Good. He diagnosed the problem and replaced the fault valves very quickly.

Plumber got there as promised and he was in and out quickly.

TLDR; If you have Glacier Bay fixtures, don't call them. They will refuse to work on them and will instead recommend expensive and unnecessary replacements to fix simple routine problems. I have done business with Jack L. Woods Plumbing for several years. So naturally, I called them when the kitchen faucet that they installed for me about 4 years ago (July 2013) started to leak. I suspected the problem was something simple like a cartridge or a seal, however, I outsource these tasks because the experts can do these types of jobs at least 3 times faster and with higher quality than I can, which makes my time better spent focusing on my own work. At the time that this service call occurred, I was under a particularly heavy crunch with work, and only just now can afford the time to relay my experience. The technician arrived on time. He first checked to make sure the hose for the pull-out wasn’t the cause of the leak, then he stopped and told me that he would not be able to get parts for my faucet (a Glacier Bay), that they were not particularly good faucets, and that it would not be worth repairing the faucet. Mind you, the technician only checked one thing before coming to this conclusion, and he never definitively identified the source of the leak before coming to this opinion. After I realized that he would not be fixing my leaky faucet, I told the technician that we seemed to be done with our business. He proceeds to tell me about how he is going to waive half of the normal 1-hour diagnostic fee. Remember, this technician only checked one thing, never found any definitive problem before coming to his conclusion, and refused to proceed any further until I agreed to a faucet replacement. I told him I felt that it was very unfair to charge me anything, given that a negligible amount of service was provided. He informed me at that point that the problem “was probably the cartridge” without actually checking anything. We went back and forth for a bit, and finally I told him that I would give him the $38, but that it would be the last time that his company sets foot in my house. He returned to his van for a few minutes, and came back in a few minutes to let me know that he had spoken to his manager, and they had decided that I would not be charged after all. The technician also confirmed with his manager that they would not be able to obtain any parts to work on Glacier Bay faucets. This decision to not go through with charging me for this farce of a visit is the ONLY thing that keeps this review from receiving an F grade for professionalism. I realized that I was going to have to fix this problem myself, even though that would be frustratingly inefficient. I decided to start with the cartridge, since that was “probably” what the problem was. It only took me a few minutes online to find the correct cartridge for my model of faucet, and while it was out of stock at my local big box stores, it was easy enough to order. When the cartridge arrived, it took me about 90 minutes to figure out how to install it. Install it I did, though, all the while thinking about the other work that I needed to do, work I could have been doing had the company I hired to fix my plumbing problems actually been willing to do more than check one non-leaking fitting. I’m sure the job would have taken one of their technicians 20 minutes, tops. Five months later, and still no leaks. There was no need to replace a 4 year old fixture, thank you very much. Jack L. Woods Plumbing may have had bad experiences with Glacier Bay fixtures in the past. It’s unfortunate that they choose to pay that negativity forward by recommending unnecessary fixture replacements and leaving customers in a bind by refusing perform even routine maintenance repairs on a popular brand of fixture. In doing so, they portray themselves no better than the brands they denigrate. At best, this practice is arrogant and elitist. At worst, it is dishonest and defrauding. I made sure that writing this review stayed on my to-do list, because this is hands-down one of the worst experiences with a contractor that I have had in years, and the worst experience that I've ever had with a provider recommended by Angie's List. Months later, thinking about this experience still gets my blood pressure up.

Plumber was knowledgeable but in an effort to hurry, the job lasted almost 2 hours when it should have been just an hour

John from Jack L. Woods came out quickly and the same morning I noticed the issue. They gave me a window from 10-3 but then had a cancelation, called promptly and John was at my house by 8:15am. Work was performed quickly and with high quality. John replaced part of the copper pipe near the connection point as it had been twisted at some point prior to us moving into the home. This is the second time we have used Jack L. Woods. They do quality work and although they are not the cheapest you will not have to worry about the work which is a big deal.

It was excellent. They're always on time. They're always very respectful. They put their booties on when they come in. I have been using them for almost 20 years. Their work is always done professionally and always done right.

Everything is fixed and we we're able to sell our home.

Everything went better than expected. Rick is very knowledge and personable explaining what he would do to install the water lines and the laundry sink. Most of important of all, he noticed that my sump pump hadn't been working for while as the tub was filled almost to the trim with water. Thank goodness he noticed this and replaced the pump. Otherwise I would have had a flooded basement. All is working great now. I will call them again next time I need a plumber.

Service person was prompt, courteous, and considerate. We were pleased with the work, the price, and the professionalism.

They were very professional, friendly and accommodating. They worked around a floor-installation, so that the toilet only had to be set once. We have used them numerous times and always have had good experiences.

The fill valve was replaced, but the price was higher than was quoted. When I questioned the higher price I was told that the price that was billed was correct. No further discussion

Outside water spigot installation and bathtub drain switch installed on Woods' first trip. Because the garbage disposal did not have an electrical cord attachment, Woods needed to return the following week with the correct garbage disposal to install. Everything was done as promised and everything is working perfectly.

Their prices are very fair and they always do good work.

Jack Woods Plumbing has been there to answer the call for my family several times in the last few years, and twice now on a weekend. In every case they've been responsive, courtesy and able to respond in a timely manner. Today was the second time we had to call for their emergency service, and today Dave returned my call within the hour, quoted the emergency charge (much less than a competitor!) and arrived within 20 minutes. A quick part replacement and he was gone in about 20 minutes, and we were confident in the fix. Dave was courteous, quick and professional. They'll always be our first call for plumbing needs from now on.

It was a big job but it went very well and I would use again. Professional and great workmanship.

Always professional and thorough. One unsatisfactory experience several years ago due to unprofessional worker, but very pleased since then. Barry is especially thorough, and was able to repair our hot water tank rather than replace, saving us hundreds of dollars. I gave Jack L. Woods a C for responsiveness because the last year or two, when you call seeking service, they always say they can get out about four days later, unless you want to pay "emergency " or "overtime" charges, or some such term. I'd rather they just raise their prices and provide same day or next day service; their approach seems like a way to raise prices without actually doing so on paper. Their standard hourly rate is fair, but emergency rate a bit high. This is a solid company to hire and I recommend them.

I did the last bits, attached faucets and all that stuff. They did a good job. They actually, building code requires that they can't go inside the outer wall, so they ran it through the floor.

It was less than a half a day. I'm tempted to say the morning, but it was probably more like two, two and a half hours. It required the City of Westerville to come in and shut off the valve at the street. There are two. There's one at the front yard. It turns out that when the city came in to shut off the street valve, it sheared off, and so I had to postpone the plumber. Then the city came in, dug a dirty big hole and repaired the street valve, and then we got the plumbers back.

Job went just fine. The plumber was very good at what he did. He removed the faulty valve and the pipes that went with that valve. He also installed a ball valve to shut off the main line after the meter. This was done to avoid using a very old main cut off valve that could possibly leak if used again.
