for the sole purpose of getting me to drop the bad review! THIS GUY IS REALLY BAD NEWS!!! DON'T BELIEVE HIM WHEN HE SAYS HE WILL PUT YOU ON THE SCHEDULE TO PAINT!!!

They did an awesome job! We have a good size split level home and Keith and his crew finished the house in a day. We got 3 quotes and they were by far the least expensive. We would DEFINITELY hire them again!

"Fabulously" is one assessment. The team did a really good job preparing, painting and cleaning up. They were respectful of us, which is really nice. They were also respectful of the spaces around the house - vegetable and flower gardens, etc. We have had them paint the house before and we are again very pleased with every aspect of the job. And they are truly affordable compared to other offers.

Extremely well. Keith Doyle and his staff made this process as painless as possible. He was responsive, pleasant, accommodating and his estimate was the lowest of three. They were also punctual. I would highly recommend them.

I have an almost 100 year old house with ancient peeling aluminum siding. On a lark I decided to research whether it could be painted or if it would need to be replaced. The owner Keith responded quickly to my call and gave me an estimate which I found reasonable. I also got a second estimate from a recommendation. The second estimator was honest about his hesitation to even take the job as it would probably peel within a year or two. His proposal was nearly three times the amount of Keith's . North Coast College came and painted it in two days. The price was so reasonable that if needs repainted in a few years I have still come out ahead. The painters were hard workers, polite and cleaned up after themselves. The house looks so much better and I am very happy.

I have been working with Keith and Northcoast College Painters for the past three years, and they have painted four houses for me and my family. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone in need of a high-quality job done in a budget conscious manner. After I called, I promptly received a detailed quote, followed up by a phone call. The quotes are thorough and clearly state what is included, and when I requested separate quotes for the house and garage, he happily obliged. Their quotes were routinely 20% lower than the next. After the quote was accepted, they provided me with an estimated schedule. Of course this is subject to change - the weather we have had the past few years has made scheduling any outdoor work an extreme challenge. However, Keith has always kept me updated on their progress and my estimated completion day. He also has always called when my house is next, so I can prepare. This time he said they would start in "mid to late April". They started April 22 and finished April 25. I should mention that I have now had them work in a variety of mediums - traditional paint on wood siding, solid stain on wood siding, and paint on aluminum siding. Each job has looked excellent, so I feel confident they can handle a variety of different needs. The present job was the aluminum siding, which I did not know could look as good as it does! The work has not always been perfect the first time, but the owner prides himself of meeting the customer to walk through the work and correct anything that is needed. This most recent time, the crew forgot to hang my house numbers back up. Keith immediately got out his hammer and hung them up before he left. The job looked great, though I did notice a few cigarette butts in the back yard. Honestly, if I'm saving a few hundred dollars, I'm totally willing to pick up a few cigarettes. What it comes down to is: if you're looking for someone to do a high-quality job at a great price, with a crew that is kind and hardworking, but maybe not polished, I would absolutely recommend them. At least give them a call and let the price speak for itself. (It's also worth noting: This is a local company that's not affiliated with other "college painter" franchises that seem to be popping up all over. When I've called, I've always gotten Keith, the owner, directly, and he's been more than willing to answer questions and provide quick quotes and service.)

Crew of 6-8 were great. Keith Doyle is the owner and returned to spot check and fix areas that needed a touch up. Work was completed in 2 days!

We signed our contract in May and were told that we would be on the schedule in late June. At the end of June I had not heard from anyone so I finally called and was told they were running slightly behind schedule but would be there the following week. They arrived promptly on the scheduled date and worked efficiently. I was a little disappointed with a couple things- first, they had to move a few items away from the house but they never moved them back, including a large gas grill and storage bin. They also left a couple painting rags in our yard. Another annoyance was that in Shaker Heights the trash guys will not empty the entire trash bin (they only remove the bags). Well the painters had a bunch of food trash that they just tossed in the bin, leaving me a very nasty mess to clean up. On a positive note they did a nice job painting the house. The price was slightly lower than another estimate we had received.

Not good quality of work. Bought wrong colors of paint that customer wanted. Used flat paint instead of gloss paint despite what was ordered. Lack of priming and scraping.

NCP gave us an excellent price on painting the exterior of our house (less than half the price of the next lowest bid) so I signed contract 7/24/14 and was given a tentative date of late Aug./early Sept. Fall was cold and wet so understandably on 11/6/14, I received an email from Keith that they would not be able to do the work and that ?I can put you on the schedule for early next spring/summer if you'd like.? I told him to put us down for spring. We did not receive any messages from NCCP in the spring, so I contacted Keith by email on 4/16/15 asking when they would be able to start. He replied the same day writing ?I'm guessing early to mid May will be the start date. I will stay in touch as we get closer.? We heard nothing from them. On 6/2/15, my wife emailed Keith asking about a start date and he replied ?I will try for next week. I have your sheet pulled and in my briefcase.? That was the last we heard from them so we cancelled our contract on 7/1/15, almost a full year after we signed the contract and went with another painter. I would never recommend or use NCP in the future.

I contacted Northcoast College Painters several times (3-4) within the last 4 weeks to have them give me an estimate to paint awnings, and an outdoor deck area for a recent home flip my business is conducting. They have a 24 hour answering service that provides no help with any questions; they simply take a message and say that they will give it to them and that they should get back to you. To date I have never received an estimate. I did request a specific address and email for the estimate to be sent to since the home is not occupied, and I left this information with their answering service each time but have not heard from them after several contacts. And before the owner states that I called another "college painting company," I checked the address and it is the correct one listed above in their information block.

They painted the house and did an excellent job. It was a fair price.

Everything went great. They got behind about a week or two in schedule due to the bad wx, which I understood. They kept in touch and did a great job. Whole house done in 2 Days

Called first time and talked to person (owner) and he said he would be out to estimate and then didn't show up. Called 2nd and 3rd time and he never responded. VERY FRUSTRATING and NO EXCUSE. as I left number, address, and service request every time.

The process was smooth and efficient right from the beginning. When I called for a quote, I was able to receive quotes on all four houses within days. I had requested quotes from 5 painters, so I took some time getting back to them. They were at least 25% less than all other quotes. Another painter suggested going with a solid color stain, as the paint previously on the house was peeling badly. I asked Keith about this, and he said it would not be a problem. One of our houses was an urgent situation, and they painted that one immediately. This house, I was in no rush on, so they said mid- to late-July. I did speak with Keith at that time, and indicated that since it had been raining all of July, I was in no hurry and they could do other jobs first. Then, in August, I called in a slight panic as I learned the housing inspector was going to be out the following Friday and needed to see progress. Keith was able to arrange for the painters to begin work before the inspector arrived, and it was very clear to the inspector that work was in progress (imagine 12 painters swarming a small house!). This was great. They finished up the following week, making every effort to continue painting although weather conditions weren't great. They worked as much as possible each day, and exceeded my expectations. When they were "done", as with previous houses, Keith came by the following day to review the job before requesting payment. This is the MOST IMPORTANT PART! If you are concerned about the quality of painting done by a bunch of guys in their early 20's, that may be justified - but know that Keith will graciously and personally correct any problems you spot. There were several of these areas we noticed, and Keith pointed out a few more as we walked around the house. For instance, perhaps there was a brushstroke of blue paint on the white trim. Before he left my house that day, Keith had fixed each one of those items, added a second coat on the front stoop (not part of the original quote), and given the porch floor a second coat of paint (not part of the original quote). He did not charge extra for any of these items, and left me with a mostly full gallon of leftover stain. I honestly cannot imagine using another painter. To me, the fact that Keith personally inspects each job and corrects any problems himself is an insurance policy - you know that you will end up with a job that you like. Just don't be shy - if you notice something you don't like, don't be afraid to bring it to his attention - he is more than happy to fix any problems you see.

The job was several years ago, so I don't exactly remember the actual cost of the job. It appeared to be fine. They did a nice job, and were tidy and punctual. However, they painted over the weep holes in my storm windows, which I did not discover until many months later during a particularly heavy storm. As a result, the window wells filled with water, and caused damage to an interior wall. I wound up drilling new weep holes in the storm window frames.

We had a wonderful experience with Northcoast College Painters from scheduling through completion. Scheduling was easy and they were able to provide a quote very quickly. They said they would complete the job by June 15, even though we were a bit late in scheduling. They exceeded our expectations and had the work done early. Keith, the owner, then took the initiative to schedule a "walk-through" of the job the following day, to make sure everything was to our liking. At the first pass, we did have a few critiques - there was some paint on the downspouts, and only one garage door had been painted. To our amazement, Keith not only accepted the criticism, but he fixed ALL of our concerns that very morning, himself. Additionally, we had NOT asked them to glaze the windows, and Keith agreed to do that for a very small additional charge, and also completed the glazing that morning. We can't say enough good things about these painters - they were literally HALF the cost of all other quotes we received, they showed up on time when scheduled, and everything looks great. The job was OK before Keith came by, but the fact that he took the time to set up a review of the work, and also fixed everything so it was exactly how we wanted it that very day, was outstanding. Can't say enough good things. I am having Northcoast College Painters paint two additional houses for me this summer.

We hired them to paint the entire exterior of our home. They were very good, had reasonable pricing, and very quick. They had the entire house painted within 2 whole days and did a wonderful job. I would hire them again and would recommend to others.

The estimate was the lowest out of three or four that I received. I called them back at the first of September and told them I would like them to do the work. They told me they were backed up but they would come at the end of September to do the work. I never heard from them, so I called them and asked where they were. They said they were still backed up and would now come out in the beginning of October. I still have not heard back from them.

We were called several days in advance to schedule the project. They arrived on time, on the scheduled day, and started to prepare the surfaces for painting immediately. They started on time each day and completed the project as detailed on the Proposal. The workers were very professional, exceptionally proficient, and very courteous. We are very pleased with the result of the job and delighted with the cost of the painting project. I would not hesitate to recommend them to family, neighbors, friends and strangers.
