The trim and framing around my front door was starting to rot due to moisture, so I purchased a “handyman special” from Angie’s List based on the positive reviews the company had received. Kenneth from Committed Construction first came out and inspected the damage and tried his best to replace the trim as close as possible to the original specs. He even ran around town looking for the best possible solution. Once it became evident that replacing to original specs. was not going to be possible we scheduled another time for him to meet me at Home Depot so he could explain my options. Once we decided on a course of action Kenneth installed the new pieces and it looks fantastic. Eric from Committed Construction called soon after I bought the coupon to schedule. He confirmed our appointment the Friday before since it was for the day after Labor Day. Russell arrived a little early. We reviewed our task list and he went right to work. We had an air leak in the front of the house and he carefully caulked along the seam. In the back, he caulked around a microwave vent that was letting water into the kitchen. Then he went upstairs and replaced a bedroom light with a small ceiling fan. He clearly knew what he was doing. Once he finished that, he went right to the bathroom and replaced the sconces. That took a little ingenuity because the lights came with mounts that didn't quite work the existing electrical box. He also replaced a GFCI in the bathroom. Then we had him look at the light that illuminated our house numbers. It hasn't worked for a while. He suggest replacing the existing setup with some LED lights and told us how to attach them. We also had him look at a rain barrel that we wanted to install. It needs some kind of platform and we discussed some options for that. Russell was very professional and a real pleasure to work with. We will definitely call these people again.

It went really well. Erik was able to get this scheduled fairly quickly. Russell came to the house and he was very knowledgeable and efficient. He worked quickly to get things done on the list. He paid attention to detail and everything looks great. To save time, I had all the supplies there, but before they knew that, they offered to pick them up. I would recommend them and will probably hire them again this year.

I hired Committed Construction twice to completed a variety of projects and Russell completed the jobs both times. The first time we had several lighting fixtures and a ceiling fan installed on our 16' vaulted ceilings and the second time he installed a backsplash. Not only were they easy to schedule on the days that I requested, but Russell worked hard to complete the jobs within the timeframe we had given him. Because we had underestimated the time it would take to install the backsplash, Russell had to come back and he was able to schedule us in the next day. He made sure to conserve the materials to help save us money and he even worked a bit over and didn't charge us extra. My kids loved him and our house looks great now thanks to Russell! I would hire Committed Construction again in a heartbeat.

Erik, the job manager, was very eager to please and made me feel like a valuable customer. Where other handyman companies as Home Depot did not do this type of job (replacement of a whole house fan), they were ready to work. They purchased a 36 in Dayton fan for me which was of a higher quality than you find at the large hardware stores. Their cost was hundreds less than two other companies who charged more for installing a 30" fan. Russell, the installer, was a very pleasant man who arrived on schedule, put the whole fan and timer in himself, and worked in a proficient manner. The fan has been working fine. They also offered a good warranty on parts and labor. They are the way companies ought to function! Thank you Committed Construction Company and Angie's List!!

Could not have gone smoother. I was looking for someone to replace my leaking water heater and came across Committed Construction, who happened to have a great Angie's List deal for a water heater replacement. It was the best price I'd seen and they have good reviews, so I bought it on a Tuesday afternoon. Wednesday morning, they called and said they could be there at 1:00pm that day. The gentleman that arrived right on time (I'm so sorry, I am terrible with names) was very nice and got to work draining and disconnecting the old unit. Once that was done, Erik arrived with the new unit and they finished removing the old and installing the new. They did a great job, and even replaced a broken shut off valve and didn't charge any extra for it. In less than 24 hours after purchasing the deal, I had a new water heater and a company to call when I need anything done in the future. Very satisfied!

Erik was terrific to schedule with and Russ was an awesome handyman. He was on-time, organized and thorough. He went from one task to the next, had all his tools prepared and cleaned up everything as he worked. I liked them so well that I've had them come give me an estimate to repair drywall and paint in my basement where we had some recent water damage. I will definitely hire them again!
