I contacted WyattWorks for a plumbing issue with an upstairs sink that was leaking into a downstairs hallway. The serviceman that came to the house to assess the situation said it was "Really Bad" and that he would need an assistant and the job would take 6-8 hours. He gave me a price of $2180 which seemed a bit high, but given the fact that it was going to take two professionals 6-8 hours to complete, I agreed. When they came back to the house on the scheduled repair date, they were only at the house for 3 hours, of which one hour was spent shopping for parts. So the bottom line complaint is that a job that was hyped as massive and required two servicemen only took â…“ of the time quoted - yet I was still charged the full $2180 for the job. I wrote to and spoke with an owner about the job. I asked for a breakdown of services - just like I would with any other service. The owner sent me a breakdown of the two hour, $2180 job as follows: 5% Materials = $109, 23% Labor = $501, 45% Overhead (which was not explained) = $981, and 27% Profit = $588. I expressed my shock with this breakdown and told the owner that his overhead and profit were excessive for the project. He offered to give me a $588 refund. I told him that I thought a refund of $1180 was more in line with the final outcome. He ignored that request and sent me a check for $588 refund. I did cash the check and am awaiting the additional $592 refund for the misrepresented and overhyped extent of my plumbing job. With the cashing of the check, the new job numbers for a two hour plumbing job are as follows: 5% Materials = $80, 23% Labor = $366, 45% Overhead = $716, and 27% Profit = $430. In either case, the 45% overhead and 27% profit margins are unethical and should be presented up front when pricing jobs. I honestly feel that customers should know that this company charges 72% for overhead and profit when they are getting "upfront pricing" and that the company, in this case, "did not make it right". I filed a BBB complaint and will await the outcome of their investigation into these very shady price structures. Shame on ME for not getting additional quotes for the job! In the future I will make this common practice. However, Wyattworks will not be one of them.

[Member Name Removed], We apologize that you feel that the pricing was not explained to you in a more detailed fashion upfront. We do see that you did sign off on the work before we started the job and that you were satisfied with the pricing and the process before we began the work per your acknowledgment and signature. As far as the refund, our service manager and finance department felt that we had came to a fair agreement on the pricing and on the courtesy refund of $588 for this job. As far as "shady price structures," that is completely disrespectful to our company. We are an honest and genuine company that explains and thoroughly goes over the job and our pricing before we begin the work. We never go forward with work without our customer's consent and signature, which we received from you as well. Again, we apologize that you feel this way and feel that what we have offered as a refund is more than fair. Thank you.

We had an appointment for later in the week for the general plumbing, but then our hot water heater failed. We called to see if we could get an immediate repair call, and Wyattworks got Bryan to our house within hours. He could not have been more professional or capable. He went over a series of options, clearly explaining each. Once we signed off, he set to work. I’ve never seen anyone work more efficiently. This was not an inexpensive job, but we are big believers in that you get what you pay for. We wanted first-rate work, and Bryan provided it. Consider us completely satisfied.

I had a slow kitchen drain. Everything went great from the moment I called. Very friendly customer service! Seemed to genuinely care about resolving my issue. Sent a service tech out to snake the drain and it was later discovered that the issue was in the main line. Another technician was sent to run a camera through my lines free of charge! After discovering the blockage, it was recommend that we run a "Jetter" through the line to remove roots and other debris. After a price was presented, I agreed to move forward with the jetting. A third visit was necessary where two technicians were present and cleared the line with the Jetter. The charges from each of the previous technician visits were removed from the final price and the issue was resolved. My kitchen drain works fantastic now! All of the technicians were honest and up front about prices and made recommendations before they performed any work. I would definitely recommend them and will rehire for all future plumbing needs!

WW picked up phone right away when I called and scheduled an appointment for the next week. That's a huge plus in a world where it's difficult to even get some folks to call you back. The service tech that came out on day of appointment (Billy) was awesome. We had two repair jobs to complete in two different bathrooms and then a larger project to remove some pipes and tuck others behind a wall. He walked us through everything with all prices stated up front. I think he spent longer on one of the repair jobs than expected, but did a really good job at making sure everything was working correctly. These guys might be a little more expensive than the typical contractor, but getting someone good to show up and do reliable, quality work is absolutely worth it. thank you!

Removal and Installation went smoothly and cleanup up everything. Installer, Rocky, thorough and knowledgeable. They kept me well-informed about service date and time, unlike most companies. Initially quoted me $2800, but got them down to $2300 after talking to service manager/co-owner. Still way,way over priced, other companies quoted me around $1,800. I used this company because they were able to install same day of visit and after 2+ weeks of dealing with providers and variety of hot water tank models, etc, I just wanted it done, so I overpaid for this service. My evaluation was a C due to the high price, not the service.

The job went really well. Kevin arrived on time, evaluated how he could bring a gas line to my kitchen with the least amount of disruption to the walls/ceilings, gave me two options with two different prices, and then proceeded to get the job done all in one day. Kevin was also particularly accommodating of my work-from-home schedule. He was patient while I completed a work-related call, and then showed me his work and demonstrated that the range was working as expected.

Friendly scheduler, able to schedule two days later on a Sat as I requested. Plumber provided estimates on 3 escalating repairs, and one drain replacement. He said he couldn't be sure of the problem until he pulled to toilet off. After he had a look, he felt the middle option was required. I agreed, he completed the work within an hour, and cleaned up the entire area. Tenant had no complaints. I felt it was a bit expensive. However, the convenience of Sat appointments (they said no additional charge for Saturdays) and the fact that the plumber was very knowledgeable and able to communicate with me the problem in clear language are big pluses.

The installation went well. It took about 45 minutes to replace a double faucet with two single faucets. The serviceman spent 20-30 minutes in his truck before and after the installation (?). When I looked at the invoice, I was shocked. Total was $505.00. Discussed with several company employees and owner. It was like pulling teeth to get a breakdown. I was told they charge by the job. When I finally got a breakdown, $220.40 was overhead and $50.05 was profit. I worked for a piping contractor with plumbers. Maybe 10% profit and overhead. This company doubled their actual charges.

After 3 other plumbers came out to check my leak, I am thankful that I called WyattWorks. They actually found the problem inside the house and saved me a lot of headache and money. The other 3 plumbing companies were ready to tear up my yard and house to replace the entire 50 feet of well line. It took WyattWorks to REALLY look and find out the leak was from the section of pipe that was accessible inside my home. Luke Wyatt came out and was beyond thorough. He is extremely knowledgeable. His estimate included 6 options with pricing for me to choose. All was well explained to me. I, also, decided to include a new pressure tank, as mine was 24 yrs. old. Needed supplies were delivered to my home, prior to the workman arriving. The company is so wonderful in their communication skills. They told me the name of the workman, Jamal, and then sent me his picture and qualifications. That was a first for me with any company. The safety AND concern of this company is fantastic. Jamal was remarkable in his skills, knowledge, and willing to explain all that he was doing. His recommendations on how to rework the plumbing was well received. I just cannot say enough about this company. They are now my plumbers for life!

Fantastic. We got quotes from 4 different contractors and, while WyattWorks was the second highest, we went with them because Larry took the time during the walkthrough and estimating process to ask the questions no one else did, such as if we had plans to finish the basement and if so, how would running the new pipe affect those plans. They gave us 4 separate options, with each quote having specific detailed line items for each specific service to be performed. They were just as thorough during the project. Larry asked us about our plans and specific needs for the day to determine when it would be least intrusive to have the water shutoff or to have certain sinks inaccessible while they completed the work. Once everything was finished, Larry spent half an hour checking everything to ensure that there were no leaks and that all the new valves were properly working. He then spent another fifteen minutes going over everything with me and answering any questions I had. Over the years we've used several different plumbers, from local companies to national companies. What was different about WyattWorks is the overall experience. They spent a significant amount of time going over things prior to providing us with quotes, and Larry even responded to additional questions I had via email while he was on vacation. They were as minimally intrusive and could be expected when the entire main kitchen drain line is being replaced, and took the time to answer the questions I had in a very detailed and understandable manner so that we felt confident we were selecting the best option for us. We have other specific plumbing projects we will be undertaking in the near future (installation of water filtration system, plumbing of the basement for a bathroom), and will be using WyattWorks for both of the projects because of how great our experience with them was today.

Paid $59 for a quote to have an exterior faucet replaced (line damage from the winter). The complete quote was over $1000 with no justification or itemization. Hired another plumber to complete the same job for under $500. The tech showed me one of the parts (a frost-free spigot) that was going to be used (not officially on the quote) and the price was over $400. This is a maybe a $50 part from a hardware store... I am utterly baffled by the positive reviews here. I talked to someone else that has used them as well and had a similar experience.

Just wow. This company is awesome. We had a leak in the laundry room that ruined the flooring and damaged the wall. That fix was simple. While I had a plumber here, I showed him a problem with the kitchen sink water backing into the dishwasher and leaking out. The fix was to replace the locked up and gunk filled garbage disposal that hadn't worked in years.....and as long as we were addressing the kitchen, why not replace the old dripping faucet. Done. While other contractors were fixing the damage to the laundry room floor and wall, we found out the shut-offs were not working to the sink. Once again we called Wyattworks. The serviceman replaced the shut-offs, no problem. When he went to turn off the water to the laundry room, he showed me the house shut-off had no handle to turn. He was able to replace that shut-off as well on the same visit. All of these issues were addressed in 3 visits. Every serviceman who worked in our home was outstanding....friendly, professional, extremely clean, and offered different options to address problems. This company nailed it here in our older home. Even communication from the office was top notch. I was called multiple times on the days of our appointments. A call to let us know where we were on the day's schedule. If it was to be a later (afternoon or later) visit, a call to check in and let me know if they were on schedule. A call when they were finishing up on the job before mine and then a final call when the serviceman was on his way and about how long it would take him to get here. I was never left in the dark and wondering if they would be here. Customer service couldn't have been any better. Every person who I dealt with from Wyattworks was fantastic. Thank you all.

It went very well. When she called to tell me the plumbers were on their way, I immediately got an email with a photo so I would know who was coming to my home. The plumbers are quickly and diagnosed the problem as a bad Thermocopple. The gave me an estimate to replace it, did the work and made sure the pilot stayed lit and was producing hot water. Over all it went well.

After bouncing through multiple phone calls and people to schedule someone to give me an estimate for a small plumbing job I finally talked to someone about dates and times. Only after all that did they bother to quietly mention a $59.00 fee. So yeah...they wanted to charge me to give them the opportunity to do work for me. Pro tip: If you're asking for someone to come out and design or engineer something for you, fine, but if you just have a job you'd like to hire out, never, ever, ever, ever pay someone for a quote.

[Member Name Removed], We apologize to hear this. We can appreciate that you're upset about the diagnostic charge. Our technicians work very hard and it does cost to have them go out and take the time and care needed to accurately access each situation. Because of this we ask that they take their time with every call, no matter big or small. They are highly skilled professional technicians and are rewarded as such. If you would like to speak with the service manager about this, please feel free to call the office at 216-302-3400.
