Description of Work: He installed granite in our kitchen. He never made a template, was 3 weeks late on install then was mad when he had to come over on thanksgiving day to drill the holes for the faucet. On top of that he delivered chipped and scratched granite and tried to tell my wife that she knew she was going to get chipped granite. He refused to fix it in a satisfactory manner and threatened to put a lien on the house. I would never recommend him to anybody

+ -1 moreAFTER MONTHS OF STALLING, MR OPREAN HAS NEITHER REPLACED THE FORMICA WITH THE GRANITE NOR HAS HE MADE RESTITUTION ON THE BILL PRESENTED TO HIM BY THE FORMICA CONTRACTOR. I HAVE RECEIVED SUBSTANDARD SERVICE WITH SUBSTANDARD RESULTS FROM MR OPREAN DOING BUSINESS AS CATTMAN COMPANY. HE NEVER RESPONDED TO MY WRITTEN REQUEST TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE INCURRED DURING HIS TILE INSTALLATION.
Description of Work: ON MARCH 18, 2005, THE OWNER OF COMPANY, CATALIN OPREAN, INSTALLED RED LIMESTONE TILE AS BACK SPLASH ON KITCHEN WALL. DURING INSTALLATION, MR OPREAN PLACED THE LIMESTONE TILES ON NEWLY INSTALLED FORMICA COUNTERTOPS & SEVERLY SCRATCHED A LARGE AREA. BOTH MR OPREAN & HIS CO-WORKER OBSERVED THESE SCRATCHES & TRIED TO REPAIR THE COUNTERTOP WITHOUT SUCCESS. MR OPREAN WAS GIVEN A BILL FOR REPLACEMENT OF THE COUNTERTOP BY THE CONTRACTOR WHO INSTALLED THE FORMICA. MR OPREAN OFFERED TO REPLACE FORMICA COUNTERTOP WITH GRANITE AT A CONSIDERABLE SAVINGS TO ME.
