Suburban Door

Excellent. He showed up promptly and on time, was courteous and made fast work of a dangerous and difficult task. He charged exactly the price of his estimate. Couldn't have asked for better.

Great. He returned by call same day and completed with in an hour or so of arriving, about four hours later that day.

Called him about 9:30 in the morning. He had some other jobs, he said, but could get to my house about 2pm. At 1:45 he called to say he was on his way and by 3 he was done. I never actually spoke with him face-to-face because I couldn't leave my work, but that wasn't a problem. He completed the job and left his bill with the babysitter. Gave a "B" on price because I didn't ask for an estimate ahead of time, and have never had this service before, so I didn't really think I could give and "A" A "C" didn't seem appropriate because I was satisfied with the work and felt my money was well spent.

It went fine! Called him on easter day and he came at 8 am the next morning. I thought the spring counter balance was broken but it turned out to be chains connecter to the garage door opener. He fixed that issue (glad he fixed what was wrong and not what I thought) and realigned the garage door track and lubricated all moving parts. The alignment the track was cause of the failure of the door.

Easily set up an appointment, came on time and performed a good service. Very professional.

Our one spring broke on the door and I called Jim, he was very prompt in calling me back. He was also very accommodating to our schedule. He replaced both springs because when one breaks the other is sure to follow. He also had a key pad available to install and this was very nice because we could not find one to meet our needs in the general hardware stores (on this key pad one can make a one time temporary code) and it also can be used with the third car garage as well.

Great! Jim was the only one that call me back immediately and was able to fix it the same day. When I compared his price to his competitors, he seemed about $25 higher. Thus, I rated B for the price.

I unwittingly ran into my garage door and knocked it off its track, and couldn t get it up or down. He came out the same day, and he was very responsive. He fixed it promptly, and it seemed like a reasonable cost.

He cleaned everything up. He has a very good price compared to others. He is very professional. He knows what he is doing. I would recommend him to anyone.

I phoned first thing in the morning to see if Jim could repair my broken door. One of the springs had broken and Jim said it was best to replace both or we'd be seeing him again within a short period of time. He was at my house by noon and repaired the door quickly and efficiently.

I called the first a rated company that was closest on the list. My door was jamming 3/4 open. Jim came out within 2 hours of my call and had the whole thing done in an hour. They provided an estimate over the phone, but the work actually cost less than the original estimate. Not only did they repair the spring, but they explained how and why it happened. They were very personable and friendly.

I don't remember the exact price, but it was very reasonable. The experience was exceptional. They were efficient and personable. I will definitely use them in the future.

He checked the system and gave me advice on how to read the eye sensor and utilize the system better. I was very impressed with his professionalism and work ethic.

I called on a Friday morning and Jim returned my call and said he could get there Saturday morning to repair the door. He showed up at 8:00 as planned and replaced both springs. The door worked great when he was done.

Great. Responded to initial phone call quickly, diagnosed problem, offered very competitive price, answered questions, fixed door fast, answered different question a day later, fixed that problem for free over the phone.

Jim came out to my house to take a look at the garage door and found that one of the torsion springs was completely broke and needed to be replaced, which is what caused the door to fall down. He also recommended replacing the other spring because it appeared to be an original ( 15 years old) and may break soon, especially when paired with the new spring he was installing. He was not pushy in mentioning that the other should be replaced. Jim did not have the appropriate track to replace the bent track, but ran back to his shop to get track that fit (no extra charge). Also, Jim tightened all garage door screws and even replaced a cotter pin that the previous owner had rigged up with a bent nail. Several months later the door began to slip down again, not all the way, but my wife could barely fit her car in under the door. I called Jim and he came out the next day to tighten the spring at no charge. He mentioned that sometimes the extreme cold can cause new springs to need adjusting.

This was a very positive experience. At 3PM on Good Friday, I realized that I couldn't get into my garage because the spring had broken. I called Jim, and much to my surprise and delight, he said he would still be able to fix my problem that day. He arrived at my home around 5:30 on Friday evening and replaced the springs within 30 minutes.

They are very honest and get the work done in a timely manner. They charge a reasonable price for their work.

Jim arrived a little early (I consider that a plus); assessed the job at hand and immediately started to work. He accomplished the installation and more, in just two and a half hours... a job that would have taken me the day. He is very thorough and knowledgeable in his profession. He is very systematic and makes everything look easy to do.

The guy was very helpful on the phone. Couldn't decide to repair or replace. I ended up deciding to get a new system. He actually recommended I get one from the hardware store or he would sell me one as well - he would do the installation. I did end up purchasing it through the hardware store and he installed it. He was pleasant, prompt, he was able to do it on very short notice.

Jim returned our call for an estimate within two days, came within 2 days to make the estimate and returned the following day to perform the work. He also called the morning that he had said he would come to confirm his coming at that time. He repaired the door (adjusting tracks, oiling rollers) and the door is now easily lifted and closed with one hand, requiring no "tugging". He showed us how to do routine maintenance in terms of keeping the rollers lubricated, and gave us specifications for buying an automatic door assembly (to replace the one that has not worked in this home for over twenty years). He indicated when would be a good time to buy a door in terms of finding a good sale price and gave us an estimate for his cost for installing. We are extremely pleased Jim's responsiveness, skills, and openness in discussing our options. Finally we think the price paid was quite reasonable for the time he spent making repairs and adjustments. We will call Jim again.
