Suburban Door

our 15 year old opener stopped working. Another company said they would not repair a unit that old. Suburban Door repaired it the same day. It was great to come home from work to have it fixed! He also fixed the light on the push button which had been wired incorrectly, at no additional cost. We will definately call Suburban Door the next time.

They were fine. We bought a box and they installed for a flat fee.

He picked up the phone right away, offered to come out the same afternoon, diagnosed the problem in 30 seconds, and had it fixed on 30 minutes! The best.

We have used Suburban Door in years past and will continue to. I would highly recommend.

They came out to look at our broken garage door, and told us that we were better off buying a new one than paying to repair our very old one. They did not charge us for the first trip out. They came back several weeks later to install the new one that we purchased ourselves. Their service personnel was punctual, professional, and courteous. The installation was completed in short time, and we have not had any problems. We would recommend them without reservation.

Called to schedule an appt. thinking it would be later in the week. Jim called back and was in the area and could work us in. Great guy, good service, very straight forward. Jim has worked on several properties in our neighborhood and was recommended to us (as well as a good rating on Angie's).

I can't say enough about the service! I called yesterday after 4 and they were here at 8:30 this morning. The service call was to orginally replace a broken spring, but so much more was done! We have ahad issues with the garage door going up on its own unsure of why. The sensors were moved to fix the problem As a final thought we decided to have a key pad put in. This was not a problem. At the end of the appointment Jim showed me everything he did. We will definitely use Suburban Door again.

This is the second time we use Suburban Door because it is always reliable and great value. I called Jim and left a message, he called me right back and he was available as soon as possible. Once I figured a good time and day, he showed up on time, always corteous, and very promptly figured out what was wrong with my garage door, and fixed it at a very low price. I will always hire Jim to fix our garage doors, he is great.

We called three Angie's list members for quotes. Suburban Door was our middle-priced quote. We chose them because of the quality and price of the garage door offered and felt that Jim, the owner, would be honest and reliable. Jim gave us color samples, brochure, and warranty information. Jim followed through on all conversations and the garage doors were installed neatly and on time.

A very good experience. I called Jim and instantly contacted our renters. The next morning the job was done at a reasonable cost. I will use his services again if needed.

Our garage door was misbehaving, but only sporadically. It goes up without a problem, but sometimes, when putting it down, it stops near the top or midway and won't close all the way no matter what we do. I called Jim. He returned my call within a few hours and we scheduled an appointment for the next day. He arrived when promised and called just before he came, as I had asked him to do. Of course, when he was at the house, the door behaved properly. However, he took a look at the sensors at the sides and determined that they were not lined up properly and they were being activated, possibly even by the vibration of the door! I also asked him about installing a keypad outside. He had one on the truck that worked (even though this brand of door isn't available in the Columbus area anymore) and installed it within a few minutes. He wasn't here more than a half hour and he only charged me for the new keypad (no charge for labor at all!) I will definitely call him again if we have further problems with the garage door.

I called Suburban Door in the morning and they were able to come out the same day. Jim called to let me know he was on his way before the appointment and was here within half an hour of the appointment time. He explained what was wrong with the door and repaired both coils and the sensors. He's a nice man, thorough and professional. I would call him again.

Our garage door faces south, with western exposure. Lots of sun in the afternoon, but Jim assured us it was in excellent condition for its age (44 years) and was pleasantly surprised as how well it is holding up. The neighbor two doors down the same layout and his door is in pieces. The invoice was lying on the inside (to the house) steps and Jim is on his vacation! He fit us in on his last day prior to a long vacation, and the peace of mind is wonderful as we heard some "funny" noises, etc. All is much quieter and we are very happy. This is customer service above and beyond, and very refreshing to find in this day and age.

Jim's installer came out the following week, he was right on time. He said it would take about 3 hours to install, it took about 2:45, everything was cleaned up, and he explained how to program the keypad. I was very happy overall. I have since referred my neighbor and co-workers.

The job went very well. Surburban was easy to contact, available, on-time and thorough.

Excellent experience. They were willing to work around my schedule. Set an appointment for 8 AM and they were punctual. Work took about 45 minutes. They even performed lubrication on the other garage door free of charge when they noticed it was making a lot of noise.

I didn't know that the gears could be replaced, so I purchased a new opener and called Jim at 8 am Monday morning to ask about an installation. He asked about the nature of the problem and offered to come straightaway to replace them for slightly more than the price of the installation. He was there by 9 and finished the work and left by 10. No complaints.

Jim came out on a Saturday and adjusted the weight on the door, which fixed the problem immediately. He didn't even charge us for this.

My garage door opener was over 17 years old and die on a cold snowy friday. I called that morning to explain my issues and they said they would be out that afternoon so I wouldn't have to wait until Monday. It was decided I needed a new garage door opener so they suggested it would be cheaper to purchase my own from Lowe's and they would install it for $120. I did just that and using my 10% Angie's List coupon it came to $108. I am extremely happy with their service and Kris, the installer was professional, punctual, and quick! Not to mention, I am grateful to have my car back in the working garage during the snow!

One of our garage door springs broke and needed to be replaced. Had a little difficulty scheduling the time for estimate and repair but that was due to my availability too. Thought we might have to replace the entire grage door opener but they diagnosed the problem right away. Estimate was fair and included replacement of both springs. They had the replacement parts on their truck and finished quickly and efficiently. The garage door works great now...Thanks!

Excellent work! On time and very professional. The project went from a simple replace garage door opener coil to installation of an entire new garage door system. Worked non-stop to get the project finished that same morning. Gave various service and pricing options. I am quite pleased with their work and professionalism.

I called suburban door on a Wednesday and left a message for a call back on an estimate. Jim called me back in about 20 minutes. I told him the issues we were having and he came later that day to give me an estimate. We thought we were going to have to replace the garage door, but Jim said he could add the struts and fix the door. Chris came Thursday and fixed the door while we were at work and it works great. Would definitely use Suburban Door again.

I left a message on 10/26 and 10/27. They never called back.
