All the things that DLF Electric Inc did went very well. I had issues in my electrical system with the fuse boxes. In fact I had 4 fuse boxes between the house and garage. They were the only electricians that spent the time to look at the wires inside of the fuse boxes before I accepted their estimate. Other much more expensive and most A. List reviewed electricians did not do this at all. They were afraid to even open the fuse box covers until they had the job contracted. The DLF folks were looking at circuits and wire sizes in the boxes all without even knowing if they would get the job. They arrived on time on the date agreed to and solved all my electrical issues. Fixed problems in the kitchen with the microwave being wired to the ceiling lights, the basement washer being wired to the kitchen counter plugs and many other such bad issues. All of these were completely fixed. I now have one circuit breaker box in the house and one circuit breaker box in the garage. I am down to 2 breaker boxes now. They fixed the grounding issues I had, they installed GFI plugs in my basement and garage. I would hire them again with no hesitation and can totally recommend that anyone that needs an electrician needs to contact these folks first before you call the most expensive and most reviewed (A. List) electricians. Just because you have the most reviews on Angie's List does not mean that you are the best or the most trusted. I have learned that. DLF Electric was also the lowest in cost electrician that I got estimates from, but they were truly the best as far as what they provided. I trust them completely and highly recommend them A+++ as far as I can state.

Great. TJ and Bob did a great job. Very friendly and patient with my two toddlers who were fascinated with everything. They did a pretty good job with clean-up, but not spectacular. I needed to rerun the vacuum and wash down some woodwork, not enough to deter me from being pleased with the overall project. We had one outlet that I didn't use until the other week and when I called, they came out same day to make the necessary adjustment. Very pleased.

This is sort of an amendment to a previous review we did for this provider. We will not be calling DLF again. DLF did some work for us a year or so ago. Replaced some ceiling fans and light fixtures. They gave us a reasonable quote, came out promptly and did the work, cleaned up, we were happy enough with the work to call them again. Last summer I contacted Don again to get a quote on installing some lights in our basement. Once again he came out, gave us a reasonable quote, explained that they would accept the coupon on the installation. He was having some health issues at the time and we told him we were in no real hurry to get the work done and did not schedule anything. In the fall we tried to contact DLF again to see if we could get this job scheduled. Got no reply to our messages, the holidays came and went. This past January we contacted DLF again, both via phone and email. TJ from DLF came out to look at the job again and said they would honor their original quote. After two weeks of phone messages and responses to emails such as "forwarded to TJ's tablet" ,no followup to an email regarding rescheduling...and a phone converstation with Don regarding the job in which he seemed to have no clue what we were calling about and then once again waiting for a call back to schedule...we went with another provider. DLF had multiple contacts for us via phone and email. In reading through some of the other reviews listed for this provider it seems that this happens on a regular occasion. THis provider needs to work on their customer relations. If they are unable or do not want to do a job, be honest with your customers and tell them.

After a very nice young man came to the house and provided a detailed quote for electrical work, I cannot get any answer when I call to schedule the work. It has been a month and after many unanswered calls, I am returning to Angie's list to find another electrical contractor to do the job.

This job took a couple hours and they were very clean and quick. We even asked them to come out a month or so later to install an additional outlet and it ended up being way less than we thought because they had the forethought to run an additional line to the area we needed when they ran the new circuit. It's a good thing they were thinking ahead! We've used the guys at DLF for several jobs, at our current house and a former one. They are usually very busy (which speaks to their work, I believe), but always try to come out and perform the work in a reasonable amount of time, whether the job is large or small. They are very knowledgeable, fair, and professional.

We lost a complete circuit in the house. We called DLF in the morning and they had their men at our house within 2 hours. They located the problem immediately and repaired it. The men they sent out were very professional and friendly. If the need arises we will definately contact them again.

Very professional, courteous , timely, and good on clean up. Don had been dealing with Cleveland Heights violations for a long time. I will definitely use them again.

The job was completed in several seperate installation days due to the nature and size of teh work performed. Initially DLF installed several circuits for our kitchen remodel and then a new electrical panel They also installed grounded and several GFI circuits. We also had them install six canned lights on one of the rooms. I'm very pleased with the work they performed, they were very knowledgeable and I will use them in the future.

Excellent! Don showed up the day after being called and was ready to perform work. Lines were placed well and the simplest solution was used to address the issue. Electrical is a big concern in old houses like mine, and I felt very comfortable with what was done and the options given to me. All work was reviewed when finished, and another question regarding a light fixture was answered with ease and a simple estimate. I would call DLF for any future work on electrical!

Don Friedland was initially very responsive when I called 3/9 and came out in the evening of 3/12 to go through the house and get an idea of the project. Seemed to be pretty knowledgeable about the requirements of the job, and gave several suggestions of things we could think about. Appeared to be willing to work with us on some unusual requirements, as well. I was interested in working with him on this project if his actual quote came in close to his ballpark estimate. Never received the quote despite five calls (and voicemails) to his business and cell numbers. No response to my calls, either. Can't even get him to tell me he's not interested.

Very Well. He evaluated the problem, gave an estimate, explained what possible hidden problems might be revealed during the repair. We had some deteriorated materials below ground, but we were prepared for the problem and the associated cost because he provided all the information at the time of the estimate. He was very professioanl, the work was done wll, and he worked aroung our scheduling challenges. Will definitely contact him the future for other projects.

Very good. Don the owner is a nice guy. Professional and cleaned up after his work. TJ his employee is also a nice guy, also professional. They both answered my questions and I felt they did a good job. I would not hesitate to use them again in the future!

The crew showed up on time, and diagnosed the problem accurately. Even though no actual work was done, I was pleased to find out exactly what was going on so I could deal with a short circuit in our dishwasher. When Don showed up, he was knowledgeable, professional and courteous. I was charged just the service call fee, which I thought was reasonable for the time spent.

Don showed up on time with his worker. The work was done just like he told me it would be when he gave me the estimate. It was a very cold day and I thought I would be getting a call from him to reschedule like others do,he didn't,they worked right through the cold weather. I would not hesitate to use him again. Old school type of guy, he does thing right the first time. Thanks Don.

Absolutely pleased with the company's professionalism, timeliness, and expert electrical work. I feel the price for the work completed was extremely fair. The electricians were knowledgeable, polite, consciencious and extremely careful in my home.

My garage power went out unexpectedly last week. I checked the breaker, which wasn't tripped - but I reset it anyway to no avail. I had my handyman father-in-law take a look but he couldn't figure out the issue. So I called up Don @ DLF Electric - he'd done some work for me in the past and I was happy with the results. I explained the problem and he suggested I take a look for a GFI outlet needing to be reset. Sure enough, that was the problem! Other service providers may have just taken my information, come out to my house, and flipped the switch - charging me for a service call in the process. But Don was able to solve my problem with just a little helpful advice. Nice guy who knows what he's doing.

I had been told by another electrician that I needed to replace my whole panel, a $5200 job. I called DLF, Donald came out, told me it wasn't necessary to change the whole panel, just the breakers. I set up an appointment, they came out, replaced what they had to, checked out all the breakers, fixed some other things they found and charged me what the estimate was. I would recommend them highly for their honesty and workmanship and will continue to use them for any future electrical work.

Showed up on time, cleaned up when finished and didn't overcharge.

They knew what they were doing. They were prompt and professional.

Probably one of the most qualified electricians. But if you are a home buyer getting an electrical inspection, be aware that he does a lot of work for the real estate biz, creating some conflict of interest. (And it showed.)

Arrived at our home 1/2 hour from when we called. They diagnosed the problem & scheduled the date of service immediately. They arrived promptly at 9:00 AM the next morning & very efficiently solved the problems. Changed wiring so that circuits would no longer overload & switch off our furnace!!! thoughtful, polite and an excellent value. They are very fair in their service prices.They did not charge us for the initial service call!! Terrific company.

Service from DLF Electric was great from start to finish. Don came over to give me an estimate the same day I called. He actually was kind enough to stop by on his way home since he doesn't live far. When I called back to schedule the appointment, they were able to come within a few days and arrived on time (even a little early). Don had a young man accompany him who performed most of the work. He did a great job and I paid less than estimated since they finished sooner than anticipated. Don and his team were very friendly, not only to me, but also to my rambunctious Golden Retriever! My only minor complaint would be there was a small amount of debris from the repairs that was not cleaned up. However that may be customary as I have not had electrical work performed in my home before. I highly recommend DLF Electric and will definitely use them again.

Don responded very quickly to my calls, and despite a busy schedule, made time to come out within a day of calling him. Fixed my issues and more importantly gave me piece of mind that my electrical work has been done right. Would call again.
