I got a 10% discount because of Angie?s List. I think he did a good job but not an excellent job. He came to give me an estimate and I had to make a decision within 30 days but I unexpectedly went into the hospital for a week then recovered at home. They came on a Saturday which worked well for me and I appreciated that. My only complaint is that they had to remove a few heavy, ornamental things but they didn?t replace them once the seal dried. Other than that, I was really pleased with their service. There people came and I think the price was appropriate for what they did. I would use them again.

Okay...I am bad in that I did not go and get 3 or 4 estimates. I am with Angies List and value what other customers say about the businesses. Stamp & Concrete Masters reviews, ratings and what little bad comments (some people are a little picky) there was confirmed for me that they were a prime choice. After meeting with Ron, I was committed to hiring him for the job. Thanks Ron and crew! (Oh...I sold the pavers on Craigs List...thanks for the pricing tip).
Description of Work: Had stone pavers for 800 square foot of patio space. I had my kids remove the pavers and stack pavers. Ron and his crew came in and fixed the area for pouring. He came back the next day and poured the concrete. The patios look great. The water runs off as should from a rain. Very pleased. Neighbors have been full of compliments as well!

Assigned employee arrived on time. After discussing with me exactly what I wanted done, he made a few excellent suggestions that, in his experience, he felt would improve the quality of the overall job. I decided that he was correct, and work proceeded in a timely manner. The topsoil was of good quality, and was excavated beautifully. Price was definitely fair considering the amount of labor and equipment use involved with the project. I plan on having this company return in the spring to replace my old blacktop driveway with a new concrete one.

Called Ron Diersing on Wednesday. Appt. was made to inspect the site the following Saturday. Saturday at appointed time Ron arrived, looked over the job and quoted a price. The price quoted was reasonable by any standard, and included 10% Angies List discount, which Ron told me about. Job was scheduled for the following Wednesday. Following Wednesday, Ron and his crew arrived on time, and began work. The old driveway was broken up and trucked away. Base and forms set, concrete poured and finished. A six-foot section of walkway to the house was included at no extra cost, and finished to match the rest. I am no stranger to construction, having worked for a builder, and having done many small projects of my own, and for friends, neighbors, etc. Ron and his crew are obvious professionals. both in job skills, and demeanor. They work as an experienced team, and very well. They worked quickly and efficiently. I can not think of anything to complain about. These guys are first-class in my book.
Description of Work: Removed 16X32 asphalt driveway and small section concrete walkway. Prepared site, laid forms and poured concrete. Returned next day (per agreement) and sawed joints in concrete.

Ron arrived on time to the job and provided a good quote for the services. He arrived with his crew early morning and by the end of the day, the apron was perfectly finished. Ron and his team cleaned all the debris and left the area in excellent condition. The job itself looks great. Ron promised that the quality of the cement would be high and we can tell that the finished product looks great. We checked several of our neighbors contractors and the work does not look as good as Ron's work. Ron was very professional and helpful. We will be needed to do a couple of more jobs next year and we will be contacting Ron for the job. Great work Ron! Thank you.

Showed up on time, had all the necessary tools and equipment to do the job. The crew of 4 knew their jobs and worked hard to prepare the walkway prior to the cement trucks arrival. Pour went without incident=31/2 cu. yrds. Left over 1/2 cu yard was used in the back. Total time was 4hrs start to finish. Crew took the form boards so no return trip required. Overall work==EXCELLENT!

Ron was very responsive, always answered his phone, was reliable and was keeping us updated on what he is going to do exactly. Everything was done in matter of day and a half and it is very nice work. He was also exact with his estimate, keeping teh price low although he encountered new problems during the repair.

We decided to have a new concrete driveway & some additional work done approximately 6/4/2010. We had 3 bids done for the work to be completed & we only contacted companies that were in Angies List. All 3 companies responded almost immediately. After having 2 of the estimates completed We contacted Ron Diersing, owner of Stamp & Concrete Masters on Friday June 4th, 2010 and made an appointment for the following day for the estimate. Ron came out as planned Saturday morning, we went over what we had planned, what he thought and suggested. We were impressed with Ron's quick response, his attitude, and his professionalism. I called Ron that evening and accepted his bid. The job was scheduled to start on 7/6/2010. On 7/6/2010 Ron & his crew were on site as scheduled at 7:00 in the morning. They immediately got to work and had all of the prep work laid out and completed that day. Day 2 of this project again was started by 7:00, Ron and his crew were actually on site before 7:00A.M. Patio area, gargage apron and back portion of driveway were poured 2nd.day. The 3rd. and last day of project again started at 7:00 A.M. The Front part of the driveway, sidewalk and sitting area poured. The 3 day job was completed on schedule, what an improvement! We have had neighbors, and people driving by stop & compliment us on how great it looks. I want to thank Ron and his crew for a job well done. I would recommend Stamp and Concrete Masters to others! Great company, owner & crew!
Description of Work: New concrete driveway, also new patio area added at rear of house with steps. The front sidewalk was also replaced and a small additional sitting area was added to the front of the house. The old apron on garage had to be removed due to its height.

Ron is a man of his word and he was very prompt. He came out and gave us an estimate same day and gave us options on when he could start. He offered us choices and options on how to finish our patio overlay and service walks. He freehanded a very nice curb at the bottom of the steps to hold back the grass. Due to the slope Ron offerd to spread all of the extra top soil we needed and spent the time to make sure the job was done right.

Ron is a man of his word and he shows up when he says he is going to show up and he and his crew did an outstanding job. Ron was on time from start to finish, from arriving for the estimate to completing the job. He is very intense about his work and you are in good hands as he is constantly thinking about how he can do the best job for you. He worked with us through the design and I'm very pleased with the results. I wanted to turn my back yard into a place where I can relax with beauty and with Stamp and Concrete Masters they have made this happen. When you work with his crew they treat your job as if it is their own home. I would recommend Ron and his team for your next patio job.

We called Ron for an estimate he got back with us promptly for that. We met for a second time he was going to be a little late. He called to let us know we appreciated that. He walked us through our options patiently and educated us on the process. The day they were to start there was a 60% chance of rain they laid out all the forms and did all the prepwork. There was the same chance of rain the next day.He told us he couldn't obviously pour in the rain but he'd be in touch and wouldn't start another job until we were done. The first thing the next morning they were here. They had watched the weather closely and we had a break on the radar so we were able to get it done. Looks fabulous, excellent customer serv ice, Great follow-through , Happy customer, The Moriarty's
Description of Work: Ron and his crew were fantastic. They did exactly what they said they would do,were punctual and professional. The work they did is excellent. We knew it would be nice but it far exceeded our expectations.!! Time to go enjoy our new patio!!

Our garage floor, driveway and service walk were in need of replacement after 24 years of settling and exposure to harsh weather, which had left them cracked and crumbling. We had these and surrounding areas on our property checked out by a home inspector, who made some very specific recommendations regarding their replacement. Stamp & Concrete Masters submitted the lowest of three estimates, and began work on May 3, 2010. Ron Diersing worked hard to do this job to our satisfaction and to the specifications of our home inspector. He and his crew arrived on time each day and took time to answer all our questions regarding the job. Following the completion of the replacement work there was to be a sealant application made after 30 days. This was delayed for two weeks due to a backorder of the sealant, though Ron kept us apprised of the schedule delay and followed up quickly when the material was delivered to him. The work was completed on June 27, 2010. Overall we have been very pleased with the results and would hire Stamp & Concrete Masters again.

Called me the same day that i called him. I had to wait over a month to get my project done, but it was worth the wait. They did such a beautiful job, and i would use them again. They gave me a fair price and a reduction because i was a Angie's List Member. Ron was very professional. Never have had people on my property that were such hard workers.

Unprofessional and did not seem to care that I had a rough timeline as to when I wanted the work complete. I was flexible to a point, but I cannot wait 2 months.
Description of Work: Ron came out to provide us with an estimate over a month and a half ago and scheduled a date to come to repair our concrete. The day before I called to make sure it was still on and he informed me that he would have to push the date back to the following Monday. On Monday, no one showed up so I called again. He said it would be the end of the week and he would call me on Tuesday. No call Tuesday, so I called Wednesday. He informs me it will be the next Monday (which is a holiday). I told him that we were going to find someone else because it had already been a month and a half and I was hoping to have it done before the 4th of July.

Response from Stamp & Concrete Masters
I gave the member and estimate n May 5, 2010. The member called me a week or so later to schedule the job. We scheduled the start date to be Friday, June 25. 2010. Due to the tremendous amount of rain Columbus had I called and left a message for the member letting her know we needed to reschedule the job. The member called me back on June 29, 2010 and I told her I could start the job on July 2, 2010 and pour the concrete on July 5, 2010. She said she would call me back. When she did call back she informed me she wanted to cancle the job. I am not sure why the member stated there was a two month waiting time-she was in agreement with the original start date and that was delayed due to increment wather. I always keep a record of my calls and would not and have not ever taken two months to start a job. My goals for my company are "Customer Satisfaction, Quality and Perfection"- all of which are a MUST!

The final sidewalk, porch and garage floor seem fine. But these are the things that they did that I'm still living with and paying for the repair: Cracked asphat driveway from cement truck (repair is $600 and my once beautiful driveway will never be the same) Gouges in the driveway Cement on new asphalt driveway by garage from trowling and cement all over driveway from the guys walking on it with cement covered boots Hunks of cement in bush that had to be cut out Trampled plants Cigarette butts and debris Cement splatters on house and garage siding About half the places where the forms were are free of extra cement -- but there are hunks of attached cement that should have been scooped out on the other half Cement truck washed off the cement on it's shoot in my plants and garden - why not the alley or even ask me the best place? Didn't bring up the option of a vapor barrier for the garage floor Cement on new drain that I don't know how I'm going to clean off. Showed up two hours earlier than scheduled -- twice -- without calling I e-mailed all these issues to Ron the day after the work was done to give him a chance to take care of the repairs. It's been a month and he has not responded.---- this is in response to the incredible response from the contractor..I find it amusing that he says that the customer is his only priority...if he had spent as much time contacting us about the problems..as writing his "fiction" about the job..this would have been resolved. He doesn't have to take our word for it...just come back to the scene of the crime...driveway cracked...asphalt driveway full of waste cement...waste cement and stones in our yard...Ron..it's still all there...if you are really concerned about your customers...or is that just talk?

Response from Stamp & Concrete Masters
On behalf of myself and my crew I am responding to the member's negative comments regarding our installation of a concrete garage floor and service walk way at their home, . Needless to say, I was totally shocked and still am about the negative comments the member's posted. After the job was completed, The member stated she was so pleased and thrilled with our work that she was going to give us a great report on Angie's list and i believed her. Because, not only did the member keep saying how much she loved our work she even went as far as naming the garage floor after me and the porch after another employee. So you can imagine how I must have felt when I read the negative feedback on Angie's list. The last day i was at the members home I asked the member to please call (not email) with any problems or concerns they might have. I was not made aware of any problems until 5 weekes later when their negative comments appeared on Angie's list. Believe me, If they had called with their complaints, I would have dropped what I was doing and made it right with the members. I am very proud of my work and want my customers to be satisfied and happy. In my defense and my crew's defense, I would like to share the following details. First of all, let me say, I enjoyed working with the members, they were very friendly and helpful. On Friday afternoon, May 14, 2010 we finished all the concrete prep work for the garage floor and service walk area. Scheduled delievery of the concrete transport truck was set for saturday at 10:30am. At 7:00am, Saturday, I received a call from the concrete company telling me they had to move the delievery time back two hours. I was given no option to have the concrete delivered later. So instead of the job starting at 10:30am we started it at 8:30am. I had no idea this caused so much distress to the members and for this I apologize. Regarding using a vapor barrier, I usually do not use a vapor barrier in a non-living area unless the client insists on it which of course increases the cost. Next, I am very confused about the member's allegations regarding the concrete mess left behind. My crew always sweeps and cleans up any concrete debris that may be left. Next, in order to pour the cement, the cement truck had to back up on their driveway, which the members were made aware of. Also, there was no concreteleft in the chute, just dirty water. Finally, once everything was swept and cleaned, we put up the caution tape to block people from walking on the newly poured concrete. During the time we were at the members we did extra work for them at no additional cost to them. For example, the member asked if I would make her front proch bigger. This request called for 25 square foot of concrete and labor costs-no charge to the members. Also, we dug up 2 concrete pier holes in their side yard and hauled the concrete away. This job took two men at 1/2 hour each-no charge to the members. Another job we did was the insallation of a new porch drain. For this job, which took over an hour, we had to clean out and dig up the old pipe that was plugged solied of dirt and leaves-no charge to the members. Other items not charged to the members were lifting the cable and phone lines so the truck would not pull them down and removal of a treee stump. Once again, I wish I had been given the opportunity to respond to the member's complaints. My goals for my company are "Customer Satisfaction, Quality and Perfection"- all of which are a MUST! Sincerely, Ron Diersing, Stamp and Concrete Masters

Ron had great suggestions on how the make the project work best for me. He was on time, professional, worked efficiently and kept the area tidy. He provided an estimate with details of the work and the final project finished on time and for the quoted price. His workers were polite and in fact he will probably get an additional job from a neighbor. If I ever need additional conrete work done I will be sure to contact Stamp and Concrete Masters.

Ron and his crew showed up right on time the day of the appt. and also called ahead to let me know when they would be there. I went to work and when I got home, they had completed all repair work and the results looked great. The block which had sunk in at one corner had been leveled and they hardly disturbed the mulch bed around it. The hole they patched blended in nicely and the new concrete lip they poured looked great compared to the old concrete they replaced, which was chipping badly. They were very neat and hardly left any mess at all. I would definitely recommend this company and I plan to use them again in the future for any other concrete work.

Ron came by on a Sunday afternoon to give us a quote for the work. As we discussed our ideas, he was extremely helpful with design suggestions that assisted in our envisioning the finished product as well as recommending complimentary colors that matched the stone and stain on our home. Because of the weather, we did not begin the work until Ron felt it was safe to be able to pour. His team came in the week before to remove the deck. They took care as to not damage the cedar siding on our home as well as ensure that power, phone and cable lines were not disrupted. They hauled away all of the wood from the deck so we did not have to worry about what to do with it. The following week Ron and his team came in and laid out the form of the patio and walkway. Ron was very receptive to some minor changes we wanted. Ron was quite creative while designing the step from the house to the patio and we now have a very dramatic landing rather than a short step. The step and walkway to the secondary garage were poured the first day and then the rear patio was poured the second day. It was quite exciting to see how this process worked as well as our patio be created in real time. The next day, Ron removed the front patio and walkway. Ron discussed a design plan for this new patio and walkway that would ensure we would no longer have standing water in this area. It also encompassed raising the patio and walkway so that we no longer had to have a step to get into the front door. The following week this area was poured, cleaned and sealed. RECOMMENDATION! If it were possible to give Ron something higher than an A on this webpage, he would get an A++! Our new patios and walkways are breathtaking! Everyone is coming by to see how beautiful it looks. Ron and his team are amazing to watch. They are all on the same wavelength and know what the other needs while working with concrete. We had a big job in that we didn't want to loose any of the space that our previous deck and patio encompassed and our best guess was that we saw 3 cement trucks while we were home...that is A LOT of concrete! All of this was accomplished with minimal damage to the lawn. He and his team are the most polite and professional contractors we have ever dealt with. Ron is a perfectionist and it shows in his work ethic, quality and most importantly in his personal interaction with his customers.
Description of Work: We recently bought a home that had been empty and somewhat neglected for the past two years. We wanted to replace a very old and deteriorating wood deck on the rear of the home (approximately 60' X 20"!), an approx. 100' wood-plank sidewalk to a secondary garage, the front patio and front cement walkway with new stamped concrete. The front patio was an unsightly "poor man's" attempt at stamped concrete and the front walkway was original and crumbling. We received several quotes to complete this job and Ron's quote was the most reasonable quote we received.

In a single word: SUPERB! It was a refreshing experience to work with Ron Diersing - he is punctual, managed our expectations effectively by taking pains to help us understand what to expect throughout the course of the project, and performed the work beautifully at an extremely competitive price. We would wholeheartedly recommend Ron to anyone interested in a home improvement project requiring the pouring of concrete and would use his services again in the future if the opportunity arises to do so.
Description of Work: We replaced our sidewalk and driveway with concrete.

They quoted me $900 for this job. They had very good reports and also had 10% coupon and when I mentioned he wanted to make sure I get the best price. He was responsive and got right back to me.
Description of Work: Stamp & Concrete Masters came out on Friday and gave me an estimate to replace the top of the porch.

After a day of researching various companies on Angies list I starting making my calls. I chose the contracters that only had "A" ratings and were in NE Columbus. It was a little after 5:00 pm and I called Ron to set up an appointment for an appraisal. He told me he was just finishing up an appraisal in my area and if it was ok he would stop by on his way home. I was very surprised he would make the time that late. I had gotten 4 or 5 previous bids on the same work in the fall but decided to hold off until spring. I was glad I did. I accepted Ron's bid on the spot. He was in the same low end price range and because of his willingness to come out that night I accepted his bid. He showed up when he promised and performed all work that he listed on the contract. Ron is even coming back in a month to apply the sealer. All I have to do is wait 5 days to use my new driveway. What a relief. Thanks Ron and your crew.
Description of Work: Ron replaced a blacktop driveway, concrete approach and city curb. Ron and his crew had to tear out the old, haul away and replace with new. Ron gave me a full description on what work would be done and when on his visit for the appraisal.
