Odell Construction Inc

We have used Odell Construction for 2 major house projects. They added on a third car garage for us in 2017, and most recently (2024) they completely renovated our master bathroom and our hallway bathroom. They have been excellent to work with from start to finish! Kristie, our designer, listened to what we wanted in both bathrooms, and helped us come up with design ideas. Our project manager, Chris, kept us informed with weekly emails about what to expect the following week, and was very responsive to any questions or concerns we had. They showed up on time everyday and if there was ever a schedule change, we were notified beforehand. Chris, Kevin, Lyle and Brad, etc did excellent work and cleaned up after themselves daily. We couldn’t be any happier with the way both bathrooms turned out! Highly recommend!

We've used Odell twice and both times they did what they said they were going to do, when they said they were going to do it, for the amount they said it would be. They communicate well and everyone on the team is friendly and courteous.

we would have liked a phone call. left the house saying he'd e-mail an est. A few weeks later e-mailed saying a lead carpenter left and he wouldn,t be taking the job. We weren,t even given the option of postponement.(we started this jobin3-05, we are pactient people. WE feel like he didn,t want to be bothered

I give Odell Construction the absolute highest rating in every area. Their work is absolutely top notch. Every time I step into my bathroom, I cannot believe how beautiful it looks! Justin helped us through every step of the process. Considering this was our first extensive remodel, we had so many questions. Justin took the time with us to answer every one until we were satisfied. I felt that I could call him at anytime with questions, and he took the time to make sure I understood everything. He was flexible and willing to work with us within our budget. He was completely professional, always showed up on time and coordinated all of our projects perfectly. He stuck to the schedule that he originally discussed with us. Not only was his work exemplary, but he is very personable and makes you feel at ease. Taking on an extensive project can cause anxiety, but Justin was there to answer any questions and deal with any concerns. I feel like they treated my home as if it was their own. When they left each day, everything was cleaned up and organized. They were careful to contain dust and protect all other areas of my home with tarps, etc. Justin is a true craftsman as every aspect of the job looked incredible: the tile work, the cabinet and counter top installation, the dry wall, the wood work, and the paint. My father in law was in construction for many years and came over to check out their work when they were in the initial stages of framing in the walls. He told me that he was very impressed with their work as well. We would not hesitate to give Justin and Odell Construction our highest recommendation. We will definitely be using them in the future

I knew that I needed to have my bathroom redone as water was leaking into the kitchen. My plumber, who installed the new tub, recommended Odell Construction. Justin took the time to explain all of my options such as ceramic tile vs. vinyl. He called me as soon as everything came in and started a week later. He started work on Tuesday and was finished on Friday. He did not leave any kind of mess when he left each day. I was thrilled at the results! I do not miss my 1970's olive green bathroom at all! I highly recommend Odell Construction.

The work went relatively quickly and without interruption to my daily life. Walls were knocked down, new studs put in where needed. At the end of each day the rooms were swept and tools put away. Plastic partitions were draped to keep the dust in just the work area. The wall and ceiling work was done first then the flooring. Island installed and wired, exhaust hood installed over the stove. Shower was the last to be installed. The total job (with him waiting on me to do the painting) took about one and a half months.

After contacting several contractors to actually "show up" for the estimate, O'dell Construction returned my calls, came to my house on time, and the day we agreed upon. Was having trouble getting contractors to return my calls, show up, and after showing up, never called back with the estimate. We wanted our bathroom remodeled and Justin was not only knowledgeable but gave great alternative ideas as to what we could accomplish. Very easy to talk to and not pushy at ALL. Was very flexible about what jobs my husband and I could do on our own, the materials we wanted to use, and he wrote everything down. He answered all of my questions and did not rush the meeting. In one week he emailed me a very professional estimate listing specifically each aspect of the work involved. He was also very prompt in returning emails that I had questions on. Although we did not select O'dell Construction at this time, they are the first on my list to call if the person we chose does not come through. Very impressed!

I called for an estimate for window and door replacements. Justin arrived on time to that appointment. I asked him to give me an estimate for replacing a patio door, 3 windows and a door leading to a garage. I asked what products he used for these items. He indicated that he uses the lines that are supplied by Carter Lumber. I asked if he would consider using other product lines if I did not want to use what Carter had. His estimate was given to me quickly and by email which was great. The other estimate I asked for from a different contractor took a week because he sent it via mail. I did not like the patio doors Carter had. I found what I wanted at Home Depot. It was on sale at Home Depot. I took the estimate to Justin and he went to Home Depot to order the right item and to make sure the door handle was the right way and that it was sliding the right way. He also arranged for delivery. He asked for 1/2 down, which was reasonable since he had to order materials before starting the job. He was on time the day of the scheduled installation work and had all the materials as requested. The installation was quoted to take 2 days and it did. So that was accurate also. Everything was cleaned up afterward and hauled away which was part of the quote. I originally was going to do the haul away myself, but when I saw his price, it was not worth it to do it myself. But if someone wanted to save money here, at least it was spelled out what it cost for haul away. What I liked most about Justin was his willingness to help me save money on this project. While I could have asked him to do all of the finishing work like painting the trim and door, he was willing to just do the installation I wanted and let me do my own finishing work. His quotes were very reasonable and I liked his willingness to go the extra mile to help me get the products I was interested in. When the door that leads to the garage came in and I looked at it, I asked if it was according to the fire code. We found out it wasn't. He took the door back to Carter and then picked up one that was according to code. There was no restocking charge since that was a standard item carried by Carter and was an easy trade-out. I would recommend Justin's company, Odell Construction to others for looking for someone window and doors replacement work. His quotes are true, no surprises, and he is prompt and on time. I previously hired Justin to install a patio door, windows, and a door leading to the garage. I was so impressed with his work that my sister and I decided to hire his company to remodel the kitchen. Once we had the new patio door and windows in, the rest of the kitchen really needed a face lift. Since this project was bigger, we selected a cabinet line that was part of the Carter Lumber line of kitchens. We wanted to make sure that the measuring and ordering of these items were done by people who do this everyday. While we did order a lot from Carter Lumber, we still wanted the flexibility to order items from a Home Depot or Lowes if we found that we were able to get a product we liked better from these store. Justin's quote included only those items that we wanted him to do. For example, we did the removal of the old cabinets ourselves. However, if we wanted, Justin would have done that breakdown for us. He was willing to work with us to help us save money on this project and we made sure that we were always ahead of Justin on what we wanted to do ourselves. He was flexible with his schedule when I had to move him back on his installation when we found we needed more plumbing & Electrical work than originally anticipated. Because I had scheduled him in advance he was able to accommodate my revised scheduled which delayed him 2 days for installation on his part of the project. While as in any project, you do have unexpected things happen. Another example of Justin's flexibility was the 1/2 bath door that was put on hold. Because of the tight swing, I was not sure a new door which measured 1/8 inch wider than the old door would work like I wanted. He was able to determine that the new door would work so that it allowed for the 1/8 inch we needed for the door to swing open like it did previously and miss the sink. Had it not, then the door would have been return to Carter Lumber since it was a stock item. Justin again completed the project on schedule and on budget. He coordinated everything with Carter Lumber so that all the products were delivered on time and when needed. . Everything was done as quoted on the estimate and he was able to work around the quirks you have with an older home. I would definitely use Justin's company, Odell Construction Inc., again for other projects that are going to come up as my sister & I continue to update my mother's home. Danielle Davidson

I heard great things about Odell Construction Inc. from a friend who had recently used the company for siding replacement on their own house. When I called to have someone come out for an estimate, I was able to speak with the owner himself. He was honest and very helpful in guiding us through the steps we needed to take with our insurance company in order to replace our roof and siding from the hail damage. We ultimately hired Odell Construction Inc. to do both the roof and siding. They finished the work quicker than the time frame we were originally given. The clean up was impeccable, which was really important with having small children outside playing around the house. The crew was very respectful of our property, family, and neighbors. We would definitely hire them again for future projects around the house.
