Description of Work: Our former Angie's List electrician seems to have retired, so I called this provider for help with a garage outlet that was broken (and it is an important one, since I use it for my garage refrigerator and whole-house vacuum) and to get quotes on a generator. His partner or associate called back right away and we set up an appointment for either the next day or the day after. As soon as I went to enter the appointment into my electronic calendar I realized that I had a previously scheduled conflicting appointment. I called back to cancel and left a voicemail the night before, but since I didn't hear back I also had someone at the house to cover in case they hadn't received my message and kept the appointment. No one showed (which was fine of course; I had canceled and was just trying to back it up), but i have now called back at least TEN times, and left messages, and have texted, and I have gotten absolutely no response. I was interested in working with this company because they seemed to have particular expertise with generators -- and I wanted to get the work done this fall.

Description of Work: I called at 7:30 AM and left a message with a description of the electrical problem I was having and that I would appreciate a call back. I received a return call by 9:00 AM the same day. I had called two other local electricians and still have received no response. Don explained to me that that my logical and most cost effective avenue was to notify the electric co. because what I was describing could well be a problem they should resolve without a cost to me. If not, he would immediately dispatch his guys to my house when I called back. Guess what! He was right. God bless honest businessmen. The electric co. fixed my problem and I didn't have to spend a penny. If I ever have a need for electrical work, I will call Don and DLF in Willoughby and tell all my friend about him. I just moved to this area from the St. Louis area two years ago and had not network of friends for referral in this situation. I am most thankful to Angie's List and to DLF. There are really good folks out there. Thanks so much DLF!!!

Description of Work: Don came out within 3 hours of our call to determine if we were not getting "clean" power into our building. Our network went down and our IT support provider said we had "dirty" power. Don not only came out quickly, but he gave us a phone number of the electric company and instructed us how to request they check our lines. He examined our server's battery back-up log and gave us a few other helpful hints on powering our servers. I was extremely impressed that he wouldn't even take any money for his time. He said that his visit to our firm gave him the understanding he needed of our layout and an idea of our needs. He even called me back a few days later to see how things were working out and what we found out about from the electric company. You just don't find such decent, honest people like Don everywhere. I would give Don my highest recommendation for anyone needed electrical work done.
