I contacted McLain's after seeing the excellent reviews in Angie's List. My previous provider had increased their price. So far, I'm pleased with the result. McLain's showed up on time and delivered a full cord of seasoned hardwood splits. If it burns as good as it looks, I'll be a regular customer.

Arrived in the time frame provided. The wood was "as advertised"; quantity, quality and mixed types.

Called on a Thursday to have 1/2 cord of firewood delivered. Original appt. was Monday and then they called back and asked if they could come the next day on Friday. Called ahead to make sure I was home and asked where I wanted it dumped when they arrived. Firewood was cut into manageable pieces and seasoned well. Has burned very well in my fireplace. They informed me they would send out a flyer in September to remind me if I needed more firewood for the next winter season.

Called with request leaving message. They called back the same day and said they had the wood. It was delivered two days later at the exact time designated. The wood is good. Great job!

I called and left a message about buying firewood. The call was returned promptly, and the appointment was scheduled. They showed up when they said they would, gave me a receipt, and were extremely professional throughout.

Julie answered the phone and told me about their family company. She was very polite, described the wood and took my order. The wood was delivered about 10 days later, and appears to be of good quality. My only hesitation was leaving cash in an envelope on my back porch because I could not be home. I will use them again, hoping they will accept a check.

MCCLAIN'S FIREWOOD CHARGED $145 FOR A CORD OF FIREWOOD AND MADE AN APPOINTMENT FOR DELIVERY. THEY DO REQUIRE THAT SOMEONE BE HOME WHEN THEY DELIVER. MY APPOINTMENT FOR DELIVERY WAS BETWEEN 11:00-11:30 AND THEY ARRIVED AT 11:10 AND DUMPED THE WOOD AT EXACTLY THE SPOT I REQUESTED. THE MAN WHO DELIVERED WAS PLEASANT AND TOLD ME ABOUT THE WOOD AND THAT THEY WOULD SEND ME A FLYER NEXT YEAR AS A REMINDER. I'M VERY PLEASED WITH THE QUALITY OF THE WOOD AND DELIVERY SERVICE AND DEFINITELY PLAN TO BUY FROM MCCLAIN'S IN THE FUTURE.
