Description of Work: I have used Turf Specialists for years. They were recommended by a friend who has also used them for years and I have recommended them to neighbors who now also use them. I previously used a "big box" weed control company and was never pleased. Several years ago I was about to completely install a brand new lawn and then my friend stopped me and convinced me to use Turf Specialist--now my neighbors say I have the best lawn on the block. My neighbors were calling around to get quotes on a new lawn, I told them to try Turf Specialist and in one season they now have a beautiful lawn and saved a ton of money.

 + -1 moreThey were recommended by my landscaper. They come out and put in the fertilizer and treatment. They send somebody over to check on things about 2-3 weeks later. They are really good. They recheck on things. Their price is in the ballpark, and they are reliable. They are a super big company. The lawn looks good now. They do not have a lot of people working with them. The people working there have been there for a long time. So, they know their stuff. The staff is really nice. I do not have any complaints about them at all. I have never had to call them. They let me know when they come out. They gave me a schedule when they would come out to do the service. Once, when the lawn keeper changed his schedule, these guys changed the days of their coming out to make sure the lawn was not cut with the fertilizer. They took the extra effort. They do not have set appointments or time. I have recommended them to others. They are very good.

 + 0 moreI'm pleased with anything they do. They aerate the yard twice a year. They do the weed control on everything and then they come back and check to make sure they've got it all and if they haven't, they redo it. Everything they do is really good. I would continue to use them in the future.

 + -1 moreTerry and Carrie are very through and are willing to take the time to talk to the homeowner on how they can make their lawn better. Carrie recommended that I fertilize the tree and shrub since they require iron soil. So, far the program has made improvement in the appearance of my yard. I will continue to use them.

 + -1 moreI WAS ORIGINALLY SATISFIED. DID NOT HAVE THEM CUT GRASS AFTER FIRST YEAR AS STATED AS I DID NOT LIKE THEIR NEW CHARGING PRACTICE. DID NOT LIKE THEIR CHARGES FOR LEAF PICK-UP SO DID NOT HAVE THEM DO THAT ALTHOUGH ONCE I HAD TO TELL THEM NOT TO DO OR CHARGE ME FOR BLOWING LEAVES THAT WERE IN MY NEIGHBORS YARD. OBVIOUSLY ARE NOT ETHICAL PROFESSIONALLY AS THEY HAVE NOT CALLED ME BACK AND JUST DROPPED ME IN THE MIDDLE OF WHAT I CONSIDERED A SUMMER CONTRACT. LED ME TO BELIEVE THAT THEY WOULD CALL BEFORE FERTILIZING BECAUSE I WROTE IT ON THE ORIGINAL SIGN-UP IN FEB. AND THEY DID NOT SAY THEY WOULD NOT DO THIS EITHER THEN OR THE TWO TIMES AFTER THAT THAT I TOLD THEM THIS. ALSO ONLY DID ONE OF THREE BUG CONTROL SPRAYS. DROPPED ME ON BOTH THINGS WITHOUT NOTICE OR DISCUSSION. MY REAL COMPLAINT IS THAT THEY NEVER SAID ON ANY OF MY DISCUSSIONS THAT THEY WOULD NOT CALL IN ADVANCE, BUT THEN THEY NEVER DID.
Description of Work: I HAVE USED THIS CO FOR THREE YEARS. ORIGINALLY HAD THEM CUT GRASS, FERTILIZE AND FOR BUG CONTROL. NO GRASS AFTER ONE YEAR. SIGNED A CONTRACT THIS PAST SPRING FOR THE SUMMER AND STIPULATED THAT THEY NEEDED TO CALL ME BEFORE FERTILIZING AS I AM OUT OF TOWN A LOT. THE FIRST TIME THEY JUST SHOWED UP. I TOLD THEM AGAIN TO CALL FIRST BUT LET THEM DO THE JOB. IN JUNE THEY CAME AGAIN WITHOUT CALLING WHEN I HAD BEEN OUT OF TOWN THREE WEEKS AND FERTILIZED WHILE I WAS NOT THERE. CALLED SAME DAY AND REPEATED THAT THEY HAD TO CALL IN ADVANCE. TOLD THEM I WAS NOT GOING TO PAY BECAUSE AFTER BEING TOLD THREE TIMES THEY HAD STILL FERTILIZED WITHOUT CALLING FIRST. I NEVER WOULD HAVE LET THEM FERTILIZE WHILE MY GRASS WAS IN THAT CONDITION. MID SEPT. IT OCCURRED TO ME THAT THEY HAD NOT DONE THE 3RD FERTILIZING AND ALSO HAD NOT DONE THE BUG CONTROL WHICH I ALSO HAD CONTRACTED FOR. I CALLED THEM AND LEFT MESSAGES TO CALL ME THREE TIMES. THEY HAVE NEVER CALLED ME BACK.

 + -1 moreCOST IS PER SEASON, WITH A DISCOUNT FOR PAYING UP FRONT, EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE, AFTER A BAD ONE WITH THE LAST LAWN COMPANY. THEY RESPOND QUICKLY, TAKE INITIATIVE. THE LAWN LOOKS GREAT, and IF THERE ARE ANY PROBLEMS, THEY COME RIGHT BACK OUT, THEY EVEN DO SPOT INSPECTIONS WITHOUT WAITING FOR A REQUEST.
