About us

The Mike Earl Kemp Roofing Company is family owned and operated since 1946 when Earl Kemp moved to Columbus Ohio with his many brothers and created the Kemp Brothers Roofing Company. Young Mike learned from his father how to roof the "old fashioned way". Meaning, he was to show respect to the customer,use the best materials and do a great job. He did all the work himself. He eventually hired his son to assist,teaching him the same as he was taught. Mike has roofed for over 35 years and seems to have a special knack for difficult leaks. He also specializes in skylights, solving the leak problem when others could not. Mike does all roofing work as well as gutter cleanings,repairs and/or replacement. And you should see his sheet-metal work. It is superior. Copper being his favorite to work with. In all the years he's worked he has not had an unhappy customer - ever.

They do good quality work in a timely manner. They price was very fair. He is a pretty pleasant person. He would work with me on any problems and I certainly got want I wanted from him.

THEY LEFT SOME SCAFFOLDING UP AN EXTRA DAY SO I COULD PAINT SOME TRIM THAT WAS DIFFICULT TO REACH BY LADDER. VERY HELPFUL.
Description of Work: THEY RE-ROOFED MY ROOF WITHOUT SELLING ME EXTRA UNNEEDED ITEMS SUCH AS GUTTERS THAT IS COMMON WITH OTHER ROOFERS. THE ROOF WAS LARGE WITH SOME VERY STEEP AREAS, SKYLIGHTS AND A CHIMNEY. ALL WORK WAS DONE PROMPTLY. I HAVE DONE MY OWN ROOFING AND I CAN SEE THAT THEY DID A VERY PROFESSIONAL JOB FOR 20% LESS THAN OTHER QUOTES WITH NO SURPRISES.
