Custom Cleaning & Maintenance

The staff is professional and efficient and always completed all tasks asked of them. They identified items that needed to be addressed and discussed with me prior to undertaking them. They left my home spotless every time!

The cleaners were very good. Broken items have not been replaced as yet. The rest has to do with their trainer. One of the employees/trainer said she lost a 1/4 carat diamond earring stud and wanted to check and see if she could find it at our home. While here she stole my husband’s pain medication and refused to cooperate with the police. Earlier in the year we were told we were several payments behind (we always paid in cash and had them sign a receipt before they left). They claimed they only had 14 receipts and we had all 18 signed by their employees. Thereafter we wrote checks AND wrote receipts. These two incidents seemed to be unrelated. As we consider them together, it would appear to be part of the same problem. Today, I received a certified letter from an attorney who claimed to represent Custom Cleaning and Maintenance. The letter stated “the allegations posted on Angie’s List are untrue and Defamatory.” The letter threatened me with defamation because of my review on Angie’s list of Custom Cleaning and Maintenance. The letter also stated that they would seek punitive, and compensatory damages, as well as attorney’s fees if I did not delete my review within “seven (7) days” of my receipt of their letter. As of Friday, May 5, 2018, 12:45 p.m., the employee of Custom Cleaning and Maintenance has refused to submit an exclusionary DNA swab or provide a statement to the police regarding the theft of my husband’s medication. As far as the receipts, and us paying in cash, when we were supposedly behind in our payments, we have the written proof we were current. Their lawyer should have had all the facts before he wrote this letter. We always paid at the time of service.

They are fantastic. I am using them for about 10 years now.

They do a great job. I'm happy with their service. Sharon has been the team leader who's been doing my house for a number of years, she's awesome. They're thorough. If you have any specific requests, they'll do it. I have dogs and they even let them out while I'm out at work.

They are amazing. They show up on time every week. They are accommodating and do great work.

They arrived about 15" late. I would have still given them an "A" rating in this category had someone called me to let me know they would be late. The two ladies were very professional, courteous and sweet. They were easy to work with and did a good job on what they completed. A couple of things were most likely accidentally overlooked but they can do these things when I schedule them next time. I would use them again. Next time I would like them to use my check-off list to ensure that the things on my list are done. Especially if I am not there, I want to be able to test that they will address everything on the list. They finished in much less time than two hours so there was definitely time left to ensure that everything gets done. Overall, I was pleased with their cleaning.

Did not clean bathroom floors or toilets. missed some dusting on lamp shades and fixtures. Didn't clean top of refrigerator. I asked them to wash and wax the utility room floor but they did only what you can see and didn't wax the floor. left dirt under rugs in living room. Didn't dust the tops of picture frames or mirrors. Did not wipe down or dust doors. Didn't move the chairs to vacuum under them. All this for a very high price.

They always notify me ahead when they're coming. They always do a special good job in the kitchen and bathrooms. They seemed to be very trustworthy. I've been using them for 6 years and we have no complaints.

I have used Custom Cleaning for 15+ years. The crew comes in for a couple of hours every other week. A specific set of tasks are set, but I can request special items. I have always been satisfied. Very responsive if I need to change my schedule. They have had a key to my house for the entire time and once when a key got lost, they changed all the locks. How nice it is to walk into a clean house!!

They perform house cleaning services, including dusting, vacuuming, washing tile floors and overall housekeeping services. My home has two full bathrooms that are included in the cleaning. Every three weeks, two employees of Custom Cleaning arrive at my home to clean. I usually try to make sure all personal items are out of the way to enable them to do their jobs. I have a couple of special cleaners that I like them to use. Because I have two cats, they are free to use my Dyson Vacuum which I purchased because of the animals.

I have used them quite a few times. They are very good. They show up on time and even give me a heads up call if they are going to be running a little late. They employees that they send out are very friendly. This one time my daughter brought home her cats, and I am allergic to cats, and they came out and scrubbed and cleaned up anything really well so that there was no more cat hair. They are all delightful, contientious and friendly. They only come out for me when I need them. They send out as many as 3 people, depending on what I need done. Their price is reasonable too. The nice thing about them is they always reconfirm if they are running late. They are very good at staying in touch and that is very important to me.

I've been very pleased with them. They'll do extra chores periodically, like cleaning the wood work. They also offer to work extra in the Spring or holidays if I need it.

We are still doing work with them. We have been using them for about 3 years and they come out every other week. They do a good job and we are pleased. They have good pricing and they do excellent cleaning. They show up when they say they are going to be here and they are responsive to our calls too. They are very professional. If we ever have any issues we bring that to their attention and they handle it professionally.

We have had them for several years. They come out every two weeks for us. They have been very reliable, very responsive and take care of our needs. They do general house cleaning like: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the base boards and floors. They also wash the dishes too. You get a team of two ladies and they rotate every two weeks.

If a company does not return calls in a reasonable time frame, one has to question their overall operation. I did not respond to their email because I had already decided on a provider.

The overall experience was positive. Beth came out to the house, walked through with me and we discussed the cleaning services that the company would provide. I was very impressed with her professionalism, and their approach. They have long term employees who serve as team captains, overseeing one or two other team members. That captain is then at your house on a regular basis. When I got the quote back, I will say I had a bit of sticker shock -- the first cleaning would be almost $500. I understand that the first time is usually longer .. however, it was still higher than I thought. The regular cleaning were a bit less on a biweekly basis -- about $150 - $175 (depending on whether our in law suite was included). I will say that Beth was more than willing to work with me, and made suggestions for a one time per month cleaning instead. I appreciate her follow up and the way she conducted her business. Having had a cleaning lady who took money from my elderly mother, I am now looking for a company, and this one seemed to be trustworthy and did provide insurance, etc. So, while I haven't closed the door completely, I have to continue to review my budget before making this committment. I would, however, be willing to recommend them to others ... our house is relatively large -- so a smaller house might be a bit more in budget.

Custom Cleaning has been a reliable, flexible, competent source for housecleaning. They couldn't be more responsive when any issues did arise.

We thoroughly enjoy our cleaning service. Staff is professional and courteous at all times. If there is a specific request, employees do their best to accomodate us. Hope to move to weekly service soon!.

My physical therapist knew them personally and recommended them. It was a good recommendation. They ddid a nice job. I thought it was a little expensive, I wasn't too thrilled with the price but I needed it done. It was 3 hours work and $92 seemed to be high. I realize there is a price difference when you have a company rather than just a person, but I will have them again through the holiday season.

I would recommend them. I've used them for years. We are in the process of taking the house apart and putting it back together. I will use them again as soon as we get the house put back together. They come out and do an estimate based on what you want done and then they charge you for that. I think the chamber named them business of the year last year.

They were professional and very thorough in what they did.
