+ 0 moreOverall, it went well. I mean, it was disappointing to learn of all the additional work that needs to be done, but that doesn't have anything to do with them. They did what was asked of them, and also went beyond that. They were polite, professional, and did not leave a mess at all.
Description of Work: I have a 3 bedroom ranch home with a finished basement. They cleaned and sanitized all of the air ducts on the supply side of the system - not the return side. The return ducts are old and suspect - they look to be made of a paper-like material and may contain asbestos. Disturbing any of that could have just released all of the fibers back into the supply side, which would then be distributed throughout the house. To make sure that that wouldn't happen, they disconnected the return vents from the system and I am currently using an open return system until I have the returns replaced. Ahh, the joys of an old house. They also cleaned the dryer vent, free of charge. In addition, they attempted to clean the blower motor in the furnace (not their job), which is caked in dirt. They were not able to clean it as well as they would have liked, and referred me to someone who could. I would say that they did a quality job for the money, and I would refer them to anyone looking to have this service done.

+ -1 moreRick gave me an estimate over the phone after he questioned me about how many rooms I had and how many air ducts I had. My house is a 3 bedroom ranch with a partially finished basement. He came to the house when he had said he would and got right to work. It took 3 hours to clean and sanitize the air ducts and dryer vent. Because I had never had this done before, I didn't know what to expect. The upstairs did not get dirty, but there was some dirt in the basement which he cleaned up.
Description of Work: Air ducts were cleaned and sanitized. The dryer vent was cleaned. The company website really explained what was going to happen, and he did the job just as described.

I was able to make a quick appointment and 2 days later they came at the exact time they said they would and did a great job in about 3.5 hrs. The quality of air now is much better. Great company and very informative web site as well.
Description of Work: Cleaned air ducts throughout the entire house. They took off all vent panels, cleaned around them then snaked through the ducts with a whip. After that they blocked all the vents and created a vacuum throughout the ducts and sucked all the dust and dirt out.

+ -1 moreExcellent experience. We recently moved into this new home. It appeared that the previous owners were not completely into cleaning :-) The house was built in 2003 and I knew that the original construction "dirt" was still present in the ducts. To prove this point, Rick pulled out a 1-foot piece of the downstairs hard wood floors from a return. It is amazing what construction crews will leave in a house! Rick did an excellent job. His method is flawless and the air-powered brush ensures that all dirt is removed from the vents. This is a top-notch operation.
Description of Work: Cleaned and sanitized all returns and vents in a 3100 square foot house. Additionally, cleaned the dryer vent at no charge.

Description of Work: I bought a condo recently that was built in 2004. Had an unusual problem with the venting from the dryer...seems the builder took a shortcut and made the piping fit between 2 x 4's & drywall by making pipe smaller, thus not locking like it should. Then the openings were covered with duct tape. I was getting a lot of lint build up in my basement. He had to cut out drywall to get to the improperly installed pipe/air duct and re-do it the right way. It was an odd job.

Gave me a price on the phone and explained the extras his company provides. For Angie's List customers, he throws in the dryer vent cleaning at no extra cost. The crew (Ron and Justin) were professional and courteous. The work was performed on the day agreed, in the time predicted and at the price quoted.

+ -1 moreGreat experience. Rick provided a quote over the phone and came out and did the work himself on New Years Eve. He was actually able to get a clogged duct back into working order, removing things such as shoes, shirts, glass which had been thrown down the vent. I had been warned that having the ducts cleaned could be extremely messy, but this was far from that. Very clean and very professional. I will definately recommend Rick to friends and family.
Description of Work: Provided a full cleaning of the home's heating and return ducts, as well as the dryer vent.

They were professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. They took time to protect our hard wood floors and carpeting and cleaned up when the job was completed. We are very happy with the work done by Advance Air Duct Cleaning.
Description of Work: Advanced Air Duct Cleaning did a full system clean. They cleaned all supplies and returns, hand cleaned the register covers, cleaned the furnace blower motor, burners, and A/C coil, as well as cleaned our dryer vent.

After i walked them through the house to show them where the vents were, they were in and out in two hours. Very polite, quick, and efficient.

I spoke with Rick who explained what they would do, how they would do it and he answered any questions I had to my satisfaction. They arrived on time,were quick to get to work and finished in a very timely manner without any mess. Rick even called to follow up and make sure the job was done to my satisfaction. I would hire him again and refer him to anyone.

+ -1 moreRick arrived on time (he had even called the day prior to confirm the appointment) and proceeded to thoroughly clean my dryer duct using the company's patented 'Dust Whip Cleaning' system. He first turned on my dryer and went outside to check the air flow. He stated that it was minimal (I assumed this since my dryer was being less and less efficient). He proceeded with the cleaning and then reassembled the dryer venting and re-situated the dryer. He thoroughly cleaned up after himself and even left the exterior surface of the dryer cleaner than before he arrived. The dryer now dries clothes in half the time. I am very pleased with the work done. I had used this company 4 years earlier for the same task and would use them again.
Description of Work: Rick cleaned my clothes dryer duct cleaned. This is a very long duct that runs through the ceiling from my laundry room, through my family room to the outside of the house.
