Do not work with this crew. Ron Miller is extremely unprofessional. He lacks communication (as with another poster on google, there was no heads up when they’d be starting work, they just showed up one day). We were in no rush to have the work completed, but the guys brought in a bobcat to dig the hole for a retaining wall (they said it was too hot to do by hand and that they had too many jobs, so they wanted to go fast). In that process they uprooted three trees (a young hibiscus, and two large arborvitae’s that had only been planted the year before). They also tore up our grass and our neighbors grass. We asked Ron to come out to review what the guys had done and he was full of excuses about being too busy and was very emotional. We only asked that they cover the cost of replacing the trees should they die. The next day one of the crew (Fuji) accosted my wife while she was home alone about the “complaints”. She was very scared by his erratic behavior. Ron was called about this, and said that the man had just come from court and so was probably just stressed. We ended up walking away, paid for all materials, and got another local crew to complete the project. They charged 25% of what Ron Miller was charging us. I’ve never worked with people like this in the past, and hope to never have to again.

A family owned business that employs men and women and trains landscaping and other skills that gives employees opportunities for successful careers. We have used Miller Landscaping services for many years now and have been very satisfied with their work. Ron Miller and his sons are easy to work with and responsive to our needs. The curb appeal to our residence has added value to our home. Their high quality and hard work have given us reason to continue with the service, They have improved some of our parks and businesses and made Westerville a more attractive place to live.

Excellent! We needed exert guidance. After a site visit, (where our concerns regarding the COVID-19 virus were respected), our thoughts and preferences were obtained. A few weeks later, the resulting design was trendy yet classic. Via a video call Ron thoroughly and patiently explained the concept, accepting our input, answering questions and making changes. The installation team was professional, polite and helpful. Over the several days they were working, they made changes on the fly based on how things looked at that time. The results are spectacular. Highly recommend this company!

A beautiful job. The design was exactly what we wanted and the workmanship is excellent. They were easy to work with and kept us informed as bad weather impacted their schedules. They coordinated the replacement of the concrete apron and sidewalk leading to the driveway and that went very smoothly as well.

They did a nice job last year and I asked to be put on this year’s spring schedule. When I didn’t hear from anyone, I called and left messages. The last time said the mail box was full. No one ever returned my call.

We were late to the game to get on their schedule, but they gave us an estimate right away, and completed the work in the time frame they gave us. Everything looks wonderful and we are very pleased with their work.

I had picked three highly rated vendors from Angie's list for quotes for this work. I ended up picking Miller even though they weren't the cheapest or the one promising the earliest completion. I was impressed with Ron Miller's professionalism and willingness to work with us to define the project and work out the details. For example, we had planned to have our grandson install the block walls and we had already purchased most of the block. When he returned to school, we decided to hire a hardscaper to finish the work. Miller was happy to use our block. We decided to expand the job and added replacement of wooden timbers around some beds. We expressed concern about the normal timbers that are most often used because we were afraid of chemicals leeching into the vegetable beds. Miller worked with us to source cedar timbers at half the normal price for these timbers. I liked his willingness to allow me to assist on items that I was qualified to help with. Miller provided diagrams of the work and explained the materials he would use. I had someone familiar with construction review his plan and he approved of Miller's methods. Another sign of professionalism and not cutting corners to reduce costs as one vendor proposed. Miller was the only vendor who said he would not be able to complete the job before winter set in, but I counted that as a plus for honesty and pragmatism. Miller's crew (usually led by a family member), came out to work when weather permitted and finished the job in a reasonable amount of time given the weather conditions and late authorization to proceed. I would definitely use Miller again. If you value honest, professional work at a reasonable price, I recommend Miller to you as well.

It ALWAYS goes well with Miller Landscape of Westerville. They are consistently "par excellence" (aka better than all others). Each member of the crew works for the team and the results are always great. Since we are garden enthusiasts and since we like a beautiful yard and since we are very particular, we are so thankful the Miller Landscape's team is on our side. Ron Miller sets the bar very high as do his crew members. A winning combo!

Great. Ron got back with me a day or two later and scheduled to come out to discuss an agreeable design. they put us on the schedule, came out and did the work. Everything turned out great. Very professional!

Ron Miller was outstanding. He involved my young son in measuring, changed the design several times as we thought of various needs and delivered quality work in an extremely timely manner. I would not hesitate to hire him and his team again..

As usual, it went very well. You can always depend on Miller Landscape of Westerville to do top quality work. The owners are top quality, professionals with the highest standards. They do not stop until it meets those high standards. You can count on it. Punctual and reliable also. We are so glad they are here in Westerville even though they do service the entire central Ohio area.

I could not have had a better experience than I had with Miller Landscapes. Ron, the owner, was responsive, on time, professional, and did what he said he would do, at the price he initially quoted. I originally had his team out to add trees along our fence for privacy. We added the mulching job a couple of days before he came. His team was also professional, cleaned up as they worked and worked quickly yet did a very thorough job. I even saw them bowing the debris off the street as they worked so that they weren't making a mess. I hung around and came outside from time to time and they were always friendly and courteous. Better yet, they did our trees in May 2016, and as of now (August) our trees look healthy and strong and already have grown. We were so happy with that job, that we asked them to come out again and add a front patio with flower bed around it. Due to our budget, we asked them to simply prep the flower bed (and I came in after they were finished and planted a few things), and Ron was totally fine with doing that for us. It was a big job, I know we could not have done it. They dug in deep so those pavers aren't going to budge. It was fun having Aaron, a Miller employee, show me different designs with the pavers, and then picking out our design on the spot. Again, on this job, as on the first, Ron's team was curteous, professional and friendly. I had asked Ron to let me know in advance when they would be there because I have four dogs and wanted to be home while it was done so my dogs didn't freak out about strangers on our property. He did this for us, which made the process logistically easy on my end, and less stressful. The second job took a little longer than he originally thought, but they came every day and worked hard continuously, and since I periodically was watching what they were doing I got to see just how thorough and meticulous they were in laying our pavers. It was wonderful! I highly recommend Miller Landscapes to anyone who wants to make their yard more beautiful. You will not be disappointed.

Beautifully. The guys were at my house when they were scheduled, extremely courteous, hard working and cleaned up everything so all I have to do is water my new grass seed. Also, I was happy to hire Westerville firm and Ron Miller is a first class guy. Estimate was reasonable and work was completed when promised.

I had contacted Ron at the end of March to come out and re-design my front yard landscaping. He contacted me right away and was punctual for our appointment. At that point I was unsure of whether I just wanted a design or if I would have them do the work as well, so I asked for a quote on the work too. He originally told me about 2 weeks for a design and then probably another 2 weeks to have them perform the work. He got back with me about 3 weeks later and set up a time to come out to go over the design with us. He was punctual for that meeting as well. He went over the design with my husband and I, then that evening I e-mailed him to let him know a few changes we would like to make to bring the cost into the range of what we had budgeted for the project. There were then a few e-mail exchanges confirming the changes which each took a few days to get a response (I felt that the communication process was a little slow--I was trying to be patient due to it being a busy time of year for him). We finally confirmed and he gave me a date for installation (projected to be 5/29 depending on weather, etc.). I was doing the demo of our old landscaping so having a date to have it done by was important to me. Ron called me on the morning of May 25th to let me know they would be out that day to install the new landscaping (fortunately I was done with the demo--so I was glad to have them come out sooner than expected). He came out himself to deliver the plants and place them according to the plan, and introduced me to his crew who would be doing the work (he left after placing the plants in their buckets where he wanted them planted). They got to work and I checked on them every so often but did not stay and "supervise" them. At one point, before they had some of the shrubs in the ground, I wasn't happy with the placement and asked if we could move a few of them slightly to be what I considered more symmetrical and better spaced. They were very agreeable and we moved a few of them and I told them I would like the boxwoods evenly spaced, etc. which I thought would be common sense and part of their job. I had to leave for several hours and when I returned, they had finished and left. Two of the boxwoods were not evenly spaced (so I guess the guys installing them hadn't really looked at their final work) and I considered calling Ron to have him take care of it, but with the slow response times in the past, I just thought it would be easier/faster to move the bushes myself and not bother him--which is what I did (each needed to be moved a foot or so). I also wasn't thrilled with the way they edged on the side of my house--it isn't straight and doesn't meet up with the edge of the bed coming around from the back side of the house. Since the install I have not received any word from Ron (besides the invoice). I expected he might have come back to check the work, or ask if we were satisfied or thank us for our business or something. I am not dissatisfied with the work necessarily, but I think the communication could be better and after spending close to $2000, I would have liked some follow-up. It also would be nice to know how I should be caring for my new plants.

The crew was extremely hard working, professional, respectful and competent. They each showed pride in their work and wanted to achieve the best possible esthetic results. The results were outstanding. They were prompt and efficient. A very high end, high standards company, led by Ron. No one could get the job done better IMO.

This is our second season with Miller Landscapes and we couldn't be more pleased. Last year they performed spring clean up, mulched and replaced an evergreen and numerous shrubs in the landscape. They also performed monthly bed and shrub maintenance throughout the season, including fall clean-up. Our yard and beds have never looked better. This season we had Ron and crew perform the same spring services as well as replace an arborvitae with a forest pansy eastern redbud tree. Given how our evergreen thrived last year, we are eager to reap the rewards of this addition to the landscape. Ron is very responsive and diligent with his customers. He will present options for the landscape and describe the benefits and/or limitations of each. We intend to continue to use Miller Landscapes and are already considering an additional project with them this summer.

Ron was easy to work with. The guys that came by and did the work did a great job. All areas looked fabulous and they worked hard. The price was competitive and the work was great.

When Ron first came to look at our yard, he took time to understand what we wanted to have done. Then he spent nearly an hour looking at our yard and making notes. Ron's employees arrived on time and worked hard and did a very professional job. Ron kept us informed as to the progress of the job. Ron also removed an old flower bed and suggested planting shrubs there for privacy. We agreed, and are very pleased. At one point he informed us that in digging for tree roots, the machine had accidentally broken a buried pipe coming from our sump pump. He immediately assured us that it would be repaired at his expense that day, and it was. We were impressed with the company's work ethic, the friendliness of the employees, and the honesty of acknowledging a mistake and making it right. We've had neighbors comment on the extent of the job and the tireless work of the employees.

I met with Ron the owner on several occasions. More than I have ever met with a landscaper as this was a significant job. DO NOT be fooled by the guise of his fancy folders and quick talk. They were 2 weeks late to start, I was on vacation and assumed that the job was being done. I was wrong and he did not even tell me they hadn't started. I had to ask an employee of ours. When they did start Ron was literally whining about losing much of his staff. Someone had gone to Vegas to get married and took a bunch of employees with him. Someone was having a baby. The list went on and on. I reminded him that his situation was not my problem. Later on he must have forgotten the lies because the story changed as to why he had so few employees left. Initially the property looked pretty good. There was a large area that I paid separately to be weeded and weed prevention applied. Well he couldn't clear it initially because it had so much poison ivy. He did not come back to clear it when he said he would. He then sent me a whiny/unprofessional text (that I still have) about paying him. I reminded him that that area was not completed and that it says right on the bottom of his invoice not to pay until the work was completed and I was satisfied. Well, against my better judgment, I paid him and he promised to clear that area. Yes, I have that text message too. About 1 month after the completion, the weeds were again wildly out of control despite paying HUNDREDS of dollars for weed prevention, and a tree at the entrance was not pruned. When I treated my home landscaping for weed prevention, I was careful and applied it appropriately and have not had ONE weed regrown. I contacted Ron and his response was very condescending. He thought I needed to be in contact with another vendor to "explain to me" weed control and ever so kindly gave me several companies that he felt might be able to do that. I understand it very well. When you cut them off instead of remove them AND do not apply proper weed prevention, they certainly do regrow. Actually, very quickly. His response was that I signed a contract and paid him and it is as simple as that. You would never know looking at the property today that we spent $6500 2 months ago, It really is that bad. Pictures do not lie. It has been a rare occurrence in my life that I have dealt with such a disreputable business owner. He was a few thousand higher than the other estimates but I trusted him to do a good job. Not only did he not do a good job, he had no intention of rectifying the situation which I have also rarely encountered. DO NOT be fooled by his faux professionalism. He does not stand behind his work and that will eventually be his demise. Should he attempt to respond, I would like to say I have documentation of EVERYTING in this post and everything disputed can be proven. I do have a very poor opinion of this business owner but these are the facts.

It went great. They were prompt, polite and did a wonderful job. I would highly recommend them to any of our friends or neighbors.
