There are no words to describe how beautiful the floors are that Craig put into our home. The floors take our breath away. They are simply stunning. We suffered a house fire in January 2016 and wanted the floors to look similar to the original hardwood floors. We had some very special angles and wanted them recreated. He successfully recreated what we wanted in our floors and more! Craig worked seamlessly with our restoration manager and did not cause us one bit of worry while the floors were being redone. That alone is priceless. I also found out by accident that Craig is the same person who redid my sister's beautiful floors. She bragged about him for the last three years. When he was at the house working on a Sunday and she stopped by, they discovered it is truly a small world! Craig is a perfectionist, and I am honored that he shared his talents in rebuilding our home. I highly recommend Craig.

Craig and his team were terrific, and we would hire them again in a minute. We talked to a number of flooring companies before we hired Hazelwood, and we are so very glad we chose them. Quality, professionalism, price, punctuality, were all great.

If you need your hardwood floors done, please consider this company. This is a home-grown, family company whose quality of work is as sophisticated as it gets. They were transparent and communicative; they went out of their way to work with us; and they didn't run up the bill because they knew cost was important to us. We undertook lots of research before contracting with anyone, and had multiple estimates. Our goal was to fix up very old, very damaged floors as part of our renovation of our century home, and emphasize the natural historic wood. Craig and Christine really took care of us. They did repairs in the floor that other companies told us were impossible and refused to do. They went out of their way to make sure the repairs matched up with the older parts of the floor. They literally took the time to invent a new stain mixture to make it blend in. They also discovered extra issues with the floor while in-progress, and advised us and consulted with us at every step. This is an old home with no subfloor, in places it was very uneven, and there was profound damage. Now, it is smooth, even, gorgeous, and totally sound. Frankly, we are so into our house that we must have been pain-in-the-butt clients, but this company was never anything but kind and thorough. We also consider them LGBT friendly which is incredibly important for us. They are trustworthy, skilled, and absolute professionals.

The installers from this company did a horrible job. There were 16 different places of the flooring that split and separated. Upon asking the installer to fix these problem sections... he told us that it was the OEMs problem and said it was defective flooring. He asked us to hire an inspector "independant" costing us $400.00. The inspectors report " stated" .. that the floor was not installed to manufactures guidelines or instructions. After the report was presented to Hazelwood floors... the owner refused to fix the problem. We ended up taking Hazelwood floors to small claims court and the judge ruled in our favor and orderd Hazelwood floors to pay or the repairs. Hazelwood floors still has not paid the judgment. Do not use this company... they do NOT warranty their work!!!!!

Did a great job on the floors! They were punctual and finished the job on time. Did an excellent job sanding out a beveled edge on the prefinished floors. Floors came out great! Would just caution regarding price estimate. Company charges a 4% fee to use a credit card and final cost (with credit card charge) was several hundred dollars more then estimate amount due to items that were left off the price quote. In all, very happy with service. They were a very easy company to work with.

Job went well Craig the owner does a lot of the work himself and supervises his workers well enough that everything comes out perfectly.

Made an appt with the company for an estimate. Hazelwood was one of the few companies that I contacted for estimates that did not have a square foot minimum, which was great. I was only having 1 bedroom refinished which fell under the minimums other companies had. The owner came out for the estimate appt, walked me through the process and showed me samples, colors and options I could choose from. He responded in a few days with a quote. I scheduled 2 days for the work to be performed. Unfortunately, one of his employees was in a car accident the week of my appt. Because it was a busy time of year, my appt was pushed back quote a ways. Not the owner's fault necessarily, but an inconvenience to try and arrange my schedule a second time. Once the crew arrived the morning of my scheduled appt, I had no issues. The work was completed, they cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day, there was virtually no dust left from sanding, and the guys were all very pleasant and knowledgeable. The finished floors look fantastic! I will be calling Hazelwood again when I start working on my remaining rooms.

It was great and we are beyond pleased with the results! The entire team of workers were very conscientious and accommodating. Their main goal was for us to be happy for it is a big commitment and we were making quite a radical change. We love it and are recommending Hazelwood to anyone that needs flooring or services.

Couldn't be more pleased with the overall experience. Very professional and honest. Craig came in prepared to outbid his competitors and deliver a superior finished product. I obtained several estimates and Hazelwood Floors was the only company that could provide a confident commitment to patch a 6 in. x 4 ft. area with handcrafted pieces blending with the current floor. Absolutely a flawless integration. His estimate versus actual was right down the middle, as he delivered what he promised. We were very lucky to have found Hazelwood for this project. I had the best experience with Hazelwood Floors. Craig and his helpers arrived on time everyday, were very detail oriented, respectful and answered all of my many questions. I had 2000 sq ft of hardwood floors that hadn't been refinished in 20+ years and were in very bad shape. We needed them done before we could move into our new home and he fit us in at the perfect time. He made a custom stain color for us (we love the grey/white wash look). The job was completed and my floors still are absolutely perfect.

Had original floors refinished from a century home. Scheduling is about 4-5 weeks out. Professional and dedicated workers that arrived early and spent the entire day getting floors ready. Job was completed in about 4 days for 1500sq ft. Estimate was accurate and did not go over amount. Craig is very knowledgeable and easy to work with, results turned out spectacular. Very happy and have already recommended to friends.

We had just purchased our home and were hoping to have the floors refinished prior to moving in while the house was empty. They were in pretty rough shape from previous owners, with some questionable refinishing jobs and a lot of bad animal wear and tear and stains. I contacted a number of companies and was honest about my tight timeline, and got basically no responses - except for Craig from Hazelwood. He responded immediately, was able to meet the next day, and though he was pretty booked up - he still made time for my job, fitting it in over a period of about a week. He and his team were fast, professional, and did a beautiful job. There was one very small issue with finishing the landing on our steps, and it was resolved with no fuss and no arguments. I would recommend Craig and his team to anybody, we are extremely pleased with the results!

As Craig was well into his third day of the installation, I was so impressed by his level of expertise, attention to detail and his work ethic that I decided I wanted to voluntarily write a review of his work and his company! ?He is the consummate professional; arriving when he specified, constantly overseeing other members of his company as they work, and asking throughout the job if we had any questions or concerns about the floor. He worked carefully and diligently, always putting in full days; obviously taking great pride in his work. ?When there were problems with the product we ordered from an outside vendor, and it set the job back, Craig was kind enough to finish the job on his own time so that we could put our house back in order. If we had any questions we needed answered after hours, he quickly and helpfully responded, either through a text or by phone. I have already recommended Hazelwood Floors to two of my acquaintances, as I believe that a company that espouses such integrity, expert work, and customer service is indeed rare in this day and age.

Craig removed the old carpeting, sanded down the parquet floors, applied filler to all the nail holes and gaps, applied a beautiful stain and coated with a protective finish. He did a good job at keeping the mess to a minimum. He was very professional, courteous and hardworking. Sanding these parquet floors was a tough job but they came out beautifully! Everyone has commented on how beautiful the floors are and what a great job he did.

Craig and his team refinished the first and second floors in our 1920s home while the house was occupied. Needless to say, this is not an easy project to do with the owners in residence. They did an excellent job. They communicated well about the schedule, and arrived on time each day. The dust was minimal and they cleaned up well at the end of each day. They handled moving heavy furniture, including a grand piano, and took great care to be sure everything was done right. Craig helped us select the colors for our oak and maple floors and we are happy we went with his suggestions. We got quotes from several refinishers, but Craig impressed us with his willingness to do whatever was needed to make the job successful, as well as with his knowledge of his field. He was recommended to us by a relative for whom he refinished floors, who also highly praised him. We love the end result and have gotten a lot of compliments on the floors.
