We had a mysterious roof leak above our kitchen, only during strong rainstorms and showing up as damp spots in several locations on the kitchen ceiling. Since there is no crawl space between the cathedral-style kitchen ceiling and the roof, it was hard to tell where the water was coming in. The sales rep climbed up on the roof and found a hole in one shingle and some loose areas, and also noticed that one of the gutters seemed to be prone to overflowing. He recommended that we try fixing those minor items first, to see if that solved the problem. We had that "first step" work done. During a strong storm a week or two later, we found that one of the leaking spots seemed to be fixed, but there was still some leaking going on. We called the salesman out again and he came out promptly and spent quite some time on the roof, running a hose and noticing the way the water flowed, to help diagnose the remaining problem. The roofers came out and did the "next step" fix of ripping out, reinforcing, and replacing the shingles in the potential problem areas. When they had the shingles off, they noted that the subroof had some water stains in that area and thus there seemed to be a good chance that this work would fix our leak. True enough, we've had a couple strong storms since the second "step" of work was done, and the leak seems to be gone. On both their visits, the roofers showed up very promptly at the appointed time, worked quickly and efficiently, and cleaned up completely. They also managed to match our existing roof very closely with the replacement shingles. We're very happy with their neat and professional work.

Scott came at the specified time, showed me what the problem was and had an estimate to me later that day. He advised it would be approximately 1-2 weeks before the repair could be made, weather willing and he met that time frame. The guys that came to do the work were very nice, didn't bother me (I work from home) and they did a good job cleaning up when they were done. I got a call from the office the next day to make sure I was satisfied. I think the price was fair and I'd definitely do business with them again.

They showed me the problem instead of just telling me what they were going to do. They took photos to show me. What they showed me was consistent to what others told me needed to be fixed. Their estimate was half of what other companies estimated.

Was advised by woman who answered the phone that there would be a fee of $200 dollars since I did not own the home. Advised woman that the type of loan that I was obtaining required me to obtain three estiamtes for work that needed to be done on the home. The woman advised me that she was instructured that the company charged a fee for any estimates that were used as "leverage" in purchasing a home. Advised the woman that the estimate I was requiring was not a deciding factor the roof was inspected by an home inspector and was advised that the tiles needed to be replaced. Advised woman would write this up on Angie's List. Woman said ok and hung-up.

The roofing company was responsive, punctual, and professional. However, they had been messy. They had thrown some shingles down and broke some of our shrubs. I would tell them ahead of time and make sure they don't do that if I was going to use them for a big job. I had to pay their minimum fees. I have no idea about the quality of their work because I can't go up there and look at it.

Kudos to Kim in the office for spending so much time sending me addresses so that I could see the shingle color before I chose. Sales rep was very knowledgeable and went through the whole process with me including lots of literature explaining everything. Crew was ontime and very polite. They made sure that all my landscaping was protected and moved hanging plants. Job done in 1-1/2 days and they cleaned up so well I have never seen a single nail in the yard. Put my hanging hooks and plants back exactly where they had been before. Roof looks great. Every edge has been finished precisely and neatly. They did a great job!!!

My only real complaint was that they were occasionally a little slow at answering calls. From start to finish, they were very professional, did exceptional work, and explained everything they were going to do in detail. The price came in higher than other estimates, but I honestly think it was because they were doing it the right way. Also, the charge ended up being what they quoted, so I was happy. I feel confident I couldn't have picked a better company, and the work they did looks outstanding. They cleaned up very well, worked quickly, and didn't miss any detail.

The salesman was very informative as he explained their procedures and described materials (ice guard and roof ridge vent) and warranty. He provided much helpful information that other contractors did not. Brad Smith's men tore off three layers of old roofing, replaced some of the wood, laid down ice guard, prepared for the vent and hand-nailed the shingles. They worked quickly and steadily. They protected our flower gardens and cleaned up after themselves. They also helped us with another task without charge. We had a specific week in mind for the work to be done and they were able to accommodate us.

They had the majority of the work completed in one day. Josh was wonderful from the start to end with explaining everything. The crew was great and they worked really hard. It was a big job and they were 98% done in one day. One guy came back the next day to finish up a small amount of shingling and some flashing. I would recommend this company to anyone. I changed the color of my roof and was very nervous about it, Josh helped me pick colors that would look good. They then provided me with houses they had done in the colors so I could go and look at them. The color is great. Also, they explained why my current roof failed and explained what I could do to prevent it from happening again. They will do the job right without trying to sell you things you don't need. Also, Kim in the office was great with coordinating with me a date to have the roof replaced. We were on vacation when they wanted to do the work, Kim made sure we had time to get home and unpacked before scheduling the work. Thanks to everyone at Brad Smith Roofing.

They did an excellent job with the shingle repair, but I told them to use an oil base paint and they didn?t so I have to have it repainted this year.

In the past, I had tried fixing the roof leak by myself, without any success. So, I called Brad Smith Roofing Co. They couldn?t make it until 5 weeks later, as there was a major windstorm. When they finally arrived, they did a quick estimate and told me what was involved. They gave me a premature description of what they were going to do and provided me with a cost estimate. They came on the scheduled day and they did what they had said they would do. I haven?t had any problem with the roof, ever since. So, I am completely satisfied. I already have an appointment with them for a leak fix in a different part of my house.

Their masonry work was outstanding. They have done a good job. They are yet to do the roofing for my house. They were professional and responsive.

The workers were on time and polite. They worked the job until completed and then cleaned up after themselves. They even swept the neighbor's driveway. I am totally happy with my experience!

They tore up the old roof and replaced it with a new one. They also had to break some catwalks that run up the side of our house. Their sales representative was pretty knowledgeable. He was a person who knew about and had done roofing. He knew the material. He did not try to sell us things that we did not need. He made the necessary recommendations but did not pressurize us to follow them. He did not scare us. He just listed out the various options. They were not the cheapest but they seemed the most honest with what we needed to be done on our roof. I am pretty familiar with what needs to be done on a roof and I understood what needed to be done. They were the closest to telling me what I already knew. They were quick in getting back to us. I learnt about this company through the home improvement show. They gave us a very accurate quote for the roofing job. However, when we asked them for a quote to do the repair works on the catwalks, they were not able to give us a quote upfront until the carpenters came and took a look at it. They faxed us the revised quote which had the price estimate but did not have an estimate of the number of hours it would take to do the job. The job was to be paid for on an hourly basis. I had made a rough guess and the time they actually took to do the job was close. It fit into our budget. It delayed getting the job cleared because I did not want to sign off on the estimate until I had a better idea of how much it was going to cost. If I had received a consolidated estimate earlier, I could have made a quicker and more informed decision.

They were meticulous in their work, cleaned up after and even put the hose back where it belonged. An outstanding job!!!

Extremely well. The salesman, Josh, brought us half a dozen of each of five shingle colors; we nailed two of them on the roof to see them in place before making our decision. We tentatively scheduled the job about 2-3 weeks in advance; they called us 2-3 days before their desired date and, that being acceptable to us, came on that date. They did the job in one day. They took a lot of care to protect our plantings and to pick up waste and debris after the job. They used a magnet to clear the driveway of nails.

They did it very well. They cleaned up thoroughly. I would recommend them to others.

It was a horrible experience. They were not professional and the crew was obnoxious. The owner of the company was very rude and inconsiderate. He didn?t seem to care about anything that we had to discuss with him. He tended to make it look like we were the whining and complaining kind. We had lodged a complaint to the Better Business Bureau regarding this, and we would not use them again.

Everything went well. They were pretty busy but managed to work me in when they could. It was a busy time around here, but everything turned out just fine.

Went great, they started as I was leaving for work in the morning and when I came home the roof was done. Gutters were done a couple of days later. Cleanup was great and they did not trample my tender spring flowering plants.

The company was prompt in contacting me and figuring an estimate even though the project was a relativley small job ($2000). Rain delayed the start of the job however I was kept fully informed of the delay. At the finish of the job, the crew completly cleaned the area including blowing off the patio. Oversight was maintained by the owner who was on sight several times throughout the day.

I had another guy look at it and quote $75, this company quoted me over $500.

They were very responsive, arrived promptly and worked hard to get the job done.

Excellent. They really do "hand nail" everything. They worked two days on the hottest days of the year, last July, 2008, on our roof. They installed the new roof, replaced one section of plywood to fix a hole, added 3 bathroom vents (that the original home builder never installed), enhanced the ice protection at a slope intersection with my approval (minor charge added). It was messy during the process - tear off is scary. But they did clean up everything. Since then (months later) I've found only a handful of nails.

Brad Smith Roofing is honest and trustworthy. He went out of his way to be reasonable. He could have charged me more but he didn't.
