+ -1 moreI decided to replace my 11-year-old A/C and furnace for higher efficiency models after my A/C coil began leaking. I obtained three estimates, of which Westin Air was the lowest. Cathy, the sales person, was very personable, and, I felt, gave me good advice on selecting new equipment. Though, the other two companies with which I worked were very competent as well. If Cathy did not know the answer to a question, she would find out and then follow-up with me. At the time of the installation, Westin decided to send three technicians instead of the usual two to complete the job in one day rather than one and a half because an extra person was available. The technicians were friendly, worked diligently, and finished the work quicker than I expected. I felt that they did a nice job. Westin conveniently completed the paperwork for me for the utility company rebate and for the Trane warranty. Westin even provided a more expensive Trane programmable thermostat in place of their original choice at no cost after I expressed interest in the Trane model. I definitely recommend this company.

Description of Work: This company is AWESOME! They came out to our house and repaired where all the floor vents had pulled away from the pipes below. It was a long and tedious job. We had over other companies out who would either not do it or where going to have to rip up the floor. I cannot tell you how pleased we were. All the people we spoke with in the office when describing the problem were so nice. Lori at the office who I spoke to several times was always wonderful! So please!

+ -1 moreOur system was still working fine but we felt that after 25 years our Trane system was due to be replaced and we choose to do it during warmer weather. We only had two service calls during this 25 year span, one for the furnace and one for the AC. We had three companies come out and provide estimates. I was ready to go with the first company but thought it wouldn't hurt to get another, this company was good also. Westin Air, the third company I called clearly was the best. They did everything they said they would in a timely and professional manner.
Description of Work: Installed new furnace, AC, & humidifier replacing our 25 year old equipment.

+ -1 moreThe system wasn't cooling off the upper level of my home correctly so that is what I called Westin for. The technician came out and stated that I had loss of cooling capacity because of a blockage in my coil. He also stated that he wanted to remove the coil and run the system without the coil in to see if the coil was causing the issues. If so, then we would need to replace the coil and that would cost $1000! Well, I decided I didn't want to spend that money at this point and held off on the new coil. I then you called the original install company (from 12 years ago) to get a second opinion. That technician came out and took a look at everything and said that the filter was good and blower was working properly. He added a bit of freon and that was basically it! So he never mentioned any issue with the coil at all or anything else for that matter. Basically, I believe that Westin Air was just trying to get my money. I will never use Westin again, nor recommend them.

+ -1 moreHighly recommend this company. They found time to quickly get us on the schedule, when it was in the middle of a week of 90+ degree days. Efficiently tested and located the problem which was a blown capacitor. He was professional and answered my questions as he showed me what the issue was that caused the problem. Thoroughly checked system to make sure we were good to go after replacing capacitor. Reasonable charge for their services. The guy that came out (Seth) was great to deal with. Will keep their name in case of future needs or for referal for friends.
Description of Work: Heat pump was not working. Performed a service call to detect cause of issue and repair the problem.

+ -1 moreThis was a great experience from start to finish. Cathy, the saleswoman was very cooperative and worked around my schedule to make sure the system was installed on Saturday. I got other estimates and Westin Air saved me $925 from the other competitor. The installers showed up a few minutes early and got right to work. They were clean, courteous and did a nice job. They cleaned up after they were done and showed me he work and asked if I had any questions or concerns. Don't even look elsewhere. This is the company you want to do business with for an AC. I will be using them to do my seasonal service.

+ -1 moreI contacted Westin Air for an estimate and they came over the next day to walk through my home and give me options for an A/C and Furnace for my home. My old A/C unit was not functioning well and the furnace was working but aging. Cathy was wonderful and helpful from start to finish, she walked me through the options for an individual A/C only and then as a package with a furnace. She offered different brands in different price ranges for me to choose from. She also performed a Heat Gain/ Loss Calculation for my home and determined my old unit was undersized which also contributed to my cooling issues. On the day of installation, the two installers were excellent. They walked us through the process and were very knowledgable. The installation took about a day and a half to complete and went very well. This is a very good company and I would recommend them highly.

Description of Work: After researching several companies and meeting with two about a new furnace and air conditioning unit, my husband and I decided to give our business to Westin Air. The Sales Representative, Cathy Shankland, was very nice and any questions we had that she was not 100% sure about she consulted with one of the owners or an installer. She was also patient, as I am the type of person who asks a lot of questions. Cathy was very accommodating because I insisted a NATE-certified installer be present when the furnace and a/c were installed. Cathy represented the company extremely well and we were pleased to work with her. On the day of the installation, the installers (one NATE-certified!) arrived promptly and were very polite and professional. At one point a third person arrived to assist also. They had quite a time removing some of the equipment from our basement, but were determined to succeed, which they did. During the whole time they were in our home they worked hard, were polite and professional and friendly. They cleaned up after the job was completed. All in all, a very pleasant experience. We love our new furnace and a/c. We would recommend this company and their products to anyone. One last comment - a few days after the installation, Wes Shankland came to the house to inspect the work done. I really appreciated that, even though the installers did an excellent job. I worry about carbon monoxide and he put those fears to rest by testing for leaks. Very thorough.

I requested an appointment for the next day and Wes showed up on time, ready to go. I was provided with information with no sales pressure. The installers showed up on time and were courteous and professional. They warned me before I may hear or smell any possible noises or smells when they were testing the furnace. They cleaned up after themselves and the new system in a warm house is the only way I could tell they were there. I would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

They were very professional. Since we were converting from electric to gas heat, a new line was needed and Westin Air was very accomodating and helpful when working with Columbia gas as well as our local zoning officer. We would be happy to use them in the future.

Representative contacted me within minutes and came next day to discuss requirements and costs. She (Cathy) was very friendly and knowledgeable and responsive. Previous company reps were cold and less "interested". Cathy knew of some discounts available through AEP that first company didn't mention. I contracted with Cathy and in a few days installers came and replaced entire system. They were friendly, efficient, and professional and did entire job in one day. Left work area clean and removed all old parts. I needed help with thermostat the next day and a gentleman was here within a couple hours to solve the problem. I was very satisfied with the entire experience and feel like a valued client. Highly recommend company.

There were no high pressure sales tactics, just good information and a range of options, based upon our needs. Although the price might seem high at first glance, for the equipment we bought and had installed, a 95% efficiency furnace, a 20 SEER AC unit, and a high efficiency water heater, Westin's price was comparable to estimate we got from other companies for less energy-efficient equipment. The installation was flawless. Everyone showed up on time, knew what they were doing, and worked hard throughout the two days it took to get everything installed correctly and properly adjusted. They cleaned up after themselves, leaving no mess behind, and even fixed a small problem with our dryer vent (at no extra charge) that they discovered while they were installing the furnace. Great company! We would definitely use this company again and enthusiastically recommend them.

+ -1 moreI was having company for dinner after work. When I arrived home, it was clear that the AC was not working efficiently. It was one of our hottest days in the summer, and the first two companies I called were not able to come until the next day or two. When I called Westin Air, he told me he would contact his serviceman to see if he could make it that evening, and that he would call me back within the next half an hour. He promptly called me back within that time frame and told me when to anticipate the service call. The service technician was at my door within the hour. He diagnosed the problem, replaced the part, and made sure that it was functioning and cooling things down. They rescued my dinner plans!
