Description of Work: Northern Windows & Doors provided Kolbe brand windows and doors for our new home.

Description of Work: They replaced and installed a whole new front door, transum and side panels.

Description of Work: We needed to replace the door knobs and door hinges throughout our house. Scott came to our house to help us determine what items we needed. He placed the order and delivered the items when they arrived. While I replaced the items, the help of getting the correct door levers (left vs right) was a huge help. They also re-keyed the outside doors so we didn't need to swap out our existing keys.

Description of Work: We got an estimate from Northern Window & Door for windows and installation.

Description of Work: We had two middle placed sliding glass doors and two end-placed stationary doors replaced. Our old doors were all-wood, true divided light multi-paned, as that was the buidling code requirement for our neighborhood when the house was built. Over the last 10 years, we experienced some mild settling, so that the glass doors would not slide open and the screen doors also would not slide. In addition, one of the doors had rotted through. One company we interviewed said that they could send a service team to repair the rotted wood door, but we did not feel comfortable with their description of work and price. They had replaced a simple screen door on our patio, and had not measured properly. So, we decided to try Northern Window and Door, LTD. The salesperson, Ron Laparo, was extemely knowledgeable and came to the house to see the situation and to take preliminary measurements so that he could put together a quote. He was very prompt and professional. He showed me the materials that they used, provided some booklets showing a wood/clad product and invited me to visit the showroom. He also assured me that they had done quite a bit of work in our neighborhood and that the building association now permitted the use of other materials (as opposed to all-wood). He explained that Northern Window and Doors would work with our association to get the needed approval- we would not have to contact the association at all. He e-mailed the preliminary proposal to us and answered multiple e-mails from us, answering all our questions. Once we agreed on a tentative product, he sent the installer out to take final measurements. He then emailed a formal contract for us to look over. At the same time, he sent complete sketches of the work to be done for approval by our association. Once the association approved the product/work, we signed the contract and Ron took care of ordering the doors (Jeldwen products, company is based within a 50 mile radius of Columbus).
