The work was professional and prompt.

The actual plumbing part was OK, but they destroyed my brand new tub and shower. I had just paid $2500 for a new tub/shower and was VERY clear with the plumber who came that he needed to be very gentle with the brand new showers. Still, he took a huge chip out of one and dripped molten metal onto the bottom of the other. Both will need extensive repairs. When we called to let them know this, they just gave us the run around, did not call us back when they said they would, claimed the owner was out of town and they couldn't do anything until their return. Meanwhile, we have to move forward with repairs because there is a giant CHIP out of the new tub that I do not want water collecting in! I have never experienced such awful service. I do not recommend using Jack L Woods if you want people to value your home and belongings. They are careless and unresponsive. This is actually the first negative review I've ever written, so I don't make a habit out of this. But, my experience was so terrible, I really do feel like I need to warn people. I also posted a similar review on our neighborhood Facebook group so people will be aware of what they're getting into if they hire these folks. Expect property damage, carelessness, and, then, complete disregard.

very smooth. The plumber who did the work, Tim Foley, is the best! He is very experienced and knowledgeable. He listened to my description of the problem and seemed to know before even looking at the toilet what to do. As soon as he got out his flashlight and had the cover off the tank, his theory confirmed, went about the repair. No trial and error. No running back and forth to the truck. Wow!

After contacting the company a plumber was able to come out within an hour. The repair was done quickly and completed in less than an hour as well with a very reasonable cost.

My 80 year old grandmother called this company upon the recommendation of a neighbor. Despite their being a ONE WEEK wait, she continued with the company even though she was without hot water this entire time. She ended up going to the hospital during that week wait, and her neighbors met with the plumber. He made one small fix, which ended up not working by the time he walked out the door, ultimately resulting in the hot water heater needing replaced. The company never once asked my grandmother for her approval or gave her a quote, nor did they attempt to contact any family, they strictly took the word of a neighbor to put in this appliance. The neighbor had told us she had hers replaced recently, and it cost her approximately $500. Jack L Woods company decided to install an $875 water heater (gas and only 40lbs) and charged over $300 in labor, with "supposed" extra time needed for "extra" parts. They also charged for the initial "fix" which did nothing to help at all. When confronted about these discrepancies in the bill, the person on the phone was unwilling to make any adjustments, or compensation. DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They take advantage of elderly women in hospitals, and do anything to make a quick extra buck at the expense of the vulnerable!

It could not have gone better. Jack L Woods employees called before coming, were on time and handled the task very professionally. They were at all times courteous and answered all questions we had. If you need plumbing work done you do not need to look any further than Jack L Woods plumbing. They have done work for us several times (including installing a hot water heater) and the work is always done correctly and priced fairly.

They found the source, made only a minimal opening to get to everything, protected the carpet from further damage, and quickly repaired the leak. All with ease and professionalism-great job !

Scheduling was not a problem. They arrived as promised. Had to order a new stem and were told they would return. The return visit took longer than anticipated but not a problem. The technician replaced one of our 4 shower valves. He left with the my assumption everything was completed and good. Once I went to shower to inspect the work I was completely disappointed. The man left a mess inside out walk in shower. There was debri all over the floor and there was actual blood left on the tile. Additionally, the one out of 4 handles now turned on and off the opposite direction of the others and was left with the arrow turning opposite of the other three. I immediately callEd and spoke to th manager and was said they he would look into it. He called back confirming the tech had cut himself though he felt it was minimal. It was not excessive but it was left on the tile wall and tile floor. He also said they no longer made universal stems that could be turned right or left and this was the only option unless I wanted to go online and find an alternative. We have been in contact both them repeatedly and have gotten nowhere. Had I been given the option I would have researched alternatives. We asked for it to be put back to original arm and we would deal with it and were told they would make concessions. To date we were notified they are sending us to collection and they have done nothing to fix the problem, The manager did not seem to think the mess or blood was any concern. It was unprofessional and the lack of response is even more unprofessional.

I did a significant master bath remodel myself and chose to have the plumbing work done professionally. I've used Jack L Wood before on small jobs, and calling again turned out to be the smartest thing I did on this project. They assigned Jim who often does the remodels and he and I hit it off great. First in the demo phase, he helped remove a box tub that needed to have the drain lines moved, vent pipes relocated into the wall and the feed lines capped off in preparation for what was yet to come. He got everything squared away for me and I went to work on demolition. Several weeks later it was time to start setting the new lines for a clawfoot tub I'd bought, plus I needed to have all 4 of the sink lines and the drains moved to accommodate the cabinets we'd ordered. Unlike a regular tub where everything's hidden and can be routed any which-way, a footed tub requires the drain and feed lines to be in precisely the right place and Jim came back and set the piping and drain beautifully. Then I got the subfloor back on, finished the sheetrock walls and installed the new flooring. He came back a third time to set the tub which is complicated and it came out spectacular. The cabinets were in so he installed new ball valves which replaced the crappy old feed valves, ready for me to hook up the faucets. Jim's mantra is to do everything perfectly and we ended up with a fantastic new master bath, and I know that all of the guts you can't see are built to last. So Woods plumbing came out at three key times helping me in my bathroom remodel and the quality of work was excellent.

Dave S, the tech, listened to the problem, had a good idea of the cause, and replaced two parts which got everything in tip top shape. Very pleased by Jack Woods' professionalism and knowledge. They solve problems and get things fixed fast!

First of all I have found(and been told by some others) that their services are overpriced. I found this to be the case but had no choice other than to use them when we did. I am writing this review as it relates to this repair that was done almost one year to the day. We had this same pipe leak again and cause water in our basement. When I looked at the damage I found no indication of a break in the actual pipe, but where it came apart where it was threaded. This seemed strange to me, my wife, and then the plumber from another company who came to our home. When I initially called Jack Woods to ask about coming to our home they could not for several days. When I asked the man who answered the phone what their warranty was on their work he didn't know. This was after calling a number of times and they don't even have an answering machine to leave any message. This is also a company without a website too. How do you run a business in 2018 without a website? In any case when the plumber from the other company came he did the same work from what we can see and fixed it at a far less cost that Jack Woods and didn't understand how this could have happened. Before I called any plumber my first thought was that it did due to poor workmanship because of where the pipe separated. After the repair was completed I called Jack Woods, told them what had happened, and sent them a picture of the damage this time. Rex called me back and insisted that this was due to a frozen pipe, even though we had additional insulation, a shut-off valve installed, and a vent to allow warm air to enter the area to prevent this from happening again. For these reasons all indications are to me that this was a case of poor workmanship as I don't believe that the technician properly secured this piece. In addition, I read a review about them on the BBB's website where another customer had what sounded like a similar problem. I can't afford to take any chance with a company like Jack Woods that something like this would happen within one year of their work being done, the water damage to be done, and my opinion of the poor workmanship because there is no indication of any really crack in any pipe. I don't accept that this "just happened" as Rex wanted me to believe. I will not use them again and will advise others that I speak with not to do so either.

It went great. They showed up within hours and fixed the problem. I was scared it was going to be some huge problem, and he just needed to switch out a small part. Was very nice.

Work went well. I asked for a half hour notice to get to the location as it was a rental property and I needed to let the plumber in. I did not get enough notice and the plumber was there before I arrived. It appeared that I was charged for some of the time the plumber waited for my arrival. I have used this company before and have generally been satisfied with their quality of work which is why I will continue to use their services.

I've been using Jack Woods since the 1980's. They are a reliable and punctual company although I've always felt their prices were slightly high. Lately, it typically takes a week to get an appointment because they are so popular. They arrive on time, once they arrive they hustle through the work and typically do a good job. I never felt they cut corners. Many of the workmen have been with the company for years or decades, so they know what they are about. On this visit, the two man team (coming from another job because this job did not require two men although it shortened the time they were here) arrived on time and set right to work. I typically offer coffee or beverages to the tradesmen I hire, but none of these guys would take the time out to have any. They completed everything reasonably quickly and then they left. On this occasion, I found that the washing machine on which they had replaced the hoses no longer worked. I called them and they promised to send someone out the next morning which they did. He checked things out and put on new hoses (we thought the original hoses I had purchased had caused the problem because they had a burst safety feature we thought had triggered (this proved not to be the case, the hoses were fine). The washer seemed to work, but further testing demonstrated it was not. Anyway, I got a washer repairman in and he demonstrated that the hot water feed valve was no longer delivering any water what so ever. I called Jack Woods, explained the situation and they sent out another guy the next morning. He replaced both feed valves and all is well. While the valve failed while they were tuning it, it is 16 years old, so I don't fault them for the fact it failed during their repair. I do wish they had done a better job of testing the original repair and then a better job of troubleshooting. However, I still they they are a high quality company and I would use them again.

Excellent. There is a reason I only call Woods when I need plumbing repair. Tim came out on the same day and re-installed a disposal that was incorrectly installed. Did a great job and cleaned up afterwards. Very personable. Enjoyed the conversation while he worked. I'll continue to call Woods for all my plumbing needs and anyone who does the same will not be disappointed.

The plumber who came out was prompt and courteous. As I said in the comments above, I give this company a AAA rating if I could, and will definitely use them again. In fact I'm adding to my contact list. I highly recommend them.

It was fixed within 30 minutes with a replacement of the outside faucet.
