The owner came out. He was very nice, professional and on time. They performed the service he said he would do. Gave options and recommendation.

Dissapointed in the attitude of the scheduler

They arrived and quickly troubleshot where clog was and had it freed in minutes. They cleaned up and minimized water in our kitchen while working.

Excellent service. Highly recommend company and will use again.

Just a service call - had been fixed

I called on Mon morning and Drainworks came by later that afternoon within the 2-hour time window they designated. Jeff was polite, friendly, and got right to work (and considerately took his shoes off at the door). The clog was far down the drain so it took a few minutes. He tested the drain well and gave helpful advice about how to avoid clogged kitchen drains. I would call Drainworks again.

Great. I called and they were able to send someone out that day. He arrived at exactly the stated time and opened the clogged line. The line connecting out home to the city sewer line was clogged with tree roots from our tree and he was able to cut out th roots. He let me know that there really isn't anything to do to prevent this and that I should plan on doing this every few years, which is good to know.

The uniformed person arrived within the appointed time frame (3 to 5 pm appt., arrived at ~3:45pm). He evaluated the cause of the water pooling around my lowest drain. Sewer from house to street was cleared of tree roots. He also informed me of how to prevent re-occurrence of the problem.

Overall communication was lousy from the office personel and their page on Angies List. I researched this category on Angies List and came up with three companies with A ratings. NONE of them including this company stated that they charged for coming out to do estimates. Also, when my wife called to set up the appointment, Rob, who handled the call never told her there was a charge. Hence, since no one else charged for this, how were we to know there would be a charge? We would not have scheduled an appointment if we knew they were going to charge $95 for it. When the my wife called Rob to protest that she was not made aware that there was a charge, his response was "there must have been miscommunication". Thats it. Unfortunately, my wife paid the $95. I certainly understand that it is a company's prerogative to charge for coming out to do estimates, but they should say so on their Angies List page and most definitely tell you when you make an appointment. This is very disappointing and makes me question whether I can trust Angies List ratings.

Were prompt and professional. Described the work that needed to be done and what problems they could run into (we have two large trees and there can be root problems). Used our electricity and hose and put everything neatly back into place and did not disturb our landscaping. We have used them several years ago and will definitely use them again.

I feel if they really needed my business they should have returned my phone call. When you call someone about a drain issue, you normally have a problem that you need resolved. I was not wasting mine or their time.

Servicer quickly responded to request to repair stopped up drainage line leading from basement sump pump. Servicer used an underground camera to determine repair requirements and provided an estimate for $875 and suggested I think it over. The estimate seemed fair, so I immediatley accepted it and scheduled the repair. I was then advised that the estimate did not include 'todays' call and that the service charge to prepare the estimate was $185. I paid the $185 but was somewhat uncomfortable in that nothing was actually accomplished by the call and I had assumed the estimate was for the total charges. The repair was completed in July. I was on vaaction from June 27 to July 17, so the bill was in the mail when I returned. The bill was for $1,075, which is $200 more than the estimate. There was a charge for $200 for a 20' pipe. We had dicussed a new pipe during the estimate and diagnosos process. I had understood the pipe was included in the estimte. In summary, I have been charged a total of $1,260.00 to replace a 20 ' drainage pipe. I beleive I was misled on the cost for this service.

They are very prompt and courteous. They don?t try to push anything, but do share what services they offer. They did a good job. I would hire them again and we have actually used them a couple times.

I thought my main drain to the street was clogged. I had that cleared a year or so earlier, but thought there might be some problem or maybe a bad job was done. Shawn had to check the main drain and it way okay. He checked further and found it was the drain from upstairs to the main drain. He cleared it. Now everything's great!

I called on a Friday, late in the day & arranged an APPOINTMENT (!) for 9-10:00AM the following Monday. Shawn called at 8:55 to say he was on his way. Within 1/2 hr., the drain was running clear & Shawn was on his way - after CLEANING UP any mess! CAN'T BEAT THAT!!!

Went great. He came Friday, but I had not cleared around the 2nd sewer cap so he had to come back Saturday. Not upset in the least, didn't charge me for stopping in on Friday. He has a "camera snake" to find the problem, locate it exactly and hopefully that will minimize the digging and the cost of replacing the broken tile. His video equipment can burn a dvd, and upon my request he ran the camera back through and recorded it for me.

very well. this is an older home, so some of the plumbing is "creatively" routed; Shawn also mentioned that disposals were not intended for older plumbing, so judicious use of it is recommended. Compost whenever possible.

Great experience -- no issues. Showed up on time, had the right equipment and quickly got the job done. Very courteous and professional. I've used them before and will again.

Incredible customer service experience!

We had 2 bath tub drains that were draining very slowly. He explained how to fix the problem in the future and only charged for one tub because he did not have to snake the drains. He was polite, on time, and fast.

I called Drainworks in the AM and got an appointment, at a specific time of my choosing, that afternoon. Shawn arrived 5-10 minutes early. He was very caring, professional and knowledgeable and we discussed the potential problem for a bit which I appreciated since I had had this problem before and other service companies before. He brought in his equipment and got to work and was neat, tidy and considerate. He provided useful information. He cleaned out the main drain line. The price was very reasonable. I would recommend this company!

I was very impressed with his tenacity and determination to figure out the problem. When I got my gutters and downspouts replaced, one of the downspouts was not inserted back into the pipe that was supposed to go to the street. Apparently, the gutter installers "missed" the pipe and just placed the downspout into the ground. My gutter cleaner discovered the downspout would not drain, but we did not know why. Drainworks painstakingly mapped all the backyard pipes, dug around all the downspouts, and finally found the pipe approximately 1 ft. away from the downspout. After this diagnosis, I was able to have my roofer send the gutter people out to put a curved pipe in to connect the downspout to the pipe (which, of course, should have been done when the new downspouts were installed).

It was an excellent experience. First of all, their price was quite competitive. The owner, Jeff, was very helpful and very flexible as to how the job would be done. We wanted the new drain lines routed a certain way, and while one of the other companies that we initially contacted were hesitant to do that, Jeff said it would be no problem. The two workmen they sent out were extremely professional and friendly. They completed the job in a very workmanlike fashion. They used a special sod remover, and once the new larger drain line had been routed to the street, and the sod replaced, you could hardly tell that they had ever been there. The entire experience was just very positive from initial call and contact all the way through to completion. I would recommend them highly.

The company returned my call promptly and the appointment was scheduled for the next morning. The technician took the pipes apart and drained the water/cleared out the pipes. He was polite and professional. I was pleased with the company and their work.

They responded the same day, no estimate was asked for just needed to clear the clog. Jeff diagnosed the problem and its cause and had it unclogged in under an hour. He also advised on how to minimize the chance of a reoccurrence.
